I bought one of these houses and have been bitterly disappointed. There is NO customer service whatsoever. -Dangerous electrics (with fake electrical cert) -Leaks all over -Almost every optional extra is damaged / faulty -Over 240 snags (some minor, many significant / dangerous) -Six months in and still waiting for snags to be resolved. If you do buy, then add in an extra £15,000 to get the snags sorted out yourself, if you are in a chain then expect to go into rented for a significant period (completion date will change repeatedly with minimal notice), expect a fight with the customer service rep, and be prepared / able to project manage redrow contractors.

Moved into Redrow Romansfield, Devon. Aftercare was appalling. Snag list included no insulation in roof! Two years on still waiting for accepted defects to be repaired after, worst builder ever.

The sales consultants are very friendly and helpful. We were worried about buying a new- build house, but very happy and satisfied after moving into our new house. Minor snags identified were fixed quickly.Customer service is very easy to reach and they always got back to me in 24 hours. So far, very happy experience.

Horrendous I bought plot 52 off plan and wish I hadn’t! The sales process was horrendous, the completion date was changed so many times that eventually I had to move into temporary accommodation. Once I moved in there were hundreds of snags, these should be fixed within two weeks but months and months later there has lots of promises, but nothing much actually done (the customer service is outrageously bad). Tens of thousands of pounds of optional extras, are either faulty or broken, dozens of hours spent trying to get the developer to fix them, nothing done so will end up in court. Buying on this development is the worst decision I have ever made, there are lots of other local developers that are far better. Speaking to all my neighbours, they have had the same experiences as me. A local friend bought from linden omes and has had a far better experience- not perfect, but nothing like the horrendous situation I have been living on for nine months. If we could get our money back we would be out without hesitation. Our advice DO NOT BUY ON THIS ESTATE. Update - August 2024. 256 snags reported 18 months ago. Many snags reported dozens of times, still not fixed. No customer service or after sales support. Plenty of apologies and promises to resolve snags, just very little action taken in reality. Got to know many suppliers and contractors, all say our problems are not uncommon. Hoping the sell off to Barratt might see the end of the issues, otherwise will start court proceedings as soon as we've been in for 2 years. Lovely houses, but not worth the stress and disruption. I'll add a link to our snag report if I get 500 likes. 18 months on, our advice is still - DO NOT BUY.

Honest opinion. PLOT 50 The internal works are horrendous paint work is absolutely shocking we are now paying our own guy to come and correct it. I think the worst part of the whole process is the aftercare it’s absolutely horrendous. Trying to get them back for the snags has been testing. Leaking toilets Leaking kitchen which took over 3 months to correct. I still have snags out standing which I will have to chase again. It has definitely put me off buying a new build. My friend brought a cavanna house on matford much much better finish internally which is a shame as Redrow are meant to a 5* builder!

I bought a Redrow home and had so many problems. What Redrow won’t tell you, is the quality of the build will be poor. The NHBC if you need them sides with the developer and not the buyer, so you have no protection if you should need it, check out Trust Pilot on NHBC. Also Redrow are able to buy 5 star reviews so don’t get hoodwinked into their reviews. You will have to pay a management fee, the company Redrow choose will be unregulated, loads of hidden charges and it won’t be just cutting the grass you pay for either and it can keep going up and if you refuse to pay, they can takeaway your freehold to your house. In fact to save you loads of stress, buy an older house and steer right away from a new build. Redrow are as bad as them all, even though they will tell you differently. If you do go ahead, don’t use their solicitors, pay for a snagging company and pray🥹

Moved in to St Michaels Meadow a couple of months ago, very happy with experience so far. Our professional snagger identified minor snags which the site team rectified quickly, the sales staff and site team have both been really friendly and helpful throughout the process

Bought a redrow house - over a hundred “snags”, including leaking toilet causing electric to short out , wrong colour door, wrong kitchen fitted , bad paintwork , outside slabs relaid 3 times then gave up , lights fixed to cabinets with sticky tape , bath panel hanging off , lawn badly laid, knots showing on all paintwork etc etc
