TrustpilotTERRIBLE
That’s is me again. After a very stressful negotiation with this company we decided to continue in the purchase of the apartment and couldn’t be worst. After a lack of information in the home report that builds with more than 4 floors bead to have lift by new regulations and just a few lenders accept to mortgage apartments in 5 floors without lift we got one. Lender tried 3 times to organise the service but Alen and Harris have not organised the appointment so they came to us telling the seller will put apartment back to market. Terrible service, terrible organisation, terrible customer service. Maybe now they will sell to their friend.

GoogleHighly recommend this estate agent. From start to finish the service we received buying our flat was flawless. Almost all of our dealings were with Kieran who deserves a huge amount of credit for a very young man he behaved in a highly personable and professional manner at all times - very knowledgable too despite only a few months on the job - he was eager to assist and answer any questions we had with the confidence of someone who had been doing the job all his adult life! An absolute natural! Would definitely use this firm again.

TrustpilotPaisley office - Professional, friendly, great experience
What a great experience we had selling our parents’ house. Allen and Harris were totally professional and took all the hassle out of selling a property which is 2 ½ hours away from me. The Matterport walkthrough showed the house beautifully. Allen & Harris did all the viewings - 15 in the space of 2 weeks - and secured a great price for us. They were friendly, respectful and kept us informed at all times. This was the Paisley office - a great team!

Rented us a property (which was extremely overpriced but had no choice as was about to become homeless) and said that the landlord was “the best landlord they’ve ever dealt with”

GoogleThe very friendly, helpful staff at the Dennistoun Branch helped me buy my flat last month. As a first time buyer, they kept me fully informed and explained everything to me through the whole process. Paula and Connor the mortgage advisor from Sequence were especially great and would definitely recommend their services to my friends and family.

TrustpilotThank you Maisy and Olly.
A big thank you to Maisy for her kindness, patience and professionalism throughout our buying experience this week. We are moving into Shepton Mallet from Jersey (although my husband was born here) and only had a week to view properties during half term as I am a teacher. On arrival we didn't think that we could be in a position to put in an offer as although we have sold a property at home it hasnt been fully processed....Maisy has made this totally possible for us and we are now really excited to start our new life here soon.Olly was also great at the start of this weeks journey and yesterday when offers were being discussed. From beginning to today when our offer was accepted we have been 100% happy with Allen And Harris.Thank you all 😚

TrustpilotCharity Shop Sue needs to help them.
Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

TrustpilotLIARS,MONEY HUNGRY DISHONEST
PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services. As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional, dishonest, useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

TrustpilotFirst time buyers - Excellent team
We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Their customer service is on another level and they would bend over backwards if that would help the process move smoother.

TrustpilotVery little communication. AVOID!!
Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

TrustpilotWonderful company to deal with
From the initial meeting to the conclusion the Ayr office were fantastic Caitlin, Ben and Allan were calming and reassuring at all stages. I am the anxious type so their management and constant updates were very welcome. I wish I had gone with their lawyers too in retrospect. I would not hesitate to deal with them again!!

TrustpilotWould give zero if I could
Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.

TrustpilotShockingly bad company to rent from
Shockingly bad company to rent fromOne of the worst renting experiences we have ever had, doomed from the start to finish. Left us in unsafe conditions with mould, broken shower and flea ridden carpets with an overwhelming stench of dog despite telling us the property had been professionally cleaned.Eventually after numerous kick offs they brought in cleaners who agreed the state of the property was close to inhabitable. They noted the landlord had tried to use paint to cover the extent of the mould and that it was only likely to get worse. We had agreed prior to move in to bring our pet, however this was completely missed off our application by the team and subsequently caused another kick off from our landlord, trying to void our rental agreement and request our pet was re-homed due to their grave error. They claimed the building was a listed building and we ideally were wishing for the single glazed windows in the living room to be replaced due to how cold it gets during winter despite heating on. This was refused even though the bedroom and kitchen windows had been replaced and there was no record of the property being listed. Lastly as our tenancy agreement was coming to the end, we were surprised with the news that the flat didn’t have a Carbon Monoxide alarm despite passing the gas safety before move in, this means us living there was completely illegal due to having gas appliances but yet they continued to work with the same landlord and readvertise the property for rent.Overall there is a complete lack of care or interest for tenants at all and they seem to completely priortise getting money from landlords. They do not care for people in the slightest.

TrustpilotRude and abrupt - Clarkston Branch
I have been waiting a month for a call back with more information. I found a couple times over the month and got told that I would be called back. I phoned today and the lady was rude and abrupt, saying they already phoned - which they did not. This whole experience has made us never want to use them.

TrustpilotThis should be 0 stars
This should be 0 stars. Don’t rent from them, shameless money grabbers. They don’t know what they are doing, liars and that’s all they care is about money. They do not care about tenants unless it’s money. They don’t know what they are doing within their team as one person says one thing and another says another. They lie about coming to agreements and shift the goal posts after they take your money. You pay early to full contract, hand in keys and leave property, then they tell you that your still liable to pay all the bills and council tax even though your not in there. After the fact, They tell you that you didn’t follow early release protocol and yet when I tried to ask for early release at the earliest opportunity they said there is no such thing. They are shameless - stay away!

TrustpilotIf you’re renting my honest advice…
If you’re renting my honest advice would be to avoid this company like the plague!!! This company only have one focus within their little set up and that’s money money money. Happy to take their cut every month, but not happy to take responsibility or ownership when things go wrong. We’ve had nothing but stress and trouble with them since renting off them, the local office is run by kids who don’t seem to have any clue of their roles, probably only driven by commission and not customer service. AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY.

TrustpilotThis agency is a complete joke
This agency is a complete joke. The day I involved them in the sale of my house I regretted it. First the Branch Manager went off sick and that was the start of our problems. Their surveyor couldn’t even work out the size of our house correctly and underestimated the size of it by nearly a third, and was way out with the valuation. The Area Director was supposed to sort it all out, but I later found out he didn’t even know who to contact in Connells Surveyors. The final straw was they hadn’t even the decency to cancel the contract and let us get an agent who knows how to sell a house. Avoid Allen And Harris Hamilton at all costs!

TrustpilotDreadful service from Allen and Harris…
Dreadful service from Allen and Harris Stratton Branch and especially Steve Hudson. This branch used to be fantastic and I bought my house from them over 3 years ago but how things have changed. Luckily I had brilliant agents selling my property (Richard James) but have the misfortune of buying one through Steve at Allen and Harris in Stratton who is totally useless. He has lied, been uncommunicative and never even supplied me with the property details that I'm buying. Without any assistance from Steve, we're finally nearing completion and I've been trying, without success to contact Steve for the past 2 days but he's refusing to answer my emails or calls. This review is solely of the Stratton branch but I would suggest you re-think your agents if you're in this catchment area
