Garage misrepresentation. update 31/03/26: .... after raising concerns about the garage being misrepresented , I was told that legal action may be taken if I do not remove the review.! Mark & Hugh (owners at DFW) along with the vendor, sold a garage that was misrepresented The wrong garage was shown to me and also to the surveyor I relied on this in good faith and suffered financial loss The correct garage had long-term vegetation and lack of maintenance, causing further damage and extra costs I relied on the information provided during several viewings, offers made and final decision to purchase with a stressful conveyancing process, but no proper checks were done, including failure to check title deeds by DFW The key was held by the Vendor and DFW and the incorrect garage was shown multiple times They claim over 30 years of experience and to support clients fully, but my experience was very different I was let down, ignored, and refused compensation, taking advantage of my vulnerabilities, causing ongoing stress and financial loss Myself and my family carried out back-breaking work cleaning the garage based on the sale The correct owner benefited from this work and also received at least £500 compensation despite no loss She is now in a better position, while I, as the affected party, have suffered loss They avoided responsibility and passed to The Property Ombudsman instead of resolving fairly No accountability and no genuine attempt to put things right Estate agents are regulated by the Estate Agents Act 1979, which requires honesty, fairness, and acting in the best interests of clients (buyers & sellers) and not to misrepresent details. No evidence of this. Unsurprisingly, website testimonials only show positive comments Be aware of what you are told, as there appears to be a lack of due diligence Unequal treatment and discrimination The other party has been rewarded yet I AM THE VICTIM Conduct has been unfair, unjust, and extremely distressing.

An excellent service. We sold a probate apartment with Ben as our main contact. He was highly professional, gave good advice and worked incredibly hard dealing with the challenges in getting the transaction home. We trusted him 100%.
