TrustpilotHighly inaccurate valuations
Zoopla’s house prices on there web site are so inaccurate it’s ridiculous. It’s all a big con to try to get you to contact them.

Hi Neil,
Thank you for your review. We're really sorry to hear you feel this way about our valuation model.
The Zoopla house price estimate is based on data fed through an automated valuation model (AVM), which analyses property information on all 29 million UK homes on a continuous basis. Our data comes from multiple sources based on a number of data points relating to property sales, values and home characteristics throughout the UK, including publicly available data such as that from HM Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.
The accuracy of Zoopla estimates is influenced by a number of factors such as the current market values of homes, the quality of the information available on the given property and the availability of comparable properties in the area. This means that unique properties or those where the housing market is slower, may experience less accurate estimates.
We receive new data all the time and above-average variations will be largely a result of changing property characteristics and the comparability of the property to the local market. Therefore, discrepancies and/or increases or decreases such as you have outlined are not unusual.
Here is a Help Centre article that will give you more information on where we get our data from:

I tried Twitter and Zoopla ignored me so here goes. I have a small property which I bought as an investment back in 2017. It was is a run down condition and £20k later it was brought up to a great standard. I have tried without success to have the details of the original sale of my property removed from Zoopla but it is proving impossible as Zoopla appear to not give a hoot.Zoopla's claim to be able to display out of date information as if they own it is wrong. The awful condition that was is history and because it today shows my property is a very poor light I want the History on Zoopla removed. But how?*** UPDATE ***As predicted - no DM - nothing.*** UPDATE II ***June 24 2024 - no DM

TrustpilotUseless!
Useless!! I have a 4 bed detached house, but according to zoopla it’s a terraced house? When I contacted them they can’t change it as they have reputable estate agent on the last valuation. Ok, so, how come in the past, on zoopla it gave right info (approx 6 years ago) info about my house. Ho! I know now! Because these incompetent people thought: while I was dealing buying an house for my son and I had to use my own address for correspondence! which it was a terraced house and still is. The plonk house of zoopla has mixed up my son details with mine! And they, apparently can’t check it! as these famous establishments of estate agents that provide the info are to powerful to challenge on the mistake made. So please beware of the zoopla and all the associated with them and don’t trust what you see advertised as lately they very friendly with house builders up and down the country pushing sales for new builds without checking. Ha sorry they use these top professional trusted estate agents, with incorrect info. Ie: if I am an estate agent with a shed telling zoopla that it is a house with top market valuation.Zoopla will take it as face value. And then just use an algorithm for the rest of the process. The Algorithm only tells you on what the plonk house of zoopla put in the feed. Way to go zoopla👏

TrustpilotZoopla is good where most agents…and one ref point of the market
Zoopla is good where most agents subscribe. The more agencies you recruit the better. where it comes to its own is knowing the history of a particular property is listed - However, if a property is not sold and is re-listed within a short time the history seems to disappear!!. So Zoopla needs improve to keep trail of the history of a particular property.

TrustpilotZoopla has the wrong data for my house and I can't correct it.
Zoopla used to show a reasonable estimate of the selling price of my 4 bedroom detached home. Around a year ago, Zoopla change my properties description to a 2 bedroom house with a value of around a 1/3rd of houses similar to mine. I have found no way to correct Zoopla's mistake and am resigned to having to put up with it. Thankfully I do not need to take out any loans that might use Zooplas erroneous data to credit score me.

Trustpilot"Home Check" report advert is misleading
I purchased "Home Check" report for monthly subscription. The description in the title says "unlimited access to reports". After subscription, they tell you about terms and condition that you are only allowed to get 40 reports a month. Now; 1) Majority of people don't read those small prints and lenghty terms and condition 2) Why would you advert as unlimited while it is LIMITED to 40 reports ? The advert has to match what you say in the terms and condition then! I'm not happy and not impressed with the way you advert and misleading.

Warning: Misleading Information on ZooplaI purchased a property from the 1900s that boasts three bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. Despite this, Zoopla inaccurately lists my property as having only two bedrooms. This discrepancy provides misleading and incorrect information to potential buyers or renters.I strongly refute this misrepresentation and find it unacceptable that such false details are associated with my property on Zoopla's platform. For accurate property information, I recommend using Rightmove instead of Zoopla. Rightmove has consistently provided reliable information, unlike Zoopla, whose inaccuracies have been proven in this instance. My property information is OFFICIALLY registered with the Land Registry and includes three bedrooms, contrary to the inaccuracies presented on Zoopla's website. I can assure you of the accuracy of this information. Therefore, I advise against using Zoopla and suggest utilising Rightmove for accurate and reliable property information.THE RESPONSE TO MY EXPERIENCE OUTLINED BELOW IS OBVIOUSLY A STANDARD CUT-AND-PASTE THAT THEY USE FOR UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS.SHAME ON YOU ZOOPLA

Although Zoopla has been useful while I have been seeking new accommodation, I have found it is not always as up to date as it needs to be. Hi Penny,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback and we're sorry to hear about your negative experience. All the for sale/to rent information on Zoopla is provided to us by the estate agents advertising the properties who are subject to our terms and conditions and code of conduct. When the status of their properties changes to either 'let' or ‘sold’, we request they mark the property as 'Let agreed' or ‘Sold STC’ on Zoopla if this is the case, but unfortunately, it seems sometimes this is not always done immediately resulting in our users finding listings in search results they did not expect. Listings generally take no longer than 24 hours to disappear from the website after the agent has requested its removal unless there was a technical error which we would be able to confirm. Our aim is to ensure that all information on our site is as comprehensive and accurate as possible so next time you see this it would be very helpful if you could select the ‘report listing’ option on the listing’s page (via desktop only). We will then investigate the issue further by speaking to the agent advertising the property. You can report them to us easily by following the steps outlined in this article:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360006033017If there's anything else we can do to help you with, be sure to visit our Help Centre where you may find many useful articles as well as a designated section for property seekers:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support

TrustpilotAnnoying and pointless
This used to be a useful site to keep track of house prices. Now it's nothing but spam. Every single thing you do is preceded by pop-ups, offers, upgrades and non-skippable questionnaires when all you want to do is view a single piece of information. And even when you claim a property you're asked the same things again and again when you log in.In addition, Zoopla removed the one thing for which it was useful, that is adding information to your own property to give a more accurate valuation. Now the valuation of my property at least is rubbish, no better than guesswork.Basically, all the information now on the site is available much more easily elsewhere.

Was advised by an independent estate agent to look on Zoopla as well as Rightmove, as not all homes for sale are on both.Well, I tried but the website is absolutely awful! Seems to reload every 10 seconds or so and the house I was looking at would disappear then jump around, changing to different houses! Dreadful - tried to continue scrolling but just ended up missing loads of houses and eventually gave up. Now I remember why I didn't bother with this lot and just stuck to Rightmove - at least their online platform is solid and a joy to navigate.

Below I have proved beyond doubt their valuations are nonsense. They DO NOT take into account real world sales unless they have taken place through estate agents. Private sales are NOT allowed!!! They pump out bot driven responses that they use an "AVM". Well so what! It is still nonsense on a stick. My 3 bed semi house that I sold in Apr 2023 for £350,000 is apparently a 2 bed bungalow only valued at £233,000. Cue auto response from the Zoopla bot. DO NOT TRUST THEM.\

Checked Zoopla valuation and find went down to £144,000 in November 2023 and now in January 2024 Zoopla valuation of £167,000. This company is clueless. Also, what is this "My Home" they passed me onto for my valuation? When I put in my next door neighbours their valuations was even worse having been valued at £135,000 last November they dropped to £155,000 in January 2024 and they have exactly the same semi-detached house as me.They say their valuations are outside sourced ... so probably to pass the blame. I just hope no-one is taking their valuations seriously. If you want a realistic valuation on your property get a few estate agents valuations and by-pass this lot right away.

Hi Gary,Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Here is a Help Centre article that will give you more information on where we get our data from:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360005677897If there's anything else we can do to help you with or if you wish to contact us directly with your feedback, be sure to visit our Help Centre where you may find many useful articles as well as a designated section for home owners:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support
