Put a deposit down for a house but was…

Put a deposit down for a house but was never fully informed about uncapped annual maintenance fees being charged on public land associated with the estate. When I asked about this we were given vague answers and told 'not to worry about it'. Decided to pull out when my lender expressed concern about this as well. They also required to see an AIP before even showing us around the estate which I feel was unnecessary and puts the buyer at a disadvantage. Wouldn't recommend.

Buying our new home was a smooth experience, we were helped every step of the way by Chris the sales advisor. Now we have moved in we love our new home, and the guys on site, Andy the site manager and Jamie the assistant site manager have helped us to settle in, being on hand with any help we have needed. We recently purchased a property on St Peter’s Park, Mawdesley, Lancashire. We bought via the help to buy scheme and Jones recommendation of their partners to help us sell what was our previous home. I have to say how refreshing it is to find a company who still hold professional standards and have welcoming and professional people. We have lived on the site for a month now and couldn’t be happier. We have previously bought a new home before this purchase and the two just cannot be compared. The new home demonstration before we moved in was really great and helpful. Jones have been fantastic and I would recommend to anyone. The home is beautiful and we as a family are thrilled and so happy. To Sharon we couldn’t have done this without you, from our hearts we cannot thank you enough. So after my first review where i…

So after my first review where i basically gave jones homes a thumbs up i feel a strong need to write a second one....basically we were assured from day one that our house was the last one on phase 1...this turned out to be completely false....they decided to add 4 more...all well and good except for the fact that the utilities stopped at ours....this has meant instead of work outside our house stopping around xmas it is still like the somme outside and has been since november...there are huge holes outside...the road is non existent...the constant mess, noise and upheaval has gone beyond reasonable tolerance...we have had no contact from head office...they seem to want to leave it to the site manager to basically tell us nothing!! Now i come home to see that the fence next door is at right angles to ours and more than 2 feet higher??? Absoloute amateurism!! Not to even mention the cracks appearing from all the extra earth works...had i known id be living in such a mess i wouldnt have bought the damn place....

Terrible Quality Homes, Even Worse Aftercare

Purchased a home on the Beaumont Gardens estate over 4 years ago and we couldn't regret our decision more. We had no end of snagging issues & not just the standard stuff you'd expect like unpainted/plastered bits we're talking flooring not fitted properly or stuck down, grass in the garden being completely dead (a problem across the entire estate which chorley council had to be involved in before Jones would even look into), taps aren't fitted properly and leaking from the word go, the boilers they installed blowing within the first few years which again was due to the cheapest boilers being used and the same fault happening with multiple people on the estate according to British Gas engineer. What really shocks me is how bad the aftercare/customer service is, jones homes don't care in the slightest and refute everything you report to them as say "it's meant to be that way" or "thats wear and tear, its your fault" (after a few months). They try to put off helping for as long as possible till you are outside of the care/warranty period.If you're considering buying a home from them, walk away, you're already getting poor space/value for money & you aren't going to get good quality for it either.

Extremely poor customer service from Jones Homes. Think twice before buying a Jones Homes property.Gas Leak found in our property through incompetence during the construction phase. Putting my family at risk due to no fault of our own.No evidence of gas tightness check within our paperwork prior to us moving in which has been requested on numerous occasions from Jones Homes. Still awaiting our official complaint to be appropriately answered 3 months later.The office is North West but I don’t think anything will be done. We continued to be fobbed off and the issue brushed under the carpet. Utter cowboys! Been told it’s unfortunate by the regional manager and these things happen. Gas leak serious in my eyes and I feel the only way something would have been done was if we had been harmed. It’s a joke.

New house.... Never buy Jones homes

New house, after being in it one year the garage flooded, terrible service, the heating still does not work. British gas say it was never flushed through when installed and Jones Homes will not do a thing. Banging pipes, the floor boards are so thin you can hear when others are in the shower. The kitchen has now things broken, and the house is only 3 years old. The after service is terrible. The bath at the top does not work. Just disgraceful. Stay clear

If I could give less than one star I would.This is a cowboy company, using cheap subbies to do a shoddy job.From daily harassment pre completion, to not offering a pre plaster walk around and then having to sign a waiver so we could complete on time it’s been a stressful time. 4 months after moving in, snagging list gets longer by the day and the site manager is never helpful, always saying things will be done but they rarely are. Buy elsewhere, these aren’t worth the hassle.Cavendish Grange, Bolsover!

We recently purchased a property from Jones Homes (Lancashire) on their Willows Development. This is a beautifully stunning development of just 6 properties, which makes it feel very exclusive.The sales process was seamless and stress-free with Lisa our lovely Sales Advisor. We did have a few snags which have been picked up by their Customer Services Department, who have all (including their technicians) been very professional and amazingly friendly. After reading previous reviews, we cannot understand the negative comments as we have not experienced this and can only compliment the Company.We feel that our home has been built to an excellent standard and the fittings are of good quality, we are the envy of our friends and family. In fact a couple of our friends are looking at homes on their Poulton development.Keep up the good work :0)

Do not buy from this company!

Do not buy from this company! This company dose not even deserve 1 star. The amount of faults we have had/still having is beyond ridiculous. The workmanship is extremely poor and in some cases having to return up to 5 time to rectify faults. The stress and anxciety this company has caused and are still causing our family I can never forgive them for. Thank fully the NHBC have helped us and have had to take over some of the work due to the extremely poor standard of workmanship on the part of Jones Homes. The customer service is shocking, this company only cares about saving money and using contractors that do a very very poor standard of work.

We purchased a new build

We purchased a new build , well where can i start , the bath, 1st time i used it ,pulled the plug and the water trap under the bath wasnt connected properly , gallons of water flooded the kitchen , ceiling was wrecked, stone work not plumb or flush , joints inconsistent, internal doors were made of cardboard, skirting board also made of compressed paper, uneven foors, poor joinery, garden full of rubble , NEVER BUY A NEW BUILD, until these greedy cowboys get it right .

We have lived in our Jones Home for 6 months and are generally very pleased with it. Yes there have been snags which have been seen to but nothing major. We have found the sales staff and site people quite friendly and helpful and willing to listen to any concerns.The site is still being developed so there are delivery lorries and machines operating most days but we haven't found that to be any problem. We find living in Ribbleswood Chase very pleasant and generally quiet and are glad to find a nice small development within our known area which at the moment is being developed at an alarming rate with quite large and sprawling estates.

We are enjoying our retirement in our new home. The process of completion (despite Covid19) was very smooth and we moved in on the agreed day.Despite some snagging (which was no more than you would expect for a new build) we are more than happy with our new home and would strongly recommend Jones Homes. House design is brilliant but the quality and workmanship is shocking. I'm in the building trade, and can't believe the workmanship around me, silicone around the Bath looks like a child has done it, in fact all the silicone around the house is a mess. Cracked windows, odd size architraves, cracked doors, doors that don't open, doors that don't shut... Really bad quality, wish we could get rid of it... Up yours Jones homes..
