Terrible management agent. Our building was just torn apart by a fibre company. They didn't even know it was happenning. No work order. No communication. Dust everywhere. Holes ripped in walls. Rather than questioning what was happenning, they just let the installation complete, shrugged it off, with ia it'll take too long to get a proper solution from the company. High turnover of staff. Always a new contact there.

I am really very sorry that you have had this experience. I have investigated this today and it seems that Cityfibre attended without informing us and with no authorisation from us. Our Property Manager Tina attended herself as soon as we were alerted, but as works had already commenced another resident asked that they be allowed to continue rather than return to cause even more disruption on another future date (and potentially leave a mess in the meantime).
We are equally disappointed in the situation but had no knowledge or say other than the above. The last two Property Managers for your development both stayed with our company for over 5 years. I would be happy to discuss further if you wish to email me on jrich@spacelettings.com

GoogleSpace have been our managing agents after we replaced our previous agents that had provided an inadequate service. All the team at Space have always been quick to respond, kept costs at a reasonable level, and provided us with decent quality contractors when works have been carried out. Jeremy Rich recently was on call all weekend to help solve the problem of a burst water main that looked like it was getting out of control, and helped us to secure a contractor to fix the problem immediately. Maisie Vincent is our excellent block manager, she responds promptly to any issues and "gets the job done". Maisie has gone above and beyond recently by providing constant support in helping us to deal with a very difficult problem tenant, remaining professional and calm throughout what was a very challenging two year period, until the tenant was served notice. I cannot thank Maisie enough for the support she gave myself, other directors and residents at this upsetting time. I would thoroughly recommend Space for all property matters, whether it be block management, lettings or sales.

They did a super thorough inventory when we moved in, and it really came in handy when the landlord tried some unreasonable requests at the end of our lease. We didn't really have to deal with them much during the rental period since we handled things directly with the landlord.

Worst ever estate agents in St Albans. They never had any intentions to return your deposit. They charge you for the items which were never in the property in the first place. Also they charge you for items like cleaning etc even if you have given them the property in very professionally clean.

I am sorry that you are disappointed but the normal check out procedure has been followed and your deposit was protected with the government approved scheme and so you have access to a third party arbitrator who makes a judgement on these things - not ourselves as the agent. If there is ever a deduction for cleaning then this is to cover the cost of the cleaning contractors which are appointed on behalf of the landlord. The arbitrator makes the final decision though and not either the agent or the landlord. Jeremy Rich, Director

A very incompetent company which has not one intelligent person among them. Ever since they’ve got no commission in rentals, they’re chancing their arm with the deposit. I’ve checked online and all the newspapers have picked up on this. It’s very easy to take them to court and get your deposit and more. If you’ve no qualifications then this is the job for you......

We have followed the rules of The Dispute Service to the letter and we are sorry if you do not agree with the process. Please note that any deductions made from a deposit are never kept by the agent but spent on the property to reinstate as per the original inventory subject of course to fair wear and tear.
