Charlotte Walker has been amazing. We needed to make a very quick transition between properties and Charlotte was there to guide us. Very helpful, extremely personable and friendly but professional at the same time. Charlotte has been great at keeping us in the loop and responded to all emails very quickly. I would also like to mention India Dear, who was our primary contact and was able to send email links quickly and get viewing booked. The Worst Estate Agents Ever!

The team at Romans High Wycombe were the worst I have ever come across. I have been renting since I was eighteen and have never experienced such a disregard for my health or well being. I took on the property in June and was plagued with heating and hot water problems. The property was damp and destroyed both my skin and chest. I actually paid my rent in full and moved out of the property early. Lisa is unprofessional having lied to me and ignored my complaints. She left me in freezing temperatures without both hot water and heating. I find the team in High Wycombe especially the property manager Lisa both disgusting and morally without conscience. I would not recommend Romans to anyone.

Scott and Abigail Jones have been nothing but helpful, updating me whenever possible - even to let me know there’s no updates just yet.The process in reporting to the Building Manager to get things sorted has been slow as the contractors were meant to do it when I moved in two months ago… but good other than that.

I have just completed on a property and dealt with Romans Maidenhead branch. Both Adam and Chloe supported and guided me through the process along with Cheryl who joined at the end. All three were brilliant. They got me answers quickly and worked with both solicitors to push the sale on. My only advice would be to get the move managers involved far earlier in the process. As soon as Cheryl was involved things moved very quickly. This would have really helped to have her earlier in in the process.Thank you all. You were great

We were renting from Romans agency in Bath. We left as soon as our contract ended. We got a flat in a building with a night club and homeless shelter across the street. And nobody tell us this. Apart from the noise and questionable security, what about the crowds every day and every third night in a middle of pandemic? Bottles, glasses, handkerchiefs or just semiliquid waste on the street. Everybody is free to do whatever he wants but I had to be witness of this for 6 months? This is deception, as a solicitor told me.We were renting from Romans agency and never again.

Professional Service and Helpful staff - Lower Earley

Lower Earley Branch - After reading the reviews, other branches do not seem so successful, however this branch is very good. Staff respond promptly to queries and a very helpful and friendly. I am happy to be renting on of their properties as I feel looked after. Other estate agents in the area were very unprofessional and lacked prompt communication. Antony is particularly helpful. I only knock one star off as it was not disclosed within the tenancy the frequency of inspections to my property, this part was very vague.

We chose Romans to sell our property as Ian Lewis was the most professional and friendly of several we met. The sales process was well managed throughout, a buyer was found quickly and the sale could have been concluded quickly, but for issues with the purchase of our new property. She was very professional, ensured that we always followed Covid-compliant rules when viewing houses for safety, and has been very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. Our fridge-freezer was broken beyond repair and we emailed our property manager BenjaminNujeerallee. Ben was on it from day 1 and we had a Homecare cover from our landlord.The engineer visited the next day and in a couple of days our landlord had submitted all documents needed for a nee fridge.Ben liaised with them for us and a nee fridge was delivered to us in a reasonable time

100% do not recommend!

I tried to buy a house with Romans Bracknell. I would not wish to repeat the experience! The viewing and initial negotiation went well, and everyone I spoke to at this stage was very pleasant. I wanted to move before the stamp duty freeze ended, but the people I was trying to buy from went suspiciously quiet at the beginning of June for about two weeks. My solicitors chased twice a day, every day with no response from their solicitors, and the Move Manager was unable to get any information to me either. Obviously it was a time of extremely high demand and very stressful for all concerned, but the lack of communication compounded this - and - upon reflection, I now think was deliberate stalling tactics.Eventually at the last minute (as I completed the sale of my property and was ready to exchange) I was told the sellers were not prepared to inconvenience themselves and move out in time for me to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday. I think they hoped as we were so far down the line, I would not walk away.I received a call from someone senior at Romans which was aggressive and actually quite threatening. I would not recommend this person speak to anyone (let alone a female) in this manner again. He told me they would market the property again for more money if I withdrew my offer, and that his clients were not willing to disrupt themselves or bear the cost of breaking the chain to move out earlier than 30th June. Unfortunately he was unable to advise of what date they could move out - effectively rendering me homeless for an indefinite amount of time!By pure fluke, I put an enquiry in to view another house and spoke to the agent at the top of the chain who advised me of the potential move date. It took Romans a further week to communicate this date to me. I withdrew my offer as my circumstances changed, and I felt there was a basic lack of respect for my time and costs. I understand the fees are ultimately paid by the sellers, but they can only be paid when someone buys! If there had not been a delay, I would - without question - have bought the property. But the attitude displayed to me has put me off ever dealing with this agent again. There are other, much more reputable agents in the local area, who must find it frustrating when their deals are ruined by others.
