A special mention to Maleek who gave honest advice, has a thorough knowledge of the area and took excellent photos - so much so we sold our house in one weekend. This branch handled my formal complaint only in the role of Area Manager following a proposed purchase that had been marketed and confirmed as freehold by Paul Carr Hamstead branch. During conveyancing, it became clear that the property was in fact subject to a short lease of around 12 years, which led to the purchase being withdrawn after survey and solicitor costs had already been incurred. Although the complaint was considered and a final response was provided, it did not resolve the issue of the incorrect tenure information relied upon at the point of marketing, nor did it address the resulting financial loss of over £900. Based on my experience, the complaint handling was unsatisfactory.

Top quality Estate Agent. Let me explain why. Some time ago my wife and I decided to sell up and move because our circumstances had radically changed. We went to Paul Carr and advertised with them. Friendly, efficient, straight forward and professional. We quickly sold, but our buyers used one of those online agencies that you pay up front for and then basically do everything yourself. As a result, once they had paid their money, they were left high and dry to vet their own clients, organise their own viewings and chase their own buyers. It was a disaster for them. So bad was their experience, they eventually sacked off their online agents and moved over to Paul Carr and sold their house with Paul Carr instantly. That alone should give you an indication of just how good Paul Carr were and are. The office staff were excellent, the girls, Chris and Jayne, were simply awesome. When we found a house to buy, even the agents of the house we were buying through commented on just how good Paul Carr were and especially Jayne. That should also indicate just how good they are. In addition, this is the 5th time we have moved and this is the best agents we have personally experienced by a long shot. Simply outstanding. So my advice is simple. If you want to save a few pennies and have a nightmare of a selling experience, go elsewhere. But if you want to sell your home and have it handled by professionals, this is the agency for you.

Terrible customer service. I called 2-3 times to arrange a viewing but never received any confirmation. I also sent requests through Zoopla and OnTheMarket, yet received no response at all. There seems to be a complete lack of communication, as calls and enquiries are simply not considered. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a property.
