I bought a house through the agency next door, but they don’t handle rentals. I went into Oaktree right after picking up the keys and asked for help with renting it out. I was told I’d come to the right place and that we would definitely reach an agreement. Even though I was there in person, I was asked to send my details by email. I did, and that was it. Silence. No response at all. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, thanks to you, I discovered other options. I rented out the house legally, quickly, and for 10 times less!

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with Oaktree letting. During our two-year tenancy with this agency, they deducted a portion of our deposit without valid reasons. I strongly advise others to be cautious and request an inspection before vacating the property. It is important to clarify any necessary actions that need to be taken prior to returning the key, as Oaktree tends to rush tenants during the end of the tenancy for property viewings without providing proper guidance. Furthermore, we had a seven-year tenancy with another agency prior to Oaktree, and we never encountered any issues. Although I cannot disclose specific property details, both the owner and agency of Oaktree seem to be playing games when it comes to house matters. If you decide to rent a property through an agency, I highly recommend avoiding direct contact with the house owner. In our case, Oaktree deducted half of our deposit money after we vacated the property. Please be cautious when dealing with Oaktree agents, as I cannot recommend them at all.

We rented through Oaktree for just over 4 years. Any issues were dealt with in a timely manner. Leaving under the current Covid restrictions we were slightly worried about not having a face to face handover and retaining our deposit. There were no issues at all and we received our deposit back in full. Would recommend over many other agents we have used in the past.

I wouldn't recommend them at all took ages to get repairs sorted then took my money at the end and had the audacity to say I hadnt cleaned the house before I left baring in mind I put so much into the house. Proper picking at people for money wouldn't waste a breath on them. Soon to say how nice the house is on inspections but stab you in the back when you leave, wish I had ripped out all the improvements now before I left and actually left the house in the state it was passed over. Despicable and poor excuse for a letting agent!

I requested to view a house, they sent an application to fill in, which asked for the names, date of birth and GENDER of my children. It also asked if anybody moving in is pregnant!!! Since when is this kind of discrimination allowed?? I am disgusted. Why do they need to know this information unless they are using it to discriminate against pregnant people?

We rented through Oaktree Lettings and have only left due to (finally!) getting our feet on the property ladder ourselves. We found them efficient, honest and helpful. Right from the start we've felt like we have been in good hands as even the application process was thorough. We worried about leaving during the Covid-19 pandemic due to restrictions, but felt that this was managed safely and effectively. A very small part of our deposit was held back, however the reason for this was clearly explained and the service that was required was sought very quickly. We were promptly given a quote (which was much less than we were expecting!) and this made us feel that Marianne and Louise had clearly made the effort to ensure to get a reasonable price for us. Oaktree Lettings have been fantastic and their services have never faltered. Thank you all again so very much! We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know who is wanting to rent a property!
