I had a seemingly not so easy property to sell and matters made considerably worse by the Covid Pandemic. Other agencies hadn't managed to get the sale pre pandemic so I went to Winkworth.From the outset I felt I was in good hands. Super professional and always available to discuss ideas or ease any anxiety through a hugely difficult time. Gurdeep, Andrew & Raf recognised the quality of the property and know their client base so well that they managed to generate a considerable amount of interest and ultimately ended up selling the property for over the asking price. Important to note that this always felt like a team working together to find the best option for me and I have no doubt that it would have been the same for the other side.I'm not based in the UK but knowing I had the this team managing the whole process was amazing. I am hugely grateful to the Winkworth Team and will certainly be working with them again.

Avoid Winkworth Bow

Winkworth Bow - avoid at all costs. Please look at the Google reviews before you work with this branch. Why the management of Winkworth don't see an issue with this is beyond me. We are currently in the process of raising with the Property Ombudsman and would avoid at all costs.

Never ever rent a property from this agency. The estate agent is there for you only until you sign the contract and pay the money. The agent hid from us so many problematic issues in the property and our issues started from the day we moved in. And of course, the agent doesn't want to hear from you, as they have management company. We had an emergency a week ago and called an engineer as recommended by the agency. Same problem has happened today, out of the working hours of the agency and we called the same engineer, who would have come immediately if the agency had paid him for the job done a week ago... We had to wait for pretty some time for the agency to open and another 5 hours to take care of our problem. The absence of heating and hot water as per the property manager is NOT an emergency, so we stayed in cold for nearly 15 hours. Such a disgrace for Winkworth.

Stay away at all cost

I used Winkworth to find a tenant for my property and manage it. It has been a horrendous experience and I would recommend choosing pretty much any other agency. I needed to do some work for an electricity certificate and they brought a supplier which quoted me 3 times what it should cost so had to find a supplier myself. Then, due to a "human error" they sent their supplier in without telling me and did the work. My supplier came in and called me that they already did the work and I had to pay him for his time (which to be fair they did reimburse me). However, they then charged me the full amount of their supplier who did unapproved work in my property. Needless to say I terminated the contract with them immediately. They also extremely rude and unresponsive, would highly recommend to stay away.

Recent tenancy renewal with Winkworth.An utter shambles. Multiple contracts issued, all incorrect. Incapable of working out the financials correctly. Defensive when challenged with reasonable questions.We have luckily a great landlord that helped us sort it out. It’s criminal the amount of money Winkworth charge and still so many problems. I left the property rented after 6 months. When I moved in, I changed the light bulbs of the living room and kitchen area because the condition was bad. When I left, all light bulbs were working fine with ups and downs that semeed to be driven by cabling issues in the property and building rather than the bulbs themselves. When I left property all bulbs were still in condition to be used by the new tenants. However, I was discounted £145 from my deposit, when, firstly, all bulbs were in good condition, and secondly, I did not receive the property with all bulbs working. Though I disputed this with the Parsons Green property manager, she completely ignored the validity of my claim as she had already hired contractors (without consulting the claim with me) and unreasonably discounted £145 from my deposit. This just shows how unprofessional they are and how unreasonable they can be with the cost of the goods and service. I would not recommend dealing with them, the service of their property manager was very poor.NegativeProfessionalism
