The Clever experience exceeded my…

The Clever experience exceeded my expectations from beginning to end. Within a few minutes of submitting my application to Clever, several agents contacted me. I interviewed several agents referred by Clever as well as traditional (3% commission) agents I found on my own. Ultimately I settled on Clever-agent, Karyl Allen. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and energetic. Since this was an estate sale and I lived out-of-state, Karyl went above and beyond to take care of all the details to ensure a smooth process. I have bought and sold many houses in my life, but Karyl Allen is the best agent I have ever met, bar none.

Great experience with selling my house…

Great experience with selling my house in Alabama. There are a lot of crooks and rip off artists in Alabama if you aren't from there or aren't kin folk. I had quotes as high as 3.0% to SELL my house ! I ended up selling with a great realtor named Leena Jacobs who was incredible and had great communication along the way. She earned every penny. Thanks Clever for giving me access to a great realtor and saving me many thousands $$$ of dollars!

High Quality Services At A Lower Price

Clever linked me up with a very high-quality agent in my area, who gave me all of the skills and expertise she gives all of her clients (not just her non-Clever clients). And a significant amount of my agent contact was after I had already relocated to the opposite coast. (My townhome did not go on the market until I had moved out of it.) What I was hoping for from Clever was an excellent agent at a lower cost. I feel like I experienced the best of both worlds in the sale of my townhome.

Super easy home sale process

I went searching for help getting my mom's house sold. I've bought and sold my own homes before through realtors as well as companies that do the buying and selling. Clever was new to me and I figured I'd take a chance. The speed in which I was connected to a realtor who knew her neighborhood was impressive. However, Melissa, our realtor was amazing. She worked with us every step of the way. She kept me informed of what was happening, she helped us decide the type of sale we wanted, worked with us on timing and staging, you name it. Even on the day of closing, she was in contact with me by text because I was out of the area and let me know how things were going. I couldn't have asked for more.

Try Clever Real Estate it’s Great!

My husband and I didn’t know what real estate to choose when we put our house up for sale there are so many. As I was browsing on-line for real estate companies and agents I came upon “Clever” and it caught my eye as I had never heard of them before. I read some stuff I liked, but what perked my attention was that you pay your real estate agent only 1% instead of the higher rates that are usually charged. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try so I did. I filled out some easy questions on-line and my information went out to real estate agents in my area that work with Clever. Within minutes a real estate agent called and I took her call. There were other agents that called and emailed also but I picked the first one. We met our real estate agent in person and we liked her right away and she answered all our questions about selling our home and about Clever. We put our house on the market a couple months later and our real estate agent was great through the whole process. We sold our house and saved a lot of money at closing. I would recommend Clever Real Estate for anyone interested in buying or selling! We had a great experience.

Great realtor - Well worth the commission!

I'm a lawyer and have handled my own real estate sales in the past, but decided to give Clever a try with their reduced commission. I was referred to Kyle, who was very savvy about the local housing market and adept at stirring up a lot of interest several days before actually listing the house. Had tremendous traffic the very first day and a signed contract within 24 hours for nearly 10% over asking price. Kyle was easy to contact and followed through on everything that came up before closing. I believe the net proceeds after commission exceeded what I would have gotten if I had sold it myself, plus it saved me a lot of work. Well worth it for me!

Working with Clever

When our father told us it was time to sell his beloved house, my sister and I knew it was going to be an emotional experience, and somewhat difficult because we both live out of state. We knew we needed to find just the right realtor who could help us through the process. We interviewed eight realtors over the phone before narrowing down our list to four in-person interviews. I remember asking my sister what she thought of Kathy right after meeting her, and she said, “She’s great! I think we found our agent.” Since the first day of choosing Kathy (from Clever) as our realtor, she has been an outstanding person to work with and get to know. There is nothing artificial about Kathy; she is warm, genuine, professional, thoughtful, thorough, and truly caring. Our dad is tough to please, and she made him feel quite comfortable through the whole process of letting go of something that meant so much to him. Kathy always responded quickly to our questions, no matter the time of day, and clearly explained each step of the selling process. She made us feel that she was on our side taking care of things for us, and that we didn’t need to worry about anything. We were concerned that we might receive a lesser quality of service by using Clever, since the listing realtor receives less commission, but that was simply not the case. We feel extremely lucky to have chosen Kathy from Clever, and very satisfied with the final results. She worked hard for us in every respect. I would use Clever again with no hesitation.

From start to finish, Clever was there.Clever matched me with three knowledgeable agents, and I felt a connection with one of them instantly. Even though my home was far from show ready when I started my process, the agent wasn't deterred. My agent, Jon Granlund, was extremely communicative throughout the process and struck a balance between persistent and laid back which I appreciated. This was my first home sale, so knowing that my agent was backed by a company like Clever gave me peace of mind. We put the house up on a Thursday, received our first offer on Saturday night, a couple more on Sunday, and I accepted an offer on Monday. I couldn't believe how fast the process was. Throughout the home sale process, Clever agents checked in and made themselves available if I had any questions. My mother is now selling her home and I have recommended Clever to her!

Clever came through

(updated; there was a miscommunication issue and they resolved it 100%!)I would definitely recommend using them. I had gone through several (SEVERAL) different realtors over 2+ years (2019-2022) trying to buy a home to move out of state. Every single one of them did nothing but send me emails of listings. When I wanted to view a property...crickets, or they took so long to reply that the property was already pending. With the housing situation as it was, if you couldn't view a property "yesterday" it would be gone. I had given up on all of them, and in my search for yet another new buyers agent, found Clever and called. They gave me 3 referrals, one of which was a realtor I had already given up on! He did call me from that referral, so I hesitantly gave him another chance and he actually turned out to be the best damn realtor I've ever had. Going forward I won't use anyone else! I don't know if maybe he thought I wasn't serious before, or what the issue was, but it was like a 180* change in results. He became super responsive, and I was able to view, offer, and purchase the perfectly-located home within a few months, after looking for years. This specific property, from inquiry to offer within 2 days. Mine is admittedly a rare situation, buying a home from across the country, but Clever came through for me and I am grateful for that.

He made us feel completely confident about the sale of our house in Ormond Beach. Great experience selling our home

It was a tough sale that took a while given the current market, high interest rates and the fact that our home was not updated to current trends/tastes. Found our forever Home Remotely

We were shopping via the internet and heavily needed to rely on support from our Realtor Dee Corbett. She worked with us as we narrowed down the exact city we wanted to relocate to... Dee and her team accommodated our unique needs and circumstances. We finally settled for a home in the city of Pepper Pike, Ohio. Areas that had a negative impacted on our home purchasing experience were: 1) Time zone differences which sometimes impacted our ability to get quick answers necessary. 2) The Sellers wanted a non traditional "As-is" Sale; this made the negotiating challenging and emotionally taxing. We definitely could have used a more guidance to help us and the seller anticipate the chain reaction that would arise as a result of the contract extensions etc. The lack of clarity on how these issues impacted the original closing date, negatively impacted our renovation loan program that we were building into our Mortgage... Other than that the overall experience was professional and accommodated our unique remote location & needs.

Clever connected us with an excellent…

Clever connected us with an excellent realtor in the Twin Cities area, and we were able to sell our home within three days of it being on the market for 20K above our asking price. We were able to recover most of the money we had spent on a down payment and closing costs when buying the house less than a year before selling it due to relocation. We were concerned we would lose a sizable amount of money, and our ultimate outcome far exceeded our expectations. We were originally matched with three realtors and met with all of them. Two of the three were incredibly timely in following up with us, and either would have been a good choice, but we chose the realtor that seemed to best suit our style and goals. Clever stayed in touch throughout the process, and they also provided an additional match when we weren't sure that the first two were the right fit. That third match was the realtor we went with, and he provided just the support that we needed throughout the stressful process of selling a home. I was a bit sad for our realtor that Clever takes a cut of the commission, but it's my understanding that Clever helps realtors make up for this lower rate by increasing realtors' volume of sales through easy and fast referrals.We were somewhat concerned that the lower commission would mean lower quality service or attention from a realtor, and this was not our experience. Realtors were eager to gain exposure and reviews through Clever, and the quality of realtors we met with was excellent, with the exception of one. In this case, we were matched with the head of a firm instead of a specific realtor, and the realtor the firm assigned to us didn't strike us as a top performer, when Clever only works with top performers. However, our overall experience was excellent and I would recommend this service to others without reservation.

Clever is a place to go for your Discount Realtor

Clever is a place to go if you’re looking for a discount real estate agent. My San Antonio agent only charged a 1-1/2% sales commission instead of the customary 3% seller agent commission. Clever recommended three agents and after interviewing all three, I picked Sharlette Scott whom I thought had the best marketing plan. She thoroughly explain her marketing strategy, and kept me informed with weekly updates & showing reports (as they occurred). I listed the house with my Clever Agent, 10 days later I had a contract and I closed at the end of the month. Overall it was a great experience.

The experience was actually horrible

The experience was actually horrible, but it was not due to my realtor, Susan. Sometimes, they just go that way. Susan and I were able to work through a few rough patches to make it to a successful closing.This was a lot of work for Susan, but she worked harder than any other agent I've used- by a large margin.Susan knows how to craft a contract. She protected my interests, got me an above asking price offer, locked in penalties for cancelation, etc. In so doing, potential buyers also had something to lose if they got cold feet at the last minute.I can be a tough negotiator: I will walk away from a deal if I believe the other side is being unreasonable. That can be stressful for a realtor who makes their living when a house sells.Susan managed to survive a few such instances and kept the deal alive. She will not give up on a deal. Ever. A Great Experience For a First Time Seller.

From the time I first met our realtor, Doug Takens, until we closed on the sale, everything pertaining to the sale went quickly and seamlessly. He was very informative which was important to me because I had never been party to a home sale before. I was one of two trustees selling a home that belonged to my deceased aunt, that I had never actually lived in. We came across some hurdles pertaining to the condition of the house but Doug handled them well and walked me through what I needed to do. We sold at $40,000 over asking price which was AWESOME! I would use Doug again in a heartbeat!! Going through Clever, we saved $7000! All in all, it was a learning experience for me and a very pleasant one, thanks to Doug.
