Tom Willing is fantastic

Tom Willing has been fantastic, and I'm delighted he was the agent for a flat I bought in May 2022. I was focused on one property, but Tom made sure I compared the market by looking at other options, and this was appreciated. The 'making an offer' process wasn't stressful, and I felt very comfortable based on Tom's professionalism. Tom's replies to emails have always been thoughtful, complete and progress the purchase. I was a complicated buyer, an overseas resident wanting to purchase a flat for personal use (not BTL). Not a typical transaction. Tom suggested both a specialist mortgage broker and a local solicitor, and both have delighted to no end. The broker locked in a 5-year deal at a ridiculously low rate whilst managing the approval process patiently. The solicitor's attention to detail and thoroughness made me wonder about the recovery they make, given they charge such a modest fee. I have worked with others in these fields before - none are like those Tom suggested. The deal would have fallen over had Tom not suggested both of these people (after my efforts objectively lacked grunt). Tom's invaluable experience and focus on successful outcomes is something you don't find often. The experience with Tom and Savills, in general, has been excellent, and I now understand why the company has the reputation it does.

During Rental Period

My review is based explicitly on my interaction with the Savills team during the rental period. We have worked with Ritesh over the last year, and he has been phenomenal. Very responsive and also a great mediator between us and the landlord. There were some issues with our flat that the sales team did not take care of before our rental started; however, Ritesh was on top of it once we moved in.

Sale of Flat in Battersea

We worked with Tessa on the sale of our flat and she was great. Her and the team made it very quick and easy to get the property on the market and were very diligent in communicating with us throughout the process. They got us a good offer incredibly quickly. Tessa really came into her own during the conveyancing process where she was always available and did a fantastic job of shepherding the sale process along. I just wanted to say that by far Paige Ford MARLA is the best! She was so thorough and genuinely such a lovely person! I was nervous about the whole process and put my mind at ease instantly as she expressed so much knowledge about the area and made every step of the way flow just right! Excellent service. We placed the property on the market with two agents; Savills were much more professional and had far superior particulars and website. They took notice of our instructions and produced the best offers. We asked for offers over a figure and Savills produced them; the other agents appeared to ask for offers in the region of our figure and their offers were all under the figure we sought. I would use Savills again and recommend them to others. David Broomfield is very professional and a delight to deal with.

My experience with Victoria Short of Savills, Stamford exceeded all my expectations. Disappointingly, the seller and our solicitors, were not prepared to put their full weight behind enabling me to purchasing a property in Rutland showing no sense of urgency. In fact, apathy and incompetence best describe the purchasing environment. Not perturbed, Victoria swiftly identified the strengths and weaknesses of those involved and formed a strategy of imposing relentless pressure on all fronts - realising that this was the only way forward. This strategy and her communication skills, both in the spoken and written word, coupled with her ability to quickly identify the best way forward in addressing each and every obstacle, and they appeared endless, gave her all the opportunity she needed to demonstrate her brilliant communication skills. Her dominance was so impressive that all parties seemed only prepared to move, in any meaningful direction, on her say so. Without Victoria at the ‘helm’ the process would have become so protracted the sale may well not have come to fruition for their were many times when I had lost all patience that my willingness to move forward was waning. I cannot thank Victoria enough for her performance. Anthony, Kelly and Felix were all a pleasure to deal with. I'm a landlord with over 10 years experience and all those mentioned were professional, responsive and helpful in my dealings with them. In particular, Anthony conducted seven viewings on a single packed day and I received an email from him the next morning with four offers over asking, presented in a digestible format with his thoughts on each - the first time anyone has taken the trouble to do this. Also, he doesn't call you "mate" and chew gum, which is a bonus!

My sale was handled by Savills in Marlow and in particular Mairead Monsen who was everything you could ask for from an agent selling your property. All the viewings were handled professionally and feedback was forthcoming after each visit. Once the buyer had made an offer Mairead was a reliable and diligent negotiator who helped bring the sale to a close. In the interim period until completion Mairead continued to be the main contact to resolve any issues and see the sale through to a satisfactory conclusion. I recently used Savills to sell my house. Jon Lacey was my primary contact and he was excellent. Prior to getting an offer he kpt me well informed of progress including feedback on all viewings. When we had an offer made he was proactive in handling it and negotiating an improved offer which I then accepted. I was incredibly impressed with the service that Savills offered. They sold our house within 3 months and I felt well informed at every stage. Troy from the Bristol office did a brilliant job. He conducted a thorough appraisal and valuation of our property and had expert knowledge of our local area. His report also gave a clear marketing strategy which provided brilliant results. The marketing particulars produced were excellent and the viewings were conducted during times that worked well for us. Cannot recommend Jamie Carter & every member of his team highly enough. Their forthright manner was perfect. They were professional, courteous, honest, truthful, direct & all so delightful to work with. We enjoyed every minute of the sales process with them & a little sad when the sale was completed if we are honest. Perfect consistency throughout, didn’t matter if a team member was on holiday or day off. It must make a difference with the office sharing commission as apposed to one particular sales person. Certainly a plus if one is comparing agents. Wasn’t the reason we chose Savills. The helpfulness & friendliness of Alison in the office, when we made the initial call & meeting Jamie when he came to value, no contest. I deliberated about moving from another local and high profile estate agent in Maida Vale/Little Venice to Savills, when my property came up for its rental renewal but I am delighted I took the plunge. Luke and his team at Savills have been so attentive to all my needs as well as of those of my new tenants. Sometimes I find estate agents favour the tenants over the landlords, however Savills were well balanced in their recommendations and advice. They were extremely professional in all their dealings and went above and beyond to help us even with some last minute building issues. Luke, in particular, was always easy to get hold of and followed up everything personally to ensure everything ran smoothly.
