I honestly couldn’t recommend Muvin highly enough. From day one they tailored the entire sale and purchase strategy around us. It didn’t feel generic, not templated, but something that genuinely reflected our situation, our timings, and the challenges we faced along the way. They’ve been incredibly professional throughout, and I can say without hesitation that they’re the reason our purchase stayed alive during some very tricky moments. They didn’t just “manage” the process, they actively drove and cared! A special mention has to go to Alison, their progression officer. I’ve spoken to her regularly for the last six months (to the point where it felt like I was talking to a friend), and she has been nothing short of outstanding. Calm, knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely invested in getting us over the line. I couldn’t speak highly enough of her! Muvin went well beyond all expectations on every aspect of our sale and purchase, and they more than justified their (very reasonable) fee. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Mike. His extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour towards my solicitor, broker, and estate agents made buying a property incredibly stressful. He pushed for completion at inconvenient times and showed zero empathy. His demeanour was disgusting, with rude texts and incessant calls during work hours. To top it off, he disappeared for months, making it impossible to reach him, and only resurfaced when it suited him. To top it off, at key collection, leaving the keys to my new property left on the worktop of the unlocked property. Avoid at all costs.

We chose Mike and EweMove to sell our house after inviting a number of agencies for discussion. We liked how Mike presented the business and his style and manner of service. We found a potential buyer fairly shortly after instructing Mike which went through without a hitch albeit we did get caught in a bit of a chain, but all ended well. Bought a home in summer 2024, Mike was rude throughout the whole process. Kept trying to pressure us to complete earlier than we could. Reson for this was to save capital gains tax for the people selling the house to the owners of the home that we were purchasing from. The whole thing was absurd, why on earth am I going to push for an earlier completion that does not suit our circumstances to save a complete stranger some tax money. He was disgusting in his whole demeanor dealing with us. Used language like 'pissed' on the phone with me instead of annoyed. Bit my tongue throughout the whole process as we wanted the home. Do not use the Halfiax branch, from our own personal experience the reception staff was on point. Have to use their solicitors but Mike needs to brush up on his manners and take some classes in how to conduct himself when speaking to clients. Common as anything.

My sale and purchase was a long and complex process, with complications like the sale being put on hold because of a burst pipe and water damage, my solicitor not responding (a combination of holiday and sickness left that answerphone and email unmonitored) and a down-chain solicitor basically giving incorrect information. Mike from EweMove Halifax certainly earned his money, being hands on and helping resolve issues throughout the process. He showed the house to prospective purchasers, meaning I could just take my dog out at the time.When there were problems with solicitors he intervened and phoned the CEO of the company, getting my case seen quickly. He also communicated with my purchasers to keep track of what was happening and make sure everyone was informed. He also dealt promptly with minor issues like his "for sale" sign blowing over in a storm. EweMove also advertise all properties on the major property sites and their own website, so you really do get the best of a local estate agent and an online agent. Another major point is that EweMove will keep selling your house for as long as it takes, and only take payment after the sale. Some agents charge you after a certain time if you haven't sold, which doesn't incentivise them to work on your behalf. I don't know if all EweMove franchises are as good as the Halifax one, but Mike's work was excellent.

At first you would think, why go with Ewemove? surely it would be better to sell your house through established estate agents, but you would be wrong. The selling fees with Ewemove were explained and fixed, the valuation we got from Mike at Ewemove Halifax was spot on and actually was more than we expected and thought surely our house isn't worth this much, but Mike was accurate and we got the full asking price. Mike constantly kept us informed as to what was happening with the viewings and the eventual sale, even to the point when we had two offers of the full asking price and Mike advised us the best one to accept, which turned out to be spot on as the sale went through with lightening speed. Plus being presented with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine as a thank you for using them on completion day was a pleasant surprise, which I doubt you would get from the high street estate agents. Thank you Mike for making our sale go so smooth. Would 100% use Ewemove Halifax again.
