Pls avoid this estate agent in Epping Essex .we have had a very a bad experience with Douglas and Allen “they have treated us really bad they have lied to us and left us dangling on the other end when they had told us they had sold the property we wanted to buy and they excepted our offer at that time .Douglas and Allen done a dirty and kept that property we wanted to buy for some one else and made out it was sold it’s disgusting for them to treat us like this so pls do not get caught out with this agent Douglas & Allen Epping .it’s a warning to everyone .

Shockingly unprofessional and ruled by greed.

Absolutely shocking treatment from Douglas Allen Branch in Loughton. I had my property listed with them for a number of months last year without the property selling. I was moving to another agent in January but stuck with them at their insistence and their promise that they would do everything to sell my home. By March, still no sale and, despite frequent emails and calls to their manager, no one responded. The 'apparent' cancellation of three prospective viewings the first week in March was the last straw, resulting in me withdrawing my property from sale with them and moving to another local agent. that agent sold my property in the first week, but greedy, useless Douglas Allen decided that they wanted the commission on the sale, although they had absolutely nothing at all to do with the buyer or the sale. They finally got in touch and then called me every day for their commission when I had no response before to my emails for three months. They sent me legal letters insisting I paid them the commission, so, eventually I had to withdraw my property from sale. I lost my house sale and the first-time buyers who were purchasing my property lost their ideal starter home. Greed and avarice from Douglas Allen seeking payment for their ineptitude and greed and for doing absolutely nothing. This is exactly the unscrupulous, greedy practice that gives the property industry such a bad name. Outrageous.

Amazing service and assistance.

The Lettings Manager Joanna Martin went above and beyond to help myself and my children when became homeless in January 2022. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we ended up in a womens refuge because other agents were unable to help or even try to help. Thanks to Joanna we stayed in the hostel for less than 3 weeks as she managed to find a Landlord who would rent a property to us. I wish there were more agents out there like Joanna, I will be eternally grateful.

Maureen and her Team in the East Ham Branch were all excellent and very professional. Hasan dealt with any queries I had promptly, as did Rosalie. I was kept informed at all times in what can be a very stressful time. This was the second time my family have used this branch and both times the service was above and beyond of what was expected. Douglas Allen Loughton team sold my flat recently. Luke was professional / knows the area and was available when required. Ellie was a master negotiator and wonderful as she managed to sell the property in 1st viewing. But selling a property is a lengthy process, waiting for searches, surveys etc. and for that Douglas Allen have a special department. Tina was awesome, calm and a problem solver. She pushed the other side and in some cases my side and made them walk step by step. The property wouldn't have completed without her. In all, all 3 are 5*
