New house.... Never buy Jones homes

New house, after being in it one year the garage flooded, terrible service, the heating still does not work. British gas say it was never flushed through when installed and Jones Homes will not do a thing. Banging pipes, the floor boards are so thin you can hear when others are in the shower. The kitchen has now things broken, and the house is only 3 years old. The after service is terrible. The bath at the top does not work. Just disgraceful. Stay clear

If I could give less than one star I would.This is a cowboy company, using cheap subbies to do a shoddy job.From daily harassment pre completion, to not offering a pre plaster walk around and then having to sign a waiver so we could complete on time it’s been a stressful time. 4 months after moving in, snagging list gets longer by the day and the site manager is never helpful, always saying things will be done but they rarely are. Buy elsewhere, these aren’t worth the hassle.Cavendish Grange, Bolsover!

Jones Homes (Lancashire)

We recently purchased a property from Jones Homes (Lancashire) on their Willows Development. This is a beautifully stunning development of just 6 properties, which makes it feel very exclusive.The sales process was seamless and stress-free with Lisa our lovely Sales Advisor. We did have a few snags which have been picked up by their Customer Services Department, who have all (including their technicians) been very professional and amazingly friendly. After reading previous reviews, we cannot understand the negative comments as we have not experienced this and can only compliment the Company.We feel that our home has been built to an excellent standard and the fittings are of good quality, we are the envy of our friends and family. In fact a couple of our friends are looking at homes on their Poulton development.Keep up the good work :0)

Do not buy from this company!

Do not buy from this company! This company dose not even deserve 1 star. The amount of faults we have had/still having is beyond ridiculous. The workmanship is extremely poor and in some cases having to return up to 5 time to rectify faults. The stress and anxciety this company has caused and are still causing our family I can never forgive them for. Thank fully the NHBC have helped us and have had to take over some of the work due to the extremely poor standard of workmanship on the part of Jones Homes. The customer service is shocking, this company only cares about saving money and using contractors that do a very very poor standard of work.

We purchased a new build

We purchased a new build , well where can i start , the bath, 1st time i used it ,pulled the plug and the water trap under the bath wasnt connected properly , gallons of water flooded the kitchen , ceiling was wrecked, stone work not plumb or flush , joints inconsistent, internal doors were made of cardboard, skirting board also made of compressed paper, uneven foors, poor joinery, garden full of rubble , NEVER BUY A NEW BUILD, until these greedy cowboys get it right .

new home

We have lived in our Jones Home for 6 months and are generally very pleased with it. Yes there have been snags which have been seen to but nothing major. We have found the sales staff and site people quite friendly and helpful and willing to listen to any concerns.The site is still being developed so there are delivery lorries and machines operating most days but we haven't found that to be any problem. We find living in Ribbleswood Chase very pleasant and generally quiet and are glad to find a nice small development within our known area which at the moment is being developed at an alarming rate with quite large and sprawling estates.

We are enjoying our retirement in our new home. The process of completion (despite Covid19) was very smooth and we moved in on the agreed day.Despite some snagging (which was no more than you would expect for a new build) we are more than happy with our new home and would strongly recommend Jones Homes. The Sales office staff and site Manager, have been very helpful, friendly and professional throughout. Definitely 5 star!

House design is brilliant but the quality and workmanship is shocking. I'm in the building trade, and can't believe the workmanship around me, silicone around the Bath looks like a child has done it, in fact all the silicone around the house is a mess. Cracked windows, odd size architraves, cracked doors, doors that don't open, doors that don't shut... Really bad quality, wish we could get rid of it... Up yours Jones homes.. Lovely house but….

Lovely house, built with care but let down by serious lack of attention to detail. We were subsequently informed that some of these disappointing issues are within industry standard which seems to be the general ‘cop out’ excuse. These standards should be reviewed. Shockingly dirty on move in day. Lack of transparency on exact location and its drawbacks. We were refused access due to various site issues until 2 days before completion so too late to back out without huge upset to others. Having said all that, the assistant site manager and the sales person involved were as helpful as they were able to be and we were very grateful for that.

21 months in property and still waiting for items on 7 day snag list to be completed. Multiple issues throughout this process. Company only cares about selling new houses, the finish of the properties is shabby and they have 0 interest in remedial works.This isn't my first new build, but Jones are bottom of the list in my view

Terrible - house in Heather View Hade edge not designed or built for the elements and natural weather conditions, 3 year old house failing in too many places to list. Terrible customer service not interested in fixing issues even when there own contracors say there are issues. Disappointing to say the least.

Total disgrace of a company

If no stars was an option, that’s what they would get!!We have sent an application for solar panel installation in our 23 year old house back in April. We have been told it will take a few weeks but after the time has passed we have been told a lot of bullocks as to why the decision has not yet been made. JH stopped answering my calls and getting a response to an email was like a miracle. This is the office in Alderley Edge, Stockport. Only after I called them out on the lies they have been feeding us, they said the application has been approved, this is over 4 months later!!!! What sort of company does that? Stringing along a customer for such a long time, not a professional behaviour you’d expect from a respectable company. As an advice for JH, work more closely with your customers, be truthful and open about their applications etc, as the experience we had caused a total loss of respect for Jones Homes.

Well where do I start with this company, I have been verbally abused by their construction director (Yorkshire) and not had an apology. Over 400 snags was found on the house which after 9 months are still outstanding. They have a complete disregards for safety which has resulting in been injured twice. Things missing from the house, extras paid for which still haven't been installed after 9 months.Joke of a company that keeps getting worse. Raise with the regional director who couldn't even apologise for his staff behaviours.

No care for their customer

We live in a Jones home about 16 years old. The company own a line of trees behind our property and do not maintain them. They are now about 40 feet high. We get constant huge branches crashing into our garden and onto our garden room roof (some are over 12 feet long). We now get very, very poor TV signal and cannot get sky reception despite spending hundreds of pounds on aerial boosters. We have sent over 20 letters in the past 7 months (recorded signature on delivvery) and they are ignored with no courtesy of reply. We are at our wits end. Moral of this story, a greedy builder with no interest in customer's quality of life. Beware buying from this company.
