We completed with this estate agent in February, nearly two and half years we have been trying to sell our house and Janis at the Hagley branch has been brilliant, we lost the first property we were buying with them but managed to secure another and we have to say that she has worked so hard for us, she even chased the company for the lease, thank you Janis and the team I can’t praise you enough. I would use the Hagley branch again, the amount of hard work that went into our sale/purchase and they never faltered.

I have nothing but praise for Walton & Hipkiss. From the very beginning they were professional, efficient and worked hard to sell my house! Nothing was too much trouble. Janis was always there with updates and spent time talking me through the process.She even listened when I was moaning about all the things I had to do! The journey was emotional and I couldn’t have been in safer hands to guide me. You can really feel that this is a family business and not one of the corporate chains out there. They really care and offer the best guidance. I’m now happy and settled in my wonderful dream home, yet I’m still popping in to see Janis for a cup of tea and a chat about my new home. (I’m a bit rubbish with redirecting my parcels and Janis has again stepped in to help me with this). I cannot, nor will I ever be able to thank Janis and the team at Walton & Hipkiss enough. The sale of my dad’s property after his passing has been very stressful and emotional. Without the hard work and dedication of the team at Walton & Hipkiss, in particular Janis I don't know how I would have got through it all. Janis was superb. Janis and her team at Walton & Hipkiss proved invaluable in the sale of my aunt's house. They were professional, courteous and completely understanding of my aunt's situation. My aunt had lived in her house for 57 years and so, understandably, it was a big wrench for her to leave. I cannot recommend Walton & Hipkiss highly enough. The team in Hagley were fantastic from valuation through to completion. The valuation was exactly the same as the chartered surveyor which was a good start. However the support given by Janis and the team at Hagley was remarkable. We were selling my Aunts family home. As we didn't live in the property, WH liaised with all the trades and services people - house clearance, electricians, surveyors etc. Plus they kept an eye on the house. Going in regularly, putting on the heating and generally it was like having a member of the family supporting us through a very difficult time. Additionally, Janis is remarkably good at keeping solicitors on track! Thank you to Alice, Janis and the team at Hagley. You were a godsend!

False promises, complete disregard to health and safety. Put me and my family through hell for 6 months. No communication, no help, no support. Just take your money. Rented us a property with sockets hanging off the wall, incorrect electrical tests. Hazards and mess all around the house and garden. Cost hundreds to put right out of our own pockets to move in and plenty off stress and annoyance during our tenancy. No help during tenancy. Multiple better estate agents around.

Absolutely the worst letting agency i have ever rented from, and I have rented consistently and frequently. They only care about the comfort of their landlords and the profits. They seem all nice and wholesome at first and they portray themselves to be a “family run business” until you actually need them. Have advised all my friends and family to avoid them at all costs.

After renting through Walton and Hipkiss for iver 4 years, I can say that issues raised were not dealt with even after being highlighted on the annual property inspection and agreed with by the viewing agent. Always sided with the landlord. "if it didn't work when you moved in the landlord doesn't have to fix it" was repeatedly used.... Unfortunately when you move in you don't know that various sockets dont work, non of the aerial points work, alarm system doesn't work etc etc. No assistance at all from them in finding a new property to rent after being given notice by the landlord because he wanted to sell it. I even offered to purchase it from the landlord saving him money in advertising it etc but was told no, only for it to go on sale weeks later for a price that I would have paid.... But they would not have got their commission that way. I received more help from their sales team, that I do rate 5 stars, but unfortunately their letting agents fall short.

What can I say from the first phone call I made with Walton and Hipkiss... They were so professional. I was relocated from York to Brierley Hill due to my job. We rented a property for 18months through Walton & Hipkiss Hagley branch, everyone knows when you rent a property it is all smiles from the estate agents until you are ready to leave the property and then the battle begins with them trying to take as much money as possible from you. As we began the process of ending our contract there was a few mishaps and bad communication with the estate agents and hostile moods from the staff, until a girl called Aimee Taylor contacted us on the behalf of the lettings team from her first email to the end of the contract she has been fantastic, she has fully restored our faith in the company and has been very reasonable, polite and helpful. Out of all the estate agent companies we have dealt with, thanks to Aimee, this one has been the most pleasant and smooth running! There were no problems at all from the beginning or during the rental period. Overall I would recommend Walton & Hipkiss over other estate agent companies in the stourbridge area.

Disappointed communication with this estate agents, lettings dept, when a property comes up great location for me for lots of reasons but that don’t matter not taken into account that question is never asked! as its not important anyway as you advertised a house to let a month before tenants vacate I never received a call back after numerous calls from me for an update as I couldn’t believe how long a potential tenant had to wait to book a viewing which you could not view Until it was empty & whilst I Understand that part, but been told same story that “we will give you a call back” everytime I rang for a update and given a time it will be empty to book a viewing i Still never got a call back no surprise there, after only given a name and contact number and being one of the first to enquire about the property as soon as it was listed to let! i thought I’d be in with a chance? I trusted id get a a call back-after waiting patiently 6weeks!! to view it Still waiting only to discover the property is now let agreed! by doing the online search Obviously had other intentions regards to letting property unfair! don’t waste people’s time and be honest or change the way you deal with it ..on that note why advertise a property a month in advance and then get people like me having to call you back because I couldn’t understand why you never called back when you told me clearly that I will get a call ASAP!
