Absolutely disgusted at the way this…

Absolutely disgusted at the way this company treated my son and his fiance. They had put a holding deposit on a flat and through no fault of theirs the landlady withdrew the flat and Fox and Sons refused to give them back their holding deposit. They could not afford to lose that money. This is warning to anyone who is thinking of using Fox and Sons

Karl and the team at fox and sons worked absolute wonders to help a relative of ours with the sale of property and could not be faulted in any single way going! Would definitely recommend to everyone known to us for the sheer hard work, …

Gosport Fox & Son - bad experience

Gosport. Pushy agents who will get a sale at any price including coming to your property without notice, walking through the grounds to the back door and scaring you to get you to accept a lower offer. I wish we hadn't been tricked into going with them as they offered success via a " boxing day" campaign and their "extensive" data based. Both yield nothing but low offers.

Do not use this Eastbourne Estate Agent

We feel our property was overpriced, which led to reduction after reduction in sale price. Did not respond to phone calls, or said things would be done that weren`t. To us the agents came across as arrogant, starting from not explaining the length of initial contract, right through to poor viewings both in numbers and quality of details given to possible buyers. Things were delayed because information was not passed through, and quite often was inaccurate. Very poor value for money. Instructed around the end of July 2022, completed 30th March 2023, pushed into a very short time between exchange and completion because of misinformation, and into a large reduction on our sale price.

Dear Mr and Mrs Lindfield, Firstly I am sorry you weren't happy with the overall service and some of these points will be taken as constructive feedback for my team. while you mention viewings numbers we did achieve a sale.i feel some comments here are not totally fair, the reduction and the time it took was due to issues with the chain not with fox and sons, a buyer in the chain asked for a £20k reduction as his agent below lost their buyer and re sold the property for £30k less. which then filtered through the rest of the chain, a price to which you agreed. we also dropped our fee to help in any way we could without hesitation.either way the points around service i will look into and try to improve the team.all the best for the future,Stephen RodgersSenior Branch Manager

Our experience with Fox & Sons

Our experience with Fox & Sons, Scarlet E Hepburn, was outstanding. From start to finish, the service was professional and attentive. The staff member who assisted us was exceptionally kind and helpful. She negotiated with the landlord on our behalf and made sure all the facilities we requested were arranged promptly and without issue. Her guidance made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service and glad we chose Fox & Sons. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy estate agency.

No show viewing

Viewing booked and confirmed by George, but no one turned up. I had to call repeatedly to get an answer, only to be told a manager had “tried to contact me to cancel”, which is untrue as I had no missed calls or messages. I was promised a call to rearrange the viewing for the following week and never heard anything. Called again and was assured someone would call me shortly. Two weeks later, nothing. I’ve since submitted a formal complaint and haven’t even received an acknowledgement. Wasted my time attending a viewing that was never going ahead, followed by more time chasing. Poor organisation and even worse communication.

The brighton branch

The brighton branch, has taken 2 years to get my dad's flat sold after he died. Recommended to sale the flat at auction by Ray Murphy, that fell through after months of trying to get it sold, then went down the normal route. This all starts out fine ,in 2022,then had two more offer ,these were not satisfactory, finally had an offer in August 2024 which has taken 5 months of us chasing to get over the line. Alfie is the person not to take at his word as this was only what he thought we wanted to hear. Never use fox&sons. Sonia collins

Foxes : The fence looks great....

Fox & Sons Property Management6 Poole HillBournemouth Dear Andrew, I’ve had to find an alternative way to contact you, as my previous communication channel was closed. This is not conducive to properly raising ongoing concerns about the day-to-day condition and management of the block. During a recent visit, I observed a growing number of empty flats. The building is beginning to resemble a vacant commercial property, which raises obvious concerns about security and potential misuse. A simple, low-cost measure, such as installing net curtains in empty units, could help deter unwanted attention and reduce the appearance of vacancy. More concerning is the apparent ease with which individuals are gaining access through the main security door. There are signs that the locking mechanisms may be being bypassed or interfered with. Residents should be formally alerted to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour immediately. There are also indications that individuals may be attempting to assess occupancy of flats by inappropriate means. This raises serious concerns regarding privacy, security, and potential criminal activity, including unauthorised access to networks or utilities. This must be treated as a matter of urgency. In addition, I believe it is now appropriate to carry out a full audit of the garage allocations and associated title deeds. It appears some individuals may be in possession of multiple garages, despite previous clarification that these are not demised under lease or freehold terms. This situation should be reviewed and regularised to ensure fair access for all qualifying residents. Overall, while there are some positive aspects, the issues outlined above require immediate attention and a more proactive management approach. I look forward to your response and to seeing appropriate action taken. Regards,5CC

I recently got a place with the help of Victoria and her team at fox & sons. I must say I was so impressed with her performance and attitude to work in terms of her swift responses and patient cos I know I rang her so many times which can be annoying to some people, but she never complained, she entertained every of my calls, listened to my worries and put me through all the process that might have been challenging to me. She literally makes all the process easy and fast for me. I feel so happy and confident that I can work with fox & sons in future when I have a property project. A very big thank you to Victoria and her lovely team at fox & sons Portsmouth.

Worst estate agent in Worthing

Worse estate agent ever in Worthing, do not use!! They came to my disabled mother's house and promised us they had buyers. They did not a single viewing and reduced the price and still did not a single viewing. We went into office and were treated badly by the manager who claimed they’ve been doing social media for the house (which isn’t true) and that I don’t know how to use social media, and I must be confused. They have taken our advert down and have refused to allow us to sell with an agent who is able to actually sell the house!! If you sign a contract with them, their small print states that you are stuck in that contract for 20 weeks even if they don’t find anyone to view your house. Please avoid at all costs!

Harassment!

Stupidly agreed to a free valuation with no pressure however after deciding we wouldn’t be selling for a while and telling them that, I’ve had call after call from both the Crawley office and another local office. I emailed them to ask that my details be removed from their systems which was acknowledged however the calls continued. I answered one of the calls and again explained I’m not moving and to remove me from their list. They apologised and said they would update their records…..still calls! I got a call yesterday again asking if I wanted an updated valuation. I declined. Yet I’ve been called again today. I will be blocking them if I get called again as it’s bordering harassment now. It’s actually off putting and now, even if I did decide to put my house on the market, it wouldn’t be with fox and sons.

disinterested and inexperienced

Initial contact with the company seemed ok receiving emails and texts for the upcoming valuation. However the RE agent seemed inexperienced totally disinterested, didn't seem to have much idea about valuing a property other than going on line to look at other properties in the area - something I'd already done. Worst of all she never followed through with providing the valuation information as part of the follow up. I would definitely not use Fox & sons to sell my property given this experience.

Fox and sons are shocking

Fox and sons are shocking. You do get bamboozled into a long contract, and i agree they are very rude and the pictures are rubbish. I took my house of the market with them while still in contract. It was sour grapes beacause we had s viewing and once i removed our house got rudely told there is no way the lady would have brought ur house. Crewkerne branch very rude. Was even told would i pay 45,000 pounds more for a 3 bed semi than ours which is a 4 bed detached with a garage. Absolutly shocking wouldnt recommend them at all. They just want u to keep lowering the price.

Never touch these people with a barge…

Never touch these people with a barge pole! I’ve never in my life had such a bad experience with an estate agent and that’s saying something! Major pressure tactics to get you to spend more, refusal to return deposit, which thankfully they are so dodgy that tgey do not have a bank account and you need to pay by card! Always remember you can do a charge bsck bua your bank and you get your money back! The excuses I heard to hold onto your money! I think this may be hiw these guys get paid! Anyway rubbish service, rubbish people and steer well clear of these cowboys! Sequence homes are part of this group so steer clear of them as well.

Disappointed

I have put one star as there’s no option for no stars.. appalling service, put two properties on the market with them, Goring office and Worthing, both offices are incompetent, no one ever calls back, wish I hadn’t put my property on the market with them, if we had no interest for a week or so, they would say drop the price, after they’d valued the property at that price. Management are useless, told lies to get themselves out of the s**t, would NOT recommend whatsoever. Stay clear of there shoddy workmanship!

Dealings with his company didn’t even…

Dealings with his company didn’t even get past first contact. I saw a house I very much wanted to view and made several phone calls to their Yeovil branch over a 2 day period to arrange it. Not once was the phone answered in person and despite leaving VM messages, I was never called back. I was even considering knocking on the door of the property and asking the owners to contact Fox & Sons themselves to arrange a viewing! However, I have since found a property so no need, but if and when I ever come to sell it, it certainly won’t be through Fox & Sons. They don’t appear to work for either sellers OR buyers.

Unprofessional Demeanor

The Crawley team, particularly Branch Manager Kane Caulfield, displayed unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful behavior. They wasted our time by not responding promptly to our inquiries, forcing us to follow up continuously for weeks, both regarding our initial offer and when the property came back on the market. When we decided not to proceed with the offer, Kane Caulfield began speaking to us in a rude and unprofessional manner. We kindly request that take appropriate action regarding the Branch Manager's behavior.

Extremely poor contact

Impossible to get a hold of them by phone or email. Couldn't get them to contact the potential landlord to sign the tenancy agreement until 7 days after the agreed move in date at which point tried to increase the rent from £1000pcm to £1300pcm. I didn't accept it and tried contacting them for over 2 months to return my deposit and they only started replying to my emails after I threatened legal action if they didn't return my deposit. Still waited until the day before I said I would take action before returning my money. I wouldn't ever look at a house managed by this company ever again and I should have called everything off once I saw how difficult it was to get replies even before signing anything
