Really disappointed. We instructed Pattinsons to manage a rental property for us and were promised they would look after everything for us. Sadly the experience has not matched the promise. The communication has been shambolic. Repeated requests from different agents within the agency about the same things which have been communicated to them time and time again. No internal joined up working. This is unfair on both us as landlords and our tenants. The repairs and maintenance service they offer is also extortionate. £100 quote to replace a bathroom lock. I’ve requested to escalate this to a formal complaint now as the service offered is completely unprofessional

Highly Unprofessional and Disappointing. Several visits to Pattinson Estate Agents in Gosforth have been a complete disappointment. The atmosphere feels dynamic in all the wrong ways, staff members are constantly distracted on their mobile phones, sitting around, and displaying a total lack of self-respect or professional standards. Worse still, there is a clear culture of dishonesty. I applied for several properties with them, but due to their constant lies and inability to maintain basic service standards, the process fell apart. Gossip and poor customer treatment seem to be the norm behind the scenes rather than actual service. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic professionalism, stay far away from this branch. I certainly won't be returning.

If I could this review a zero stars, i would. Shocking and Misleading Service. I was repeatedly pressured by a representative called Carly to place a bid on a property, receiving around 18 calls insisting that the seller would accept almost any offer. I placed two reasonable bids within my budget, but was continually told that the seller was expecting more and that if I did not bid again the property would be removed from auction indefinitely. The auction was originally due to end at 12:00, but it was extended by three hours specifically so I could place another bid. During this time I was repeatedly told that this would be the final opportunity and that the seller was waiting for my offer. Based on these assurances I placed another bid and ended up winning the auction, although I felt heavily pressured and misled throughout the process. Before making any payment I made it clear that obtaining the remaining funds within such a short timeframe would be difficult. I was reassured that there would be flexibility and time to complete the payment. However, after they took £5,000 from me, the property was placed back into auction just two days later without proper explanation. At no point before paying was I told that this would happen or given any realistic opportunity to resolve the situation. They are now refusing to refund the money. I believe I was misled and pressured into bidding under false information, and I am now seeking legal advice and preparing to take legal action against Pattinsons. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company.

Once the auction ends successfully and contracts are exchanged, a legally binding contract is formed between the buyer and the seller. Pattinson acts as the auctioneer and is not a party to that contract. Where the contractual terms are not fulfilled following exchange, any decision regarding the contract is ultimately a matter for the seller, in accordance with the agreed auction terms. GoogleFeeling a bit on a con here. When being quoted a 'flat fee' of £1800 + VAT through Phil, this usually means all costs which was a consideration versus other agents. Not £2340 which apparently was an additional fraud fee. If you're going to sell your service with flat fees, that shouldn't included 'oh this one extra' when you've already commited to going with one agent over another. Just leaves an unnecessary sting versus being upfront. Be vigilant of the quoted costings. They messed up our original plan of offers over £180K putting it at £180K only which made it near impossible to receive anything more than £180K with that expectation having been already been set in sellers minds what it was worth. Basic selling rules that they got wrong. Other 'like for like' flats with similar size/layout achieved more within 6 months despite us having spent more on renovations. Very disappointing, I'd suggest using other agents.

This allows clients the opportunity to provide feedback, request amendments and ensure they are satisfied with the details before the property is launched to the market. She chased things up when progress slowed, and kept us in the loop at all times with phone calls and emails. This went such a long way for putting our minds at ease. Just used Pattinson to rent out my property as have been very good when used them in past , just to say service was once again excellent especially as was just before Xmas but they found a tenant for me really quickly and sorted everything out in a really prompt time , they really are the go to estate agent in the North East can’t rate them highly enough as never been let down by them and must say didn’t expect them to find anybody till the New Year , they’ve excelled themselves once again big thank you from their team I’m sure their all very good across the board but special mention to Bedlington and Gosforth office team , great service once again.

We would like to thank everyone at Pattinson's, especially Caitlin and Michael, for their friendly and professional service during the recent sale of our holiday cottage. We were looking for a reasonably quick "hassle free" sale but did not want to compromise on the price. We were advised "secure sale" by auction would be the best option for us, and although we were initially wary due to unfamiliarity with the process, we decided to give it a go. The whole process, from our first contact with Pattinson's to exchange of contracts, took no more than 5 weeks. Everything happened very quickly on the auction day and the bids rapidly increased from a relatively low starting point, finally comfortably exceeding our expectations before the hammer fell. And at that point, contacts are exchanged and the sale is legally binding for both parties, so there is no worry about the buyer pulling out. We would certainly use this method of sale again, and would trust Pattinson's to manage it.
