The property was advertised and leased to us despite having exposed asbestos, which we only became aware of after moving in. The handling of this situation by the agency was poor and concerning. Given that we have a baby and a toddler, and were paying a premium rental price, we expected a basic level of duty of care, urgency, and regulatory compliance. Instead, the response lacked appropriate urgency, clear communication, and concern around tenant safety and legal obligations. This was a stressful and avoidable situation that could have been managed far more responsibly. I would not recommend this agency based on our experience. Update - Can’t reply direct, but no one responded to my email yesterday. And to be clear, you were notified there was asbestos 5 days ago.

Awful experience upon leaving a tenancy. Will recommend a cleaner that is "in-house" and act like they are part of a compulsory process of leaving the tenancy, using pushing language and without a doubt offering incorrect ad hoc housing advice, like he did to us, without the knowledge of the landlord or the letting agency. The letting agency will bicker over tiny deposit issues for 30 pounds and take it all the way through ADR, delaying your deposit return. Rent was never late nor missed, and the property was in a professionally cleaned condition, and they felt they would hold the deposit back for a petty £30. We need more legislation to regulate against landlords and their associates in this sector to prevent these issues.

Great experience

Ivy have been letting my west end property for me for over 6 years now and the experience has been first class. Tenant selection has been thorough, careful and well considered over the years. Any maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly and the contractors they have used have all done excellent work. It's also a bonus that they dont charge commission on any contractor work carried out at the property. The staff have all been friendly and helpful in my dealings with them, the negative reviews on this site don't reflect my experience in the slightest. It's been hassle free for me to let my property with them, I can highly recommend.

Reluctant 2 stars, giving an extra star due to the friendliness of most of the staff and I liked the property. But overall a really poor company, they seem to be interested in earning a quick few pound in the property market without proper services. Had a fairly routine maintenance issue ignored, argued against and any time you reach out they become extremely defensive. They gladly go against Scottish property laws.

I first met Iain more than 4 years ago in 2020 when I was looking for a flat in Glasgow, although I didnt buy through him then I remembered how impressed I had been by his professionalism and integrity. 4 years on I had a flat to sell and took it to him. As a landlord, IVY looked after my property for 15 years. They kept me up to date and any issues that arose were quickly and professionally addressed.
