I let my property out with SH for about one year. The initial process as a first time landlord was good, and SH were supportive throughout. However, when I regained access to the property one year later, the tenants had left piles of stinking rubbish in the living room, which included soiled clothes, and rotten food. The back garden was left in a mess, and beds still had smelly bed clothes on them. There were also numerous missing and broken items, and damage to fixtures and walls. SH were absolutely no help at all in bringing the property back to a reasonable condition, they were perfectly happy for me to move back into the house in a unsanitary condition - shame on SH. In the end I had to clean up the house and garden myself - 23 bin bags full of rubbish, not including the refuse bins which were all filled with miscellaneous rubbish, that also needed to be emptied. I also made all the arrangements for items to replaced and/or fixed. I would urge you not to use SH to manage your property.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Hello, my experience with Slater Hogg & Howison Sales and Letting Agents in Hamilton was outstanding throughout when they assisted me in renting a property in the Uddingston area. Everything was explained to me clearly and in detail and the staff were all extremely knowledgeable and professional. Assistance was given in all areas in relation to my new rental property including help to acquire home insurance at a great price and assistance with setting up my utilities and council tax payments. This company made what could have been a complicated and difficult process for me totally straight forward and hassle free. I am very grateful to the all the staff who assisted me and really appreciated the gift box that was left for me at my lovely new property. I used Slater Hogg Hamilton to sell my property and my experience from start to finish was first class. The valuer David was very professional and efficient and explained the process to me and outlined the fees and charges so I understood what would be involved. He was on time for the appointment and also offered that Slater Hogg could do any buyer viewings which was extremely helpful to me on this occasion. David organised that on the visit. Marianne from the Slater Hogg office in Hamilton was excellent and the service provided was very professional and very helpful. She answered all my question with ease and managed to negotiate on my behalf the offer price to guarantee me a sale price I was extremely happy with. The sale was concluded one day following the viewing and one week from going on the market. I couldn't have asked for more!! She helped out with correspondence between the buyer and myself during the difficulties of the pandemic and simplified the process that would have taken days via the legal process.
