Thank you for bringing your feelings to our attention, and we offer our apologies if the manner in which you were given the result of your viewing from our staff member has offended you. It may have appeared that she was flustered, and changing her response, but I would suggest that this was because she had only recently started with our company, had not carried out the viewings herself, the chosen tenants had not, at that point paid the holding deposit, so it was a little earlier than we would normally advise the other applicants of the decision as to who was going to be put forward, and for no other reason.
We consider out tenants to be our future landlords, and strive to treat them in the same open and honest manner as our landlords.
We would therefore like to clarify the scenario from our perspective.
You had not 'applied' for the property, as explained at the viewings a number of people were to be put forward to the landlord for consideration, of which you were one. All landlords (and their agents) will be looking for the best security (in terms of employment) and the potential least wear on the property in terms of number of occupants and pets.
Unfortunately, in this instance you were not successful, along with several others.
As an award winning industry leader, it was concerning to hear at your viewing that you had heard nothing back from your previous three 'applications' via other agents, and disappointing that having listened to this dissatisfaction, and ensured you were given a response you have chosen to provide negative feedback.
We are aware that competition for available properties is very high at the moment, and are always disappointed when we are not able to take all applicants forward to a tenancy, but wish you well with your future search.

GoogleOur housing association uses Oswick surveyors by default for their valuations. Me and my partner were very tight for time whereby we needed our property valued as soon as possible, with reports filed. We were so tight for time that we decided bypass our housing association and contact Oswicks directly to inform them of our situation. They called on the Friday and came out on Tuesday. They really did appreciate and understand our circumstances, and demonstrated that by having a surveyor sent out promptly. Great customer service all round, especially from Director Damian. Will recommend!
