I would highly recommend Mervyn of Abbey Properties estate agents in Eynsham, who guided me through the sale of my home from start to finish.
Abbey Properties sold me my house 22 years ago in 2004, so it made sense to use them again when it came to selling it in 2026.
Mervyn's advice on pricing was realistic, honest and based on a genuine understanding of the local market. What really stood out to me was that he didn’t try to inflate the asking price simply to win my business. He gave me straightforward advice from the outset, even when it wasn’t necessarily the easiest thing to hear.
He was also incredibly supportive when the sale reached some potentially difficult moments, particularly when the surveys raised issues and we had to navigate price negotiations. He handled everything calmly and professionally, helping me through what could have been a very stressful part of the process.
What I appreciated most was his authenticity. There was no unnecessary salesmanship or flamboyance, just honest advice, good communication and a genuine commitment to getting the sale through.
Selling a home can be a stressful experience, but I trusted Mervyn all the way through the process. I felt I was in very safe hands throughout, and I am extremely grateful for the guidance and support I received.
If you are after a honest and realistic approach from your estate agent, without hesitation, I would recommend Mervyn and Abbey Properties to assist in selling your house.

I tried to sell a one-of-a-kind property in Eynsham, a 5 bedroom converted Church with another local agent, and was forced to give up after no offers in over a year! Tried again with Abbey Properties. Mervyn suggested the right price and techniques. Five viewings in the first 2 weeks leading to an offer at the asking price. I should have used Abbey Properties in the first place! The whole transaction was completed efficiently and remotely, since I am living outside the country. Mervyn's local knowledge is absolutely outstanding. Don't mess around like I did, go to Abbey Properties FIRST!
