I've been with Chestertons for 15 years. They manage two properties for me. Overall they've been consistently reliable, professional and supportive. I have had many property managers over the years, but my current one, Michell Vasquez, has been particularly attentive, helpful and always executes actions on time. Our experience was honestly second to none! I can’t thank the team enough for handling what was quite a complicated move in such a short space of time. Both our agents (Ben for selling and Archie for buying) were fantastic! There was a real anxiety around buying in this market and in the midst of a pandemic but they, and the team, went over and above. They gave sound and solid advice, always made us feel comfortable in asking questions and of course, showed us the winning property. We had been searching for quite a while so having a team then action and meet us in our enthusiasm for our new home was great. I know people have a few stereotypes for estate agents but honestly, the chaps at Chestertons were brilliant. We would recommend them over and over to our friends and family. Could not have asked for better agents and am so grateful to them for getting them into our dream home!Dare I say it so soon after moving in, but I look forward to working with them again in the future!

I appointed Chestertons on a joint agency term for the marketing of my property. Despite all the promises and statements claiming to be the best local agent 'by a country mile', they simply failed to deliver across the board.Compared with the other agent, Chestertons provided poor communication and I had to chase them for any updates. They failed to adhere to proper access procedure when conducting viewings. Upon termination of their contract their sales director acted in an extremely unprofessional manner, leaving yet another sour taste to the whole experience. In contrast, the other agent conducted themselves professionally and produced three offers of which one progressed to conveyancing.So based on my experience dealing with them, I cannot find a single reason why I would recommend them in any way.

I've amended my original 5 stars which I left at the stage at which the rental had been verbally agreed. My old review (which I still stand by up to a point) said: "Lily at Chestertons helped us sort out our dream rental. She got all the paperwork sorted in a couple of days and was on hand to answer all our questions."However, as soon as we got to contract stage, customer service took a nosedive. The contract was amended 4 times and each time we had to sign a new version of about 20 pages, but when I asked for a countersigned contract a few days before our move-in date I was told this wasn't standard practice.Then, when I arranged for a friend to collect our keys from the Chestertons office as we were overseas at the time, we were told that no one was sure where the keys were. This was 4 days after our tenancy had officially started. We were told to try the caretaker at a neighbouring apartment but no one was entirely sure. It took my calling the lettings manager of Chestertons to ask him to confirm where the keys were, a fair amount of time spent calling around, and finally requesting that my friend go and collect the keys from the neighbour's caretaker, before we could get hold of the keys to our new rental.So would I still recommend Chestertons? Only up until the point at which the rental is agreed, don't expect much after that.

We are moving from the USA to the UK and enlisted Chesterton’s help to find a flat to let. We dealt with several branches & agents, but by far the most helpful was Shannon Kearns. She showed us more properties than all the other agents combined! More importantly, she took the time to educate us about the area throughout the day. We could tell she really has her customers’ best interests at heart and was assertive without ever being pushy. We would work together with her in the future without hesitation.

I have been consistently misled by the local office that looks after Barnes and Mortlake over several years. Originally it was attributed to a turnover in staff and the problem was so big we naturally gave the time to resolve. However, our patience was misplaced. 10s of visits, emails, and meetings, and two years later, still nothing has been done. They have done a professional job of obfuscation and created the illusion of service. However, quotes have been lost, very few follow-up calls, and communication by omission and many, many quotes have been arranged, keeping us busy and under the impression, something was happening, but nothing.

This agency is the worst, do not trust them!!! We dealt with a woman called Abigail Gould in the South Quays branch. Her communication with us was poor, she was unprofessional & did not explain anything clearly unless we asked questions. We arranged a time with her to view the property, and when she turned up, she herself said “I’ve never been to this property, I don’t actually know what it’s like.” That was the first red flag, but we proceeded to view the property, as we was taking a look around, she mentioned there was another offer for the property but it wasn’t confirmed and she’d let us know later that evening. We asked her about the holding deposit, and there was miscommunication with how much it was etc.. nothing was explained clearly. When she did send us the link to pay the holding deposit. We felt rushed and the whole thing seemed dodgy. We did not pay the deposit straight away, so she decided to offer us a zero deposit scheme as apparently the landlord allowed this, however after telling us this she said there was another offer from someone else who “earned more” which we thought was quite rude. But funnily enough, the guy didn’t come through according to her. She then said the property was ours, but to be quick as there was someone else viewing the flat later on. I turned down her offer, and said we’d found another place, to which she blocked me on WhatsApp. These people are just out to take your money, they rush you and make out they have so many viewings so you give them the money. CHESTERTONS IS A DODGY AGENCY DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!
