Initially I wanted to use Beals as a first time seller as I didn’t do much of a shop around, Emma was friendly and easy to get on with upon the initially visit and for a while after. I decided to go with them but I was then advised by friends and family not to use them due to poor experiences, I did a further research and decided not to continue and I cancelled within the 14 day cooling off period as it’s within my right to do so if I wish. Unfortunately this wasn’t taken lightly and I was then receiving intimidating and bullying type emails from Emma, which if I’m honest it’s quite disgusting behaviour and I asked them to stop contacting me. Since then I have been advised by multiple Individuals that the branch is known for their awful approach to customer service, which to be honest after the back and forth emails from Emma isn’t a surprise. The disappointing factor is if you wish to complain further you have to send a letter, you cannot even email anyone from their head office. I don’t think that there is much care around customer service, and if something doesn’t quite go as they wish it seems you’re in the firing line. I don’t think the behaviour I experienced from Emma is at all okay, I had to call them to take my property of the market since they would not reply via email. Personally I would not use this branch for selling nor buying, if one of the management think it’s appropriate to act the way Emma did.

Awful, avoid

After deciding to move out of our glorious huge flat which was maintained by the most fantastic family run estate agents, I had the misfortune of dealing with Beals Fareham. Now, Amber was a lovely polite girl and was helpful. The move itself seem to take an age and I was constantly contacting them to find out what is going on, the new landlords insisted on meeting us to make sure 'we were normal, clean and would look after their property' as she professed to be a house proud person. That's fine, until moving day. Walked into the property, the smell coming from the place was disgusting, the property had not been cleaned even though they stated it had. The individual who was supposed to log all of the marks, stains and usual wear and tear, had given the place the all clear. The carpets had not been hoovered let alone cleaned, the very visible red marks on the carpet had not been logged, I can only suggest the reason may be so they get to keep my deposit when I leave by accusing me of causing the marks, naughty. I took photos and videos of everything. It was disgusting. HOUSE PROUD!!!, if this was house proud I wouldn't have let stig of the dump live there it was that bad, the toilet was brown and the smell was like a farm yard. I called Beals and asked them to come and see the place and they refused. I sent photos and videos and a full email explaining everything. We decided, stupidly, to clean the place ourselves, I bought £50 worth of cleaning supplies to scrub the place and 4 people and 4.5 hours later including carpet washing it really looked no better or smelt better. The landlords still had personal possessions in the loft, the garden and the garage which they had kept the keys to, so we couldn't even get access to the garage, which is a breach of contract by the way. The landlords were supposed to collect everything that weekend and leave the garage keys but they were a no show, not even a message. Now the property was to be maintained by the landlords not Beals. We decided to hand the keys back. Jessica, what an unpleasant individual. She spoke to her staff quite poorly, maybe a little power crazed as I witnessed her speaking to Amber like she was her personal PA and rather rudely as well. We received our deposit back quickly, but the first months rent, which we're pretty convinced that between Jessica and the landlord, it was suggested that they let us out of the contract, which we were told we should be grateful for, but would lose the £1000 rent, we never moved in and had the keys for 3 days. We then sought legal advice and was told by the solicitor which a letter was composed explaining to Beals that the landlord had breached contract on 3 separate accounts and therefore we were entitled to our money back. We were well within our rights to take the landlord to a small claims court. All of this completely true and on our side but sadly we decided not to as this would have taken up too much time and energy. So the moral of all of this is steer clear of Beals who are liars, thieves and will back the landlord before the tenant as we're just a money maker for them. Shame on you Jessica and shame on the landlord who happens to be a nurse, so much for compassion eh. Disgusting and karma has no deadline.
