We like to use local companies and we were not disappointed, David Clark offered a very bespoke and personal service from the start. Our property was marketed at a realistic selling price and we received 2 offers on the first day it went on the market! Both Barbara and Aimee were professional, courteous and helpful and made the selling process a pleasure. We would highly recommend using David Clark if you are selling your home in the Ely area.

We were very happy with David and the service he provided. However David's personal high standards were not always replicated when dealing with his office staff. Emails sent asking for help and advice were often not replied too. Telephone conversations were quite negative and non supportive when trying to aim for deadlines. As our acting estate agent except for David coming round personally we had no other contact whatsoever and felt very much on our own when dealing with solicitors, surveyors, structural engineers etc.
We sold another property at a similar time in the Peterborough area and had lots of support, encouragement and updates from our estate agents via email and telephone. Therefore in comparison the service provided by David Clark was severely lacking in many areas.

Hi Jan, thanks for taking the time to post a review and I will discuss your comments with the team. As you can see from the other comments on this site we generally "get it right" most of the time. Your particular transaction went through very rapidly: offer on 2nd November, to sale agreed on the 8th November to exchange and completion on 22nd December. I was made aware of the survey hiccup and called to see if we could offer any help and suggested contacting an engineer we knew. The result was that some work needed doing which only you could authorise so I accept you may have felt on your own. We will take a look at the reporting processes going forward. Looking at the available estate agents in Ely, i'd go back to David Clark every time.
It's a very straightforward, open and honest process from start to finish not to mentioned friendly.
Our house move was a very slow process (not the fault of David Clark). From start to finish we were kept updated and they worked very hard to keep all the parties pushing along. They we great at every stage !
Another thing to note is that they had time for us. whether phoning or popping in, they are always there and able to help. No fobbin off, no long waits,

Estate agents generally get a bad press. David Clark and Co .must be the exception to the rule. I dealt with them as a buyer, when they impressed me.. As a result of that I decided to market my property with them when it came to selling.. Their, sensible advice, attention to detail, professional and friendly customer service can't be faulted. I would highly recommend them..
