I purchased a property through Durden & Hunt, Ongar. Jane Lewis responded to my calls without delay and there were clear lines of communication at all times. Viewings were also arranged out of office hours (even after exchange) which I very much appreciated. Jane was very approachable and professional with a good knowledge of the property. Alex dealt with the negotiations respectfully and considerately at all times. Kezia Page kept me updated on the progress of the sale along the way and was always helpful and responsive. I would buy or sell a home through the Ongar office again in the future without hesitation. There is a human element to this business which operates with respect and integrity to all parties, whether buying or selling. A very positive experience.

I had the pleasure of working with Durden and Hunt and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the very beginning, James went above and beyond as my real estate agent, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly proactive. He made the entire process of renting out the property seamless and stress-free. James was so impressive that I ended up getting him a bottle of wine as a small thank you, I hope he enjoyed it because he truly earned it! Jane, the administrator, was equally fantastic. She was attentive, efficient, and handled all the booking and paperwork details with such care and precision, it made a world of difference. A special mention also goes to the photographer (whose name I can’t recall, but wish I could!), he was brilliant. Professional, creative, and clearly experienced, he really captured the property beautifully and helped present it in the best possible light. I bought a house through Durden & Hunt in September this year. The process was easy and the staff were very helpful. James was the agent and Amanda was the sales progressor. James was very approachable and friendly and we never felt like he was trying to oversell or push us into making a decision, he gave us plenty of time to make decisions and was happy to take us for repeat viewings. Amanda was a fantastic sales progressor, she would chase almost daily (which is a good thing) and I really felt confident that she wanted to get things moved as quickly as possible. In the end I think we managed to get from offer to exchange in about 9 weeks which is pretty good going. I would thoroughly recommend using them in the area as I did not have close to the same sales experience with other larger agents in the area.

We put our house on the market in October 22, between then and March 23 we tried 2 different estate agents and had a grand total of 5 viewings. We recently sold out home through Durden and Hunt and I can say that the service they provided from start to finish does not compare to any other estate agent that we have dealt with. We requested a valuation from Alex Durden and within 24 hours he visited our home, within a further 48 hours photos were taken and our home was advertised within a week. Jane Lewis handled all of our viewings and her warm and personal approach made us feel comfortable leaving our home (and keys) in her capable hands which of course led to our sale. At this point our sale was then put in the very capable hands of Kezia Page to handle the process that leads to the exchange and completion. With Kezia, we managed to meet our deadline moving date which also beat the average timescales.
