We recently purchased a home that was surveyed by Allied Surveyors Scotland. Unfortunately, the survey was significantly inaccurate. The survey failed to identify critical issues like severely rotted gutters and significant roof damage (inspected only from the ground). Areas of damp were inconsistently scored with no explanation as to why. When we raised concerns, David Donnachie was dismissive, unhelpful and patronising. He provided no clear explanations for the inaccuracies and offered no resolution. Despite several requests for specific information, this was blatantly ignored and no apology was ever given for our experience. Avoid Allied Surveyors Scotland. If you're buying a home surveyed by this company, get a second opinion. If you're selling, consider other surveyors. Our experience was deeply disappointing and costly.

Incompetent house valuation

Do not use this Company !We requested a house valuation by this company.A Director called Ellie Henderson was sent out to value the property, she never visited the property even though the house was almost complete and valued the property at £45,000 less than the asking price of £385,000. A complaint was made through their complaints procedure and the company never got back to us with an apology.A second Company, Shepherd's of Galashiels and selling agents, Retties of Edinburgh both valued the property at £385,000.My advice is avoid Allied Surveyors Scotland, particularly Ellie Henderson a Director in their Selkirk office, This woman needs retraining and the Company needs investigating.Because of her incompetence, we lost our sale in England and had to put the house on the market again but were then caught in Covid Lockdown and were unable to move.In total we lost over £13000 because of this woman's incompetence !!

Very poor service from these surveyors

Very poor service from these surveyorsI did complain. I’ve always used you for my surveys and always been very happy but the last occasion was dreadful, the floor plan was completely wrong, the surveyor got the construction wrong. It had to be completely withdrawn. Now you won’t touch my properties.I’m sorry but your reply is a lie, you were recently asked to carry out a survey and your response was to refuse on the basis you had carried out a survey for me previously and didn’t want to do any work for me again. I have your response in writing from my mortgage broker
