Warning - avoid this company at all costs!!

Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.

Gascoigne Pees have been quite outstanding at taking care of us from start to finish. Leo has been our point of contact throughout and he has kept us informed and has been thoroughly professional through every up and down. We put our house up for sale in December 2019 knowing that we didn't want to move until March 2021. Little did we realise when we put the house on the market that Covid was around the corner. This meant that our buyers pulled out due to loss of work and yet through all of this Leo has been calm and reassuring. We have completed the sale today and we cannot recommend this agency enough. It was a little unnerving with all the different permutations and handling viewings through Covid but Leo kept in touch with us, keeping us informed, his communication was excellent. I find it almost laughable how this…

I find it almost laughable how this letting agency behaves. When you’re signing a contract, they bend over backwards to act friendly and helpful, but the second you’re moving out, the entire façade collapses. Their true colors show, and suddenly you’re dealing with rudeness, attitude, and a complete lack of basic professionalism. My experience with this agency at the end of my tenancy was extremely negative, and one staff member in particular, Freya, made the situation even worse. In my opinion, she spoke to me with absolutely no respect and seemed to think that talking to tenants in a dismissive, condescending manner was acceptable. From my interaction with her, it’s clear she has a lot to learn about how to communicate professionally. Some of the comments she made were completely unnecessary, and honestly, she would benefit from learning when it’s better to keep certain remarks to herself rather than speaking to people the way she did. This kind of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing role, and I strongly believe she needs proper customer service training. My overall impression is that she is not equipped to speak with tenants in a respectful or professional way, and that absolutely needs to be addressed. No member of staff has the right to speak to me the way she did. Because of this, I will be taking this complaint further through the appropriate channels, and I will be sharing my experience publicly so other tenants are aware of how they may be treated. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I refuse to let it go unaddressed.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The property was online within a couple of days of Zoe's initial visit, viewings were booked quickly but with consideration of our schedule - with Kim helping us at all stages of the sale too. Janene was also extremely helpful in chasing all parts of our chain to ensure we completed as fast as possible, keeping everyone up to date with the process. Ed was also really helpful and guided us through all of the paperwork, answering any questions we had with as much detail as possible to help us make the right decision for us. All in all we would definitely recommend the team at Chessington - we can't thank them enough for all of their hard work and perseverance!

Excellent Sales Team

Right from the start we felt comfortable, the team were really friendly and knowledgeable. Jim Gordon in particular was very helpful and great to talk to, we couldn't have done it without him. The photographer took stunning photos which really showed off the features of the house. We decided to go with an open day, which was fully booked within 24 hours of advertising.Of those who veiwed the house, more than half put in offers. The team did an excellent job of keeping us informed and guiding us through the process.The house was SSTC within a week.We had issues with the solicitors, Jim went above and beyond to help keep momentum to see us through to completion.The fees were reasonable and competitive, especially given the level of service we recieved.Overall, the Gascoigne-Pees Sales Team really do believe that fostering good relationships with their clients is the key to success, making the time and effort to put them first, keep them at ease during one of the most stressful processes, and always giving the best advice.

I don’t even know which branch I’m with…

I don’t even know which branch I’m with but they’ve charged me £50 for the privilege of changing the date I pay my rent as there has been a company take over at work and will now receive my pay on a different date! Oh, they did try to charge £60 until I mentioned the Tenants Fees act of 2019 which states that it is illegal to charge more than £50 to make a date change! Their excuse was they miscalculated the tax!!!! Ffs! I actually can’t even be bothered to try and explain how else they’ve been awful and stupidly hard to get a hold of. Avoid!!!!!
