the service at Reed rain Durham, Darlington and Leeds is an absolute sxxtshow. there's no communication and the landlord isn't kept in the loop with anything. all the staff dealing with our property are totally incompetent and useless. they pass you on to other staff as they aren't capable of sorting out the job. Happy to take your money but provide no service. go to another estate agent π

Advised terribly, advise was made for the benefit of Reeds Rains and not myself.Communication lacking.Pulled out at a cost to me.I can only tell you my experience and that is they don't care about the customer.The person advising me thought because i had to pay a fee to pull out, i would be reluctant to do it. There is no chance I would let them sell my house after all this. And on that, i have spoken to someone else who said they were trying to sell a house for nearly a year without success using Reed Rains, they went elsewhere and it sold after a week.You live and learn...

The entire team at Crossgates were brilliant, especially James Walker- lettings manager. James went above and beyond to help us to find a property to let when the landlord of our previous property decided to sell. He's been an absolute star, this is the 2nd property that we have rented from Reeds Rain and James has overseen both lets and managed both tenancy's. This was cumbersome and unnecessary made a very difficult process. I was a guarantor. Then I needed a reference from my employer. I have to submit taxes. Totally crazy. I have no idea how this people can even rent one house. If I wasnβt doing it for my loved one I would totally go somewhere else. They need to tone it down. Pure nonsense. Scary stuff

Had a nightmare scenario recently in that had to find a new house to let asap but was really struggling !!!!Thank goodness for REEDS RAINS (Wakefield) who despite my panic, frustrations, worries and cock-ups providing the correct info, really did save the day !!!They found me and my partner the perfect rental, steered us through all the process, alleviated all my worries/stresses and got us settled in before our own "D-day" deadline !!! π An absolute MASSIVE thank you to all the staff at the Wakefield Branch, in particular Claire Evans who kept us calm during our panic stricken moments and steered us through the whole process from start to finish. Thank you Claire, your a star β!!!! Also many thanks to Sam and Myles for their help too. Cannot recommend them enough, so if you are looking to buy or rent give them a shout, I'm glad we did !!!!!!

Absolutely furious with the lack of customer service. I was sold an auction property by Lisa Sharpe - told there was a tenant in there for the next year, and that rental would be taken care of. She lied, tenant was moving that week. I bought in June - still not completed due to buyers solicitor not sending accurate information and ignoring my solicitors emails

As a first time buyer, to be told the wrong completion date from Zoe was annoying.The day before I phoned to say I doubt thatβs happening as our solicitors havenβt said it will be.They still told us we will be moving in.This is because Reeds Rains Solicitors sent out the paperwork too soon to the sellers and dragged it out for 3 weeks sending us our paperwork that we needed.

So incredibly grateful that we have Alison Whiteside on our team. We had a really long, tough battle on our hands with many issues, however Alison was always on the other end of the phone to offer her help and reassurance. She fought our battles for us, she made us feel like we weren't a nuisance. I cant thank Alison at Reeds Rains Bamber Bridge enough. This is the lady you need on your team! Still have received my deposit after 3 months of vacating one of reed Rains properties. I have gone through mydeposits Dispute and the agency was ordered them to pay back the deposit a few weeks ago, but no payments have been made. I have made complaint to the property Ombudsman and the national trading standards estates and letting agency team, in preparation to take it to court. I don't understand why they are stalling and the constant lies whenever you speak to someone on the phoneNoma

0 stars or less. Complaints department is pretty useless. Unfortunately I donβt think there is a complaints procedure about a complaint against the complaints department. Woman answered like a teenager with a bad attitude sounded immediately like she was up for an argument, to call her a manager in this field is degrading to those who are that actual profession. Had a lot of wrong information. Not professional, being advised that my out look on life needs to change and simply siding with the landlord on every front no professional phone etiquette. Being told my complaint to save Β£100 was ridiculous, Completely uneducated in contract law, but adamant that she was correct and everything I did say that was clearly correct got responded to with a βyeah, butβ¦β, no sign of taking responsibility,admission or apology when they are incorrect about something. Not sure if she has been trained in how to deal with customers with complaints, almost as if she expected me to be happy about making a complaint. Needs further training.

Requested repairs to the property that I was renting in multiple occasions, never happened, and currently 3 weeks after moving out and still have not received my deposit back and can't seem to get a straight answer. The flat was dirty when I moved in, I cleaned from top to bottom when I moved out including shampooing and wet vac to carpets. it was way cleaner than when I moved in. Yet still won't return my deposit. Leaving me struggling to pay my bills, fuel my car and buy food.Thanks for putting me in this situation.Plus when the flat was for sale whilst I was a tenant, I found out when they booked a viewing! I wasn't even informed it was for sale.*Update*Further information provided as requested and no response from them since.

If there is a minus one million star, I would definitely give it to Reeds Rains, which is the most gross company in the UK from the start of the universe. How tolerant the britons can be to let this kind of company last for more than 150 years. After I became a tenant, the emails from them read like it was from a concentrate of Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un. I have requested to add another name to my renewed contract. After 6 months they told me they forgot it and asked me to provide the info about the name of my renewed contract so they can carry out some other procedures (Yes, still not care about my request). Three days later, their aggressive and unprofessional staff blamed me for not providing information and threatened to make it worse. I f**king have a life,I am not some simpy who checks email boxes every day just for your emails. Of course I replied aggressively as well. And they didnβt offer any apologies. Well, it is not worth complaining like this if the story just stops here. Months later, their regular inspector came and inspected this house, which was smooth and there was a small issue. The inspector didnβt mention it needs to be replaced, and all I need to do is to use bleach to clean it. However, another aggressive and unprofessional c*nt dropped me an email and threatened me that they would tell the landlord and they want me to replace the whole thing, which was restored to the original state by bleach and didnβt take me 5 minutes. This time I did not send aggressive emails again, because all people in this company are like this. There is no reason to argue with c*nts. I have just told them I would leave and found myself another place to live. So dear reader, if you have already taken so much time to read my comment, why not take my advice as well, βRun, Forest runβ. THIS COMPANY IS ON MY BLACKLIST FOREVER!!

GoogleUnprofessional and rude, would no recommend. Appalling experience with this estate agent and especially their Director is one of the rudest men I have ever dealt with. Avoid like the plague!
