Horrible experience for tenants

Horrible experience for prospective tenants.We had an accepted offer on a property for rental and Dexter's took our deposit. Later, we were informed that the landlord had accepted a new offer, days after our offer was already accepted. If we wanted to pull out, it would have cost us thousands, but the landlord could pull out for free. On top of that, we wasted so much time filling in the paperwork and canceling other viewings just to have the rug pulled under us. Would not recommend to any tenants out there.

Well despite my less than glowing review previously and being advised by Asam in Customer Relations that an Area Director would call to deal with my complaint, no one has contacted me to discuss or to take our complaint seriously - this lot are a total shower. Our property is a high net worth property and well in to seven figures. I wouldn’t trust this lot to sell a dolls house for me

Unprofessional and unhelpful

This company needs to be regulated more closely: 1) leaving properties up on searches (Rightmove and Zoopla) that have already been leased; 2) insisting that the market is only accepting 2-year leases; 3) organising home viewings with rude and unwilling employees; 4) sending out emails not related to our search and calling randomly at all hours. Nobody in any of these offices (Teddington, Surbiton, Twickenham etc) were helpful or ambassadors for their brand. Very unimpressive and lots of change required.

Worst Estate Agents in London

Worst Estate Agents in LondonI have been in London for 5 years and Dexters are by far the worst estate agents I have used. They have kept all my deposit money and charged me for a £400 professional cleaning service after I already paid for one before leaving my flat. The flat was apparently professionally cleaned before I moved in, however there was dust in the cupboards and on the floors and marks on many of the walls. It's been over a month and they are still holding my deposit even after I have spoken with the landlord who has said that they are happy with the condition of the flat, and that it's Dexters who are trying to take money off me.

What a good and bad experience with Dexters Surbiton?!

I have rented a house through Dexters Surbiton Estate Agents and have some issues with them for over 2 months. So i decided to leave a 1 star review here and i got reply from them within a day. Their branch manager Tom Lelyveld jump in and handle my case. I'm appreciated his efficiency such as one main issue been struggling over 2 months and not even have a little progress but Tom just takes 3 days to solved.Of course I'm not satisfy with the renting process but I must give 5 stars to Tom Lelyveld.

Was meant to have a house viewing and the agent didn’t show up. When I called the office they couldn’t get in contact with him and just sent me home. Wasted over 2 hours of my time by making the 1 hour journey here from work and the 90 minute journey home.
