GoogleMy partner and I had Joe Gibson as our mortgage advisor: throughout the process, Joe explained everything we needed to know, was supportive and was extremely quick to respond to our enquiries. He is very detail-oriented, professional and friendly and provided support beyond expectatons. I cannot recommend him enough.

Really poor experience with Allan & Harris Roath. I had a house valuation booked, and because I’m away on business, a family member took half a day off work to attend. Just a few hours before the appointment, they cancelled by email with no phone call, no proper explanation, and no attempt to rearrange. Cancelling last minute is bad enough, but not even having the decency to call or acknowledge the inconvenience caused is unacceptable. It shows a complete lack of professionalism and zero respect for people’s time.

Allen and Harris, WhitchurchJust put my parents house on the market with Allen and Harris and not impressed with communication at all. An Open House was arranged but on the day of the Open house no communication with either myself or my brother)who lives in the house) so I was a bit concerned. I rang the office and was told one of their colleagues should have got in touch with me to say it had been pushed back two weeks. I had not received a phone call or message of any kind. I was then told it was rearranged for two weeks later, again no communication and nothing materialised.Early days but already thinking of finding someone else to sell the house.

60% 1-star reviews at the time of writing, this should be the only red flag you need. Firstly, they mis-sold the tenancy, and assured certain facts that were conditional on my signing were true, that turned out not to be true. There is no way I would have signed the tenancy if they had not been misleading. When confronted, they made demands from me which were unreasonable, including ‘not to open the window’ of which there is only one in the apartment. Corey is especially corrupt, and the biggest scammer, stay clear as he will gaslight anyone and back track/say whatever he feels like to cover himself. Stay clear. Remember, 60% 1-star reviews. That is the majority of all reviews. Please don’t waste your time.

The home buying process can be daunting, but Yupy was fantastic every step of the way.From finding potential properties to helping me negotiate an ideal contract, Yupy was always available and communicated how each part of the whole process would move forward. He also understood the housing market in our search area, which allowed us to get an incredible deal that exceeded our expectations.Yupy answered all my questions with in-depth explanations, ensuring I fully understood what I was doing and why it was necessary, going the extra mile and assisting me with obtaining numerous specialist reports on the condition of the property and ensuring that when access was required for these inspections to take place the property was accessible, even at short notice.His knowledge and experience, combined with his patient approach, made this otherwise stressful event a smooth and successful process. GoogleI phoned up Allen & Harris looking to book a viewing for one of their properties, and when I mentioned I would be buying in cash because I didn't think it likely I'd get a loan (I'm self-employed, and I'd been told as much for years), the agent recommended I speak with one of their mortgage advisors, Joe Gibson. Joe did indeed manage to secure me a loan, dramatically improving my house-hunting budget! He was incredibly helpful throughout, explained everything clearly, and even read through home reports of properties I was viewing to look out for potential issues. 10/10, would recommend his services to anyone!

We previously used Allen and Harris to market our property and had a terrible experience. Today, we arranged to view a property marketed by them. I had reminder text messages confirming the viewing and when I arrived the owner said he accepted an offer 4 days ago and he was told Allen and Harris would inform anyone who had arranged to view - which they did not. Total waste of time and confirms my views.

GoogleThe sale of our flat went very smoothly from start to finish. With Martin Ward’s experience & reassurance we felt confident that all would go well and indeed we were delighted with the eventual result. We found Shannon Docherty, as our point of contact, to be 100% professional and always more than willing to deal with any questions or queries. We didn’t hesitate to contact her regarding even the smallest matter - unfailingly cheerful she was very quick to get back to us with answers or advice if we sought it. On the whole we were really happy with our Shawlands Allen & Harris experience.

We used Allan and Harris’ mortgage advisor service. The lovely Alanna Docherty helped us with honestly everything for buying our new house. She was amazing we could not fault her. She really went above and beyond and as for many people, all the things that come with buying the house can be very confusing but Alana explained everything so well and just made the whole process stress free to be honest. She always answered any messages or query’s quick and was always so friendly and polite. Her knowledge is great as well. We are so happy with the service provided and cannot recommend Alana enough. If you are looking for a mortgage advisor she is the one, we will be using her again for future housing things. Thanks so so much again Alana 😊

They assured me it was a good tenant. When I received the referencing it turned out she wasn't earning enough to pay the rent, had lied about her job and salary, had seven addresses in eight years. I only learned this three days before she was supposed to move in. I stopped the deal and decided to sell. Allen and Harris still want their fee. The demand is £300 more than on the contract. Total incompetence.

PAISLEY OFFICE What went wrong well everything did what I was promised never happened first time buyers didn't have a mortgage in place which I was told wouldn't happen!!!! The mortgage wasn't approved and they didn't have the decency to inform us unbelievable then because of the delay I had to fork out for another home report which had to be a special way never heard of it and the company they got gave it to another surveyor who weren't approved I mean you couldn't write this!!! Then another surveyor sent and he said he would have it sent the next day 23/9/25 and today 25/9/25 no call I've been in bed very ill all week and this helped to contributed it once again I had to call them to find it was done on Tuesday 😡I mean what does it take to inform your client you charge enough for no communication shocking I have sold more houses whilst they were children and never ever had anything like this happened before and always was kept in the loop so all in all I'm really disgusted with the service and would never use them again

So poor experience with them. Before peyment was taken, the Sequence Brooker was ringing every day. After payment made, totally change atitute. Lack of communication, no reply, ignoring, waiting forever. Because not receiving support from broker I made bad mistake pull out from property I was hoping to buy. Always been worrying when problem because this broker is not with you when really need.They change big amount of money for lifetime service. But no service after payment.

GoogleDisappointing Experience of simply trying to get a home report (and possibly set up a viewing for a property if home report was to my liking) via both Rightmove/their own website/calling them about a place I was interested in for a fortnight and no reply Only time I got any expedited reply was when on one of the several requests i ticked the "yes I have a property to be valued option" and got prompt enough reply in regards to that, but as soon as I requested the home report again from that person as i would need somewhere to move to first, back to radio silence, finally get to speak to someone else today and no luck due to the property has an offer pretty much accepted, would have been nice to have that option myself

I used Allen and Harris to purchase a house and Connor Sherman was my estate agent. He was so friendly and helpful. Kept me updated throughout the whole process and would chase up any enquiries that I had immediately.Also, Liam Tresillian, the mortgage broker at Allen and Harris, was extremely helpful and found me the best mortgage deal. I highly recommend using Allen and Harris.

That’s is me again. After a very stressful negotiation with this company we decided to continue in the purchase of the apartment and couldn’t be worst. After a lack of information in the home report that builds with more than 4 floors bead to have lift by new regulations and just a few lenders accept to mortgage apartments in 5 floors without lift we got one. Lender tried 3 times to organise the service but Alen and Harris have not organised the appointment so they came to us telling the seller will put apartment back to market. Terrible service,terrible organisation, terrible customer service. Maybe now they will sell to their friend.

What a great experience we had selling our parents’ house. Allen and Harris were totally professional and took all the hassle out of selling a property which is 2 ½ hours away from me. The Matterport walkthrough showed the house beautifully. Allen & Harris did all the viewings - 15 in the space of 2 weeks - and secured a great price for us. They were friendly, respectful and kept us informed at all times. This was the Paisley office - a great team!

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services.As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional,dishonest,useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

We have especially appreciated her advice and following up our questions with the vendor. Kaye has worked hard in negotiations and Hassan has been a pleasure to meet too.
