Having bought and sold a number of properties over the last two decades, my opinion of Estate Agents generally has been average at best. Carrying out research it was clear that John Thoma had a good knowledge of local properties in the Chigwell/Loughton area and therefore knew roads and various individual homes very well. Their ability to value properties was therefore accurate but despite this their subsequent approach was not big headed. My probate property was long-winded in process but having appointed JT they were patient and not pushy. Unlike other agents and some Solicitors, they stayed in touch and their communication from initial contact with Matthew to the final sale administered by Lewis was very reassuring. Lewis even took and made calls whilst on holiday. In my experience what I sought from an agent was satisfied by JT so if you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and competitive Estate Agent I personally recommend John Thoma. My appointment of 4 stars was made in my belief that everyone can invariably do better but it is hard to think that JT could have done more in achieving my sale.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Matthew has been an absolute superstar during our property sale. It’s not been an easy transaction as we had a tricky chain involved but Matt has worked tirelessly including over holidays and days off to get the sale over the line. We were not selling in Chigwell so not in John Thoma’s usual patch but this didn’t matter one bit, Matt got viewers and offers in regardless. Matt was always at the end of the phone when we needed him and has offered sound advice. We had previously tried other local agents but as soon as the going got a bit tricky they lost interest. John Thoma and specifically Matt is the only agent I would use in the future, highly highly recommended. If you are selling in West Essex or even further afield, you’ve just found the best estate agent ever!

If this is happening from the start, I don't want to learn what happens at later stages if working with this team.

I just had to put pen to paper to register how delighted I was to use John Thoma Estate Agent. John, is a true gentleman, and leads a team by fine example. Matt, is so polite, professional, and a drone pilot any airline would be proud of. What great photos he created.
