GoogleFrom start to finish The Fine and Country team were responsive, diligent and professional.
Jeff (Director) is honest, professional, experienced, informative and above all trustworthy. I knew instantly I had made the right choice to sell my home with Fine & Country.
I would like to say a special thank you to Olivia, who kept me informed and up to date on a complex sale. Her optimisium and communication helped me to stay grounded at a very stressful time.
Also a big thank you to all of Jeff's Fine and Country team. They are all committed to getting the best outcome for the vender.
I highly recommend their services.
Best wishes, Karen

GoogleWe can't praise Fine & Country Exeter enough for how they managed the sale of our property in Exeter. Everyone there was professional and thoughtful. A particular shout out to Holly Burrows who was just brilliant - she kept us updated every step of the way - even when there was no news she would call just to let us know. Her tenacity and determination to close the sale meant we didn't need to keep chasing conveyancers and the whole process went smoothly. Great work!

GoogleAs a satisfied F&C customer for over a year in EX4, I can confidently recommend their services. They are Incredibly professional, patient, and knowledgeable, making the entire process seamless. The service team (electrical, plumbing, and fire issues ) is also excellent, they are well-organized and respond quickly. I'm very happy with my experience and highly recommend F&C to anyone buying, selling, or renting a home.
And also I would like to thanks our dedicated advisor, Ms Roni, is truly professional and kind. During home inspection visit, she explained everything in detail, carefully listened to all our concerns and suggestions, and quickly arranged for a maintenance worker. Many thanks to Roni for her excellent support

GoogleOverall, really good experience with F&C, and I think it does depend on who is in contact with:
I had a very unpleasant experience with the previous manager, where I had to email several times a week and got no response at all and had to fix problems myself.
However, Isabella and Roni were very helpful and definitely reversed the whole situation. Very quick response and good communication with the landlord via them, would recommend.

GoogleFine & Country have been absoutley amazing from the start. From looking round the property, to signing the tenancy and moving in. They have kept me updated every step of the way and always checked in. They emailed upon moving in to make sure things had gone smoothly. I dealt with Roni at the letting agents and she has been an absolute star. I would recommend this letting agents to anyone.

GoogleMyself and my partner rented a flat with this agency for two years and we would not recommend them. The property was very badly managed, the lettings manager would rarely reply to our emails regarding issues with the property unless we chased her multiple times, and even then it felt like a fight for certain issues to be acknowledged let alone taken seriously - very passive aggressive in tone whenever we raised issues. We’ve managed to get our deposit back fine in the end but initially when we left they wanted to deduct money from our deposit for a 'dirty window' which wasn't dirty at all. The wooden panelling was mouldy from the fact the landlords never installed any form of ventilation, no extractor fan in the bathroom or kitchen so of course condensation and mould built up despite us regularly cleaning/bleaching it. I tried explaining this but they demanded it to be paid for. They also accused us of breaking the sink - the sink had a surface crack in the basin when we moved in. I asked for photo evidence that it hadn’t been their prior to our tenancy as the original inventory photos didn't include an image of this part of the sink, but she never sent me a photo or acknowledged it when I asked for proof a second time?? Guess you didn’t have a photo then… What’s disgusting of them though is a plumber came round to look at the bathroom last year (due to the bathroom tiles being rotted away) and told me there was a leak in the sinks base which he had told the owners about, but apparently they had no interest in replacing the sink, only the tiles surrounding it. So basically they were trying to make us replace an already faulty sink by saying we broke it… and the letting agent supported them on this. Disgraceful service, why lie and try and cover yourself?? Their inventory taking is lazy and wasn’t thorough at all yet they tried to blame us for multiple issues that were either out of our control or not caused by us in the first place. There were other multiple issues that were bordering on illegal and pure neglect. The washing machine was mouldy and unusable, the bathroom tiles were left in such poor condition from the previous occupier we were cutting our feet on them yet I was the one chasing a solution via email with the lettings manager as she didn’t seem to care - looking back at our emails I emailed three times in a week practically begging for a resolution but had no reply. The mould issue was also brushed off multiple times so we ended up having to manage it ourselves with anti mould paint and dehumidifiers which were only temporary fixes. Honestly the mould was so horrific, grew very quickly and was wide spread throughout the property even after proper measures were taken our end, this was never disclosed to us and looking back we know they defiantly just painted over it all before listing it. The extractor fan was also only listed as ‘broke/unresponsive’ in the inventory but after I insisted it was fixed multiple times, Tara (the letting manager) finally admitted it was only on the wall for ‘cosmetic’ purposes - it wasn’t actually a functioning fixture, it wasn’t connected to a flute to the outside, so we were completely misled on this. She then said the owner had no intention of resolving this so we were left with no extractor fan which only added to the mould problem. I would call occasionally if I wasn’t getting replies but the times I did Tara ‘wasn’t there’ but then I’d suddenly get a reply from her via email… The walls were stated as very good condition on our arrival but after moving a wardrobe out the corner we discovered the wall was thick with black mould and was wet to touch, it was absolutely disgusting. There was also a small bin left in the bathroom with a bloody tissue in it and the microwave they had left was so dirty it was actually hazardous. Honestly appalling from start to finish in hind sight, and we never had an apology from the owners or agency. From our experience the renting management side is extremely negligent and dishonest and you should avoid, God knows how Tara has a job.

GoogleMoving house in a pandemic is not an easy process both stressful and challenging however working with Jonathan Steers of Fine & Country Exeter has been a breath of fresh air, without the expertise, hard work and dedication of Jonathan we would not be moving into
Our dream forever home. After experiencing different agency’s throughout this whole process the service offered by Jonathan has been nothing but exceptional, daily contact if not hourly contact, a day has not gone by where we did not speak or he gave an update keeping us fully abreast of the process ,progress and timelines.
If your looking to sell or buy a house I highly recommend Jonathan @ F&C

GoogleAlexandra is most professional in her approach. Her communications were always detailed and prompt. She has kept me fully informed at all times, which especially for an expat returning to live in the UK has been a huge help. Whilst I appreciate the fact that she is essentially working for the vendor she has treated me as the purchaser as though I am her only client. Top marks. I have no hesitation in recommending both Alexandra and Fine & Country Exeter.

TrustpilotAn excellent service from start to completion
Fine and Country have just sold our house in Wales. We found their service excellent. Gareth conducted the viewings and always informed us that he was there ready for the clients viewing. He also gave us feedback directly after the viewing. He was always professional, positive and polite. Fine and Country Wales also used a company ASAP who followed through with buyers and both parties solicitors. This kept us informed daily at the progress of the sale. I could not recommend Fine and Country enough. Excellent service, excellent people. Thank you.

TrustpilotDisappointed
I have been pondering completing this review for several weeks and have now decided that I really ought to do so. We instructed your agent Pip Holden to sell our property for us in August 2023, I actually sought her out as we were very impressed with her professionalism when she showed us around another property previously. Let me say first of all that Pip is very personable and I persuaded my husband that we should use her services.

GoogleFine and Country was the agency that followed our house purchase and we've been really pleased with the service. Jonathan has been always professional, responsive, and nice to deal with. He's never been pushy and has been transparent and honest throughout. It's sometimes hard to trust estate agents but we felt in good hands with them. We'll definitely consider them if/when we need to sell.

GoogleI have had the experience of renting with many estate agents, and Fine and Country are without question the best I have worked with. They are always so polite, responsive, eager to help and an absolute joy to work with. Often they go above and beyond to help, and Isabelle in particular is an absolute angel and a credit to her profession. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

GoogleWe've had a fantastic experience with Isabelle as our estate agent. She’s been incredibly responsive, helpful, and proactive in getting things done. Since taking over from the previous agent, who unfortunately left many things unresolved, Isabelle has really turned things around.
Before she stepped in, we struggled for months with poor communication and delays; it took the previous agent over six months to sort out some basic issues in the flat. But with Isabelle, it’s been a completely different experience. She’s quick to respond, follows through on everything, and genuinely makes you feel like you’re being looked after.
It’s been such a relief to have someone so professional and reliable managing the property. Highly recommend working with her!

GoogleCurrently renting through F&C and so far the experience has been very pleasant.
Minor issues (that are standard with renting) have been resolved immediately, fantastic communication from both Isabelle and Roni, and the communication between them and the landlord is super fast and efficient too.
Very happy so far with everything and would definitely recommend them from the rental side!!

GoogleFine & Country helped us immensely. We first met Isabelle who explained everything about what we had to do to enable them to rent out the house. After that they took care of everything and continued to do so throughout the time we were letting the house. They give you complete peace of mind and they make sure the tenants are both compliant with their obligations but also that they were happy and everything about the house was kept in good shape. Isabelle communicated very quickly when we needed anything & sent through anything we needed straight away. When it came to needing to end the arrangement they were thoroughly professional enabling a smooth transition with everything taken care of.

GoogleDon't maintain the property im in and do the bare minimum and expect the rent still!. Took over a year to rectify a leaking roof. Kept passing the buck to my equally inept landlord. Rude staff,
don't answer emails, ended up contacting environmental health. Paid twice out of my own pocket, once for a leaking roof with water
pouring in my living room through an electrical fitting to be told by the delightful Tara that there was nothing she could do right then!!, managed to get hold of my own roofer that evening who has since told me what a nightmare my landlord was etc to work with. Was told a surveyor needed to come into look at the property to refinance by tara for the roof work , however found out it was to look at the roof to override three roofers who said it needed condemning!!Absolutely appalling!. I'm sure they would tell you another story, however i have the paper trail of said emails etc. Do better. Interestingly I note the other bad review is due to non contact, not very courteous is it.

GoogleWe have used Fine & Country Exeter (previously Dormans Lettings) to look after three rental properties in Pinhoe, Exeter for about 15 years. They have provided excellent service and are very easy to deal with being both professional and friendly. If a property has become vacant they have always found a new suitable tenant quickly. They also have a good tradespeople on hand to resolve any problems promptly that may arise. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Shocking that an estate agent doesn't respond to voicemail messages I've left to enquire about viewing a property that I'm interested in purchasing.
