We recently sold our home through Seymours and overall had a very good experience, even in what has been a tougher market. The team worked hard from the outset and generated a strong level of viewings, which helped us secure a buyer sooner than expected. Although the sale itself took longer than hoped due to delays further down the chain, Seymours remained proactive throughout. In particular, Simon Gresswell has been excellent, consistently chasing, pushing, and keeping us updated to move things forward wherever possible. His communication and persistence have been genuinely appreciated. Despite the challenges outside of their control, Seymours have been professional, supportive, and committed to getting the sale over the line.

They found us our dream home! A huge thank you to the whole team, especially Louie, who has the patience of a saint 😅. For the best part of a year, he checked in with us every week, sent through countless properties, kept us updated, and never once made us feel pressured. There were definitely times when we thought we'd never find the right place, but he never gave up on us. Luke, Clive and Jules were brilliant as well and just great to deal with throughout. And a special mention to Maddie, who showed us around so many houses over the months and always made us feel welcome, including the one we ended up buying! Even the purchase process was smooth from start to finish, including with the conveyancers they recommended. Honestly, we couldn't be happier.

However, Seymours were extremely professional and helpful throughout the process from the early stages of placing an offer to completion. Without them, we wouldn't have secured our dream home in one of Guildford's most sought-after areas or reached completion so quickly and smoothly. We can't thank them enough! Looking back, it has been a long and exhausting journey. We first began our house search in 2024 with another estate agents and moved to Seymour's at the beginning of 2026. Initially, we were a little concerned that a larger estate agency might feel too corporate or be focused on pushing for a quick sale. In reality, that’s not been the case at all. Charles is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable and dependable person we've had the pleasure of working with. From our very first conversation through to completion, he kept in close contact, keeping us updated every step of the way and proactively suggesting properties that genuinely matched our requirements. He was always easy to reach, and his advice was consistently honest, thoughtful, and never pushy. We always felt he had our best interests at heart. Once our offers were accepted, Jules became our main point of contact throughout the conveyancing process, and we were blown away by her dedication and work ethic. She worked tirelessly to coordinate between all the parties involved and to resolve the many issues that inevitably arose along the way. Time and again she responded to emails late into the evening and over weekends, simply to ensure that nothing was left unresolved. Her commitment, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly exceptional. We feel incredibly fortunate that Charles and Jules were with us throughout this journey. The care, integrity, and professionalism they showed at every stage gave us complete confidence that we were in the best possible hands. We would recommend Seymour's without hesitation, and Charles and Jules in particular are an absolute credit to the company.

This is a mixed but hopefully fair review. We went with Seymours because they had sold the most properties in our postcode, had a competitive fee, and had done their research thoroughly. Andy was very professional, by far the most positive out of all the different estate agents who valued our property, and I felt provided a more personal touch than the other companies as well. We had a couple of issues with communication, notably receiving little to no notice of viewings and a survey booking. We struggled to speak to the same person at the office so were often given mixed messages. We also weren’t assured when dropping off or picking up keys that no questions were asked (e.g. which house the key was for). When we picked up our key we weren’t asked for any information and we could have been anyone. Finally, there was slight damage during one of our house viewings and we were very unimpressed that, not only were we not notified, but Seymours took no accountability for the damage and became unresponsive for a period.

Andy from the sales team showed us around our now home and subsequently negotiated our purchase, he was very efficient, friendly and had great communication with all parties.
