I've been a private renter now with…

I've been a private renter now with Romans for 8 years and it's been a stressless time throughout. On the odd occasions I've needed to report a repair, these have been dealt within a very reasonable time frame and to good standard. I absolutely love the property I reside in and I can't ask for a better Rental Agent who helped me from the very start of my journey to this point, if totally honest. Christine Lancaster too is always my port of call when needed and is totally professional as well as understanding. Long may this relationship continue long into the future too. I relocated from Ireland 5 half years ago and my first property to rent was with Romans for 3 years , so I am so glad my first property to buy was also through Romans but a different branch this time. Dealing with all the staff in each branch through Rentals through the years and now my first purchase they are so professional and lovely to deal with . I have had dealings with both the lettings and sales teams. Nikki and Beth in lettings have been very helpful in finding new tenants, in a quick and efficient manner. Charlie in sales has also been excellent, in providing guidance with the sales process. Overall a brilliant team at Farnborough.

Horrible company if you are a renter. Don't expect your deposit back even if you leave the house spotless. Just don't care about the renter and only care about the landlords.Would never use again.

Bunch of pathetic individuals claiming to be good estate agents

I recently had an experience with the company's valuation process that has raised some serious concerns. It appears that there may be issues with fairness and trustworthiness in the Reading office.Throughout my interaction with an individual in the Reading office, I encountered what I believe to be unilateral discrimination. This came as a shock and is completely unacceptable, especially in the professional world where equality and fairness should be paramount.What's even more troubling is the perception that this discriminatory behaviour seemed to be supported by the team manager within the company. Such support for unfair practices is deeply concerning and needs to be addressed promptly.In my opinion, it's crucial for the company to reevaluate its valuation process and the individuals responsible for making these important decisions. A transparent and equitable process is essential for trust and confidence in any business.While I have reservations about my experience, I hope that the company takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure a more trustworthy and fair valuation process in the future.It’s Reading branch

So much for 28 days

The team seamed incompetent to deal with the sale effectively, granted the property was a repossession. In the future they should ensure they have all information pertaining to the property before listing it on the market, especially if they are going to push for a 28 day exchange. Mine took 6 months in the end.

The Worst Estate Agent I have ever dealt with

If I could give no stars I would. The communication is terrible, I have been a Tennant with one of their managed properties for over a year. They don't respond to our calls or emails unless we chase several times. Then it still takes weeks.Everything they respond with is incorrect and not relevant to our contract or property, we have never received information that is correct or useful.Avoid at all costs, you will waste days of your life trying to get a simple yes or no answer that is factually correct.

Don’t deal with this branch

This branch is absolutely useless. I went in with my SO and told them all the details they needed such as bedrooms, date my current tenancy ended, when I needed to move out etc.They then showed us a property and told us it was available from the 11th of august (First lie they told) where we emailed saying that we will pay the holding deposit with the intention of moving in on the 28th of August.After a stupid amount of reference checks which with most the lettingshub said they didn’t need and that I should send it to the agency, who in turn forgot they requested it.We finally got our contract which said the 13th of September…After calls with the Sal (head office person who was amazing) we found out that the property was actually available from the 13th of September. Since our tenancy finished before the 13th we were livid.The manager of the branch is useless.The amount of times Sal had to apologise on their behalf is insane.After a bit of back and forth we moved in on the 4th of September to a flat that was absolutely destroyed, a mess and contained mould!The agency told the landlord it was spotless and told me there looked to be no serious problems!Overall don’t deal with this branch.
