He knows the local market and is well connected. He worked hard to secure my buyer and oversaw the sales process, keeping me informed throughout. I’ve been meaning to write this review for such a long time (since we bought our house last August) and have kept forgetting, but was recently spurred to do one as my sister is now dealing with estate agents and I was reminded of what estate agents are usually like ( generally do not appear to care about anything except profits and often forget they’re dealing with human beings). I can safely say that Bruno and his team at Castles are exceptional and worlds apart from usual estate agents. In buying our first home, Bruno exceeded his remit to make the process smooth for both us and the vendor, who was elderly and required substantial support. He was attentive, generous with his time, incredibly helpful and even went above and beyond to assist us in dealing with solicitors, who were often frustratingly incommunicado or moving at a glacial pace. Bruno made the whole difficult process run as clearly and quickly as possible. I can’t recommend Bruno and Castles on West Green Road highly enough. Thank you so much for everything.

It was always going to be an emotional time selling my childhood home as it had been in the family for 100 years with 100 years of memories, furniture and everything else that goes with 4 generations of possessions. Bruno and George were our support team and guided us through quite a lengthy process and without hesitation to help any way they could. It was an absolute pleasure working with both of them almost to the point of them feeling like family. In this day and age, to be able to rely on people completely is very rare. I would say if you are looking to buy or sell in the Tottenham area, then I would highly recommend that you speak to Bruno and George and they will guide you from start to finish plus put your mind at rest with excellent communication and understanding to what can be a very stressful time. My wife visited Castles West Green Road one afternoon as we own a property and as it was soon to finish being refurbished we’re looking for an agent to market for rent. My wife was greeted with what I can only describe as the worst customer service. The guy was immediately dismissive, didn’t get her the time of day, aggressive in tone and told her “they only deal with Castle estate properties” (whatever that means) and essentially ushered her out the door. Would give 0.5 stars if I could, and even that would be too generous! Pathetic bottom of the barrel agency.

The 5 star reviews make me so envious that I didn't get this experience. I requested a valuation and feel because I'd said it wasn't necessarily for sale right now and more a fact finding mission, the person I spoke to couldn't be bothered and basically didn't want to come and see the property to do the valuation and just did it based on the phone call and what zoopla said, although zoopla said a higher figure they mentioned not to take that in to consideration as seemed high and then proceeded to tell me that they had a property near my own that was listed 550k and they hadn't been able to get a viewing on it in 6 months. As someone who is thinking of selling quite soon in the next 6-12 months but needed a valuation to see what we could afford it left us feeling, we would absolutely not use this agent to sell our house due to a) Them not thinking they could sell our property for more than 500k - 530k which is what we bought it for 8 years ago and having done a lot of work to the property since buying and b) didn't sound great that they couldn't get a viewing on a property in our area for over 6 months.

So where to begin. To start Castles completely overvalued our property resulting in zero interest. We all want as much as we can get for our homes but a sense of realism is required to drum up interest. 2 viewings took place in the first week to Jewish investors who are never going to buy an overvalued property that cannot be developed further. Since then we had no contact for about 8 weeks except from myself to Castles to lower the price quite dramatically to a more realistic value. No pro-active communication was received from them. 2 supposed further viewings were arranged but cancelled at very late notice. I say supposed because on both occasions no reschedule was requested. The most laughable part is they tried to claim Bruno was waiting outside our property but yet when he phoned 15 minutes late the number on our phone was an office number not a mobile (which you'd expect from someone outside of your property). The quality of the photos taken (feedback received from a variety of sources) are of a poor standard and do no justice to our home. To summarise we are very disappointed in their all round attitude, professionalism and even their local knowledge. Lazy, false promises and lies are our experience of CastlesNegativeProfessionalism
