Our experience of a move back to Oxfordshire in the capable hands of the Perry Bishop team in Faringdon has been brilliant. They have been with us through the whole process showing us available properties with cheerfulness, professionalism & patience. When we were able to sell our own home many miles away, they showed us the house which became ours yesterday. We are delighted to say that it is perfect for us. The purchase of the property was made smoother and less stressful by the dedication & expertise of the Faringdon team who all worked in a dedicated manner towards the goal of attaining the home for us. Excellent service. The initial consultation with Harriet was so professional. Our house isn't easily comparable with others, but the valuation work was really well researched. She was really honest about the positives and negatives of living where we do and helped us have a realistic view on timescales. The marketing and pricing strategy worked out really well and we got 99% of the price we jointly agreed was our target. The chain was long and, sadly, broke down, but quickly reformed. Again, Harriet gave us great advice but always gave us the decision making power. Michele, who handles the post - offer process, was brilliant too. Fortnightly updates as a minimum and realism about how long it would take. She was definitely motivating people along the chain to make it all happen. I would definitely use them again.

We wanted to write this review for Michelle. When we put our flat on the market last year we received an offer very quickly thanks to Harriet and the excellent Perry Bishop staff. This was a great start and with no chain on either side we expected a relatively quick and smooth process. In fact, it was long and protracted and quite different to when we bought the flat some fifteen years ago (then the whole process took ca. 6 weeks!). As weeks turned into months and we were still seemingly no nearer completion, we were ready to ‘call it a day’ and take the property off the market. Without Michelle, I think this would have been the case. It was Michelle’s persistence, together with her understanding of the situation and ability to liaise effectively between all parties that, some 21 weeks later, we finally concluded the sale. So, Michelle, exceptionally, we are writing this review for you and can wholeheartedly recommend your services and those of Perry Bishop, thank you so much for all of your help and support.

We can now reflect on the recent sale of our home in Shrivenham. Our sincere thanks to the Perry Bishop Team - Lucy, Amy, Michelle, Katie and no doubt others behind the scenes - for making sure that the marketing materials were carefully prepared; that potential buyers and viewing opportunities were not missed; that we always received prompt and responsive feedback; and that recommendations were clear and professional regarding prospective purchasers and "proceedability" It took 3 days from the photoshoot to the production of a brilliant brochure which was quickly uploaded onto the PB and Rightmove websites. First viewing came within 24 hours. Our house was Sold STC in less than 4 weeks; with contracts exchanged and completion in under 4 months. Lucy and her team were quick to identify our USPs - unique selling points - which were then highlighted in the marketing materials; importantly, they were realistic in giving us advice on the asking price. Kirsty’s management of the sale, exchange and now completion is excellent in all respects, second to none in my long experience of moving house many times. Even though the first prospect opted out the day of exchange Kirsty was very professional consoling us but remaining positive that she would achieve the sale. She did so exceptionally well. I viewed the property with Eleanor, she was so lovely and was able to answer all of my questions about the place. she was also the friendly face in branch that was there to hand over the keys upon completion! I would like to sincerely thank Michelle Murphy at Perry Bishop for her support, kindness, and quick responses throughout my buying journey. Michelle was always extremely helpful, answering all my questions within days and keeping me informed at every stage, which I truly appreciated. That said, I do have mixed feelings about the overall experience. The seller accepted our offer in mid-March, and by the end of May both my solicitor and I were ready to exchange. However, the process extended until late August, and when we were finally ready to complete, my solicitor’s firm was unfortunately intervened. This caused further delays, though in the end I only took one week extra to complete from the originally agreed date after the intervention. During this period, I went through a lot of stress and panic, particularly as I had already paid my deposit to the solicitor. Thankfully, I did receive my deposit back before completion, and everything was sorted in the end. I do not place blame on Perry Bishop for these circumstances, but I do feel that if the agents had been a little more assertive or clearer about timeframes with the seller, it might have reduced the stress and uncertainty I experienced. As a first-time buyer, I have certainly experienced the worst in this process, but I am grateful that Michelle ensured information was passed on to me promptly and always before any deadlines. For that reason, I would still recommend Perry Bishop, with the advice to give clear deadlines to sellers early on.
