I am a tenant that had complained since April , ( now it’s Christmas ), about a room that’s too cold even though heating full on . In November they fitted supressors to the window but nothing changed . Complained by mail 3 times . Workers finally came 2 weeks ago and said it’s the walls facing outside without insulation. I wrote to them after they came ( around 8 days later ) . They said they have not had workers come even though they did , and that if I wish they will allow me out of my contract ! Absolute joke . They do this so I will have a cold Christmas . The room is not inhabitable as the inside walls measured by there workman showed 12 degree , mold has got everywhere including bed linen . They should have offered me money off until room walls fixed so that room is usuable and discount as my heating has gone through the roof . I have been left no option so have instructed a solicitor to deal with it on my behalf

Great experience with Dexters. Had a great first impression with the listings they had on the website. Got the flat sorted in just 4 days from the viewing date. Konrad has especially been helpful to me and my partner. Met him at the viewing. Easy to talk to and incredibly efficient. Like in most large companies, there are pockets of excellence and areas where improvements can be made. Overall, I enjoyed good service but I expected a bit more for the money I was paying, particularly in the communication aspects regarding completion of maintenance jobs. The highlights over the 15 years have been the check-in and check-out reports and the responsiveness of rentals director Sonia De Abreu. The main area for improvement? The three failed attempts to sell the property.

GoogleStandard estate agents - very helpful when trying to help you find a place, but as soon as you move in and the commission is paid it’s a nightmare getting responses from them for building management queries etc. They’re only bothered about getting the contracts signed. Not unique to Dexters, but a pain nonetheless

As a tenant, don't go anywhere near this agency. We rented a property with viewings being managed by Dexters and never want to use them again. When we first got accepted for the flat they tried to push us into a 24month contract and would not negotiate at all via email or phone until we got a male (we're all young females) to reiterate our request for a standard 12 Month contract. Now, having to move out of the property, the viewings are being done by Dexters Hackney again and they've been abhorrent. They've failed to notify us of cancelled appointments and left us waiting with no word, they've lied to potential tenants about what is included in the contract (e.g. furniture that isn't the landlords & the type of furniture that would be provided) and even tried to tell the landlord how we've not let them do their job of conducting viewings (despite never turning down an appointment) because we've answered the potential tenants questions honestly and spoke up when the agents lied (as you would hope a decent human being to do). Some of the agents do actually want to do their job and have asked us questions to properly inform the viewers, however the majority just want to secure a sale and will lie to get there.

Have had an absolutely horrible experience with Nicole! I booked a viewing for a house in Mornington Crescent, for 1pm on Wednesday the 25th of November which she didn’t arrive to. When I called to ask where she was, she took 15 minutes to tell me she won’t be coming while I waited outside the property. I expressed my disappointment as my friend and I were really keen on the house and we don’t want to lose it and we e rescheduled the viewing for 1pm on Friday the 27th of November. When she was 5 minutes late for this viewing, I called and was told she’d be on her way and will call me back to tell me how long while I waited outside the property again. She called back to say an offer had been accepted the day before and then told me she had called my friend to cancel, which is a lie. She told me this three times even when I told her she definitely didn’t, and there is no proof of the call. Will avoid Dexters in the area after waiting outside a viewing twice for an estate agent who doesn’t show up, doesn’t know what’s happening, and liesUPDATE: Nicole’s manager reached out to get more understanding of what happened. He sent me brochures for properties that are not what I’m looking for and asked me to remove the review, but at least they’re taking on feedback.

We are always happy with the property management service provided by Dexters as they are a professional and efficient team. And today we are extremely grateful to Donalina Gargrupe, their Property Manager. Our tenant has reported to them a boiler breakdown and a leak and Donalina has promptly responded to the complaint. She took the initiatives to contact different parties with a view to fixing the problem at the earliest, before reporting the case to us. And she is still following up the progress for us. She really gives us, and the tenant, a helping hand, especially in this cold weather. As the landord, we want to say: Donalina, your professionalism has given us a full peace of mind! I have had a Full Service Agreement with Dexters for 3 years. Have always found that the team led by Natasha have been timely and informative in their responses, issued statements on time, have handled any issues arising with the Tenants smoothly, have communicated any necessary maintenance issues clearly and then arranged for their action quickly and at a fair cost. No problem in recommending them to prospective Landlords.
