We have had such a bad experience with John D Wood in Battersea. Their lettings team doesn’t respond to e-mails, paperwork is done incorrectly, keys for our house weren’t accounted for. The management of this office is equally as diabolical and I would steer clear of using them in any capacity.

First time buyer - just completed on the purchase and have moved in.My experience with Andrina Craig of John D Woods had been outstanding from start to finish. She was warm and personable, in which I felt comfortable in being honest with her regarding my thoughts and questions. She assisted me with all queries from the very start, in which I had many as you’d expect from a first time buyer. Andrina had made my experience a highly pleasant one in which I felt reassured until the end. I honestly am so thankful that she was in charge of my property purchase. Now that it’s completed, I can be genuine with this review. Andrina was amazing. I don’t really know what else to say. Great overall experience when renting a flat in Fulham through John D Wood.Eduard Popa was extremely helpful with my flat search. He was able to address all questions about the property I was inquiring about in a very professional and reliable manner.Finding a flat in February 2022 when most companies and universities are asking people to come back to London had become an impossible mission, taking most of my evenings and weekends.I walked into John D Wood at 10am on a Saturday, and by 2.30pm, my offer had been accepted and one week deposit paid to secure the property. Eduard removed the property from the website in front of me to avoid any future misunderstandings. The rest of the team were really helpful in the following days as we worked through the references process and the tenancy agreement.Eduard, Abigail and Lola, a team of superstars at John D Wood Fulham!I definitely recommend this team to anyone looking for a flat in Fulham.

I would like to put 0 or less but it’s not possible, the estate agent John D Wood in Weybridge it’s a joke so unprofessional, ignoring customers after paying the deposit, only to don’t return them back with the pathetic excuse (Tegan Ellis).I don’t understand how can existing on the market the estate agency like this one , with so many 1 star reviews, apparently they try to take advantage and don’t return the money because I’m foreigner .Giorgio Mitu

TrustpilotJDW LETTINGS DEPT HIGH ST WIMBLEDON - AVOID
The head of lettings in Wimbledon High Street cold-called me for months promising me she had corporate clients for my property, this was an untruth. From October to December, she tried to coerce me into dropping the price, advising me the 'market was particularly quiet' (old gem used by agents trying to scaremonger you into submission' I made two formal written complaints about this lady AC, and they were to respond to as per JDW's website statements. AC then tried to force me to accept two out of four tenants whose references were sketchy (one has only joined his company and the other was a Temp). AC then tried to coerce me into accepting tenants and rush through a gas safety cert which the company JDW recommended failed on my property (this later proved to be a false failed GSC). Out of the blue, I was asked to make my complaint to AC who responded to a complaint about herself!!!!! She then sent me an invoice for the rent for four tenants who have never entered the property and had failed references that were turned down. AC is. a bully whose sharp practice is supported by Ms Haskins another employee who is trying to coerce money from me on false pretences. I am outing this company.Normally I would respond.. however it did not end there, AC’s dept head from JDW HQ then started to bully me demanding I pay them one years rent even though no transaction or tenant was supplied ( due to FAKE references). The bullied me to the point of a breakdown! This company knowingly lied to me- tried to brush over trying to take 12 mo the fees and simply kept badgering me up to recently.

Just to update my last comment - as a landlord I'm now told by J D Wood that I am tied into them and therefore paying them until my tenant leaves, whenever that is. My excellent tenant will have to leave in July and start again to get away from this un professional company. Unfair on him and his family as I'm a good landlord trapped by an appalling, greedy bunch.Landlords beware - even if J D Wood don't pay you in timely fashion you are tied to them, so they claim. I'm taking this to Radio 4 You and Yours because I just want nothing more to do with them. Being a trusting person I tried to negotiate an amicable agreement but the greedies kept lying to me! Turns out when I checked T and C’s that they have actually being lying to me and I can release myself from the contract by giving 3 months notice. I have a recording of Bea Piazza telling me I’m tied in until my tenant leaves even after this was pointed out to her. She is a very greedy liar, lied constantly to me about the contract T’s and C’s and also about my client. This has caused an immense amount of stress and wasted a huge amount of time. This is obviously company policy - you have been warned…

TrustpilotIndividual excellence let down by lazy communication and poor tenant management
While there are pockets of excellent service and friendly staff at JDW, overall our tenancy management experience was “hands off” at best and irresponsibly poor at worst. We had multiple managing agents throughout our three year tenancy, but nobody bothered to inform us when our point of contact would change, I only found out when emails would bounce. The landlord even switched away from agent management and nobody bothered to tell me that either. When I’d call for tenancy queries our initial managing agents were helpful, but others almost made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. This isn’t to take away from great letting agents and certain great staff, but overall experience and keeping tenants informed leaves a lot to be desired.

I’ve worked with Rupert, Ellie & Zara at the Notting Hill branch of John D Wood for a number of years. It’s so refreshing to work with agents that really care about the entire letting process & not just getting the contract signed! Their due diligence is second to none & they actually do what they say they are going to do! I recommend these guys to anyone who listens because it’s hard to find people like this in the industry.

The Battersea Team were brilliant to deal with in the sale of our property. Fred in particular was fantastic to deal with throughout the sale process. As we were immigrating to New Zealand during the sale process and had departed the UK after accepting an offer but before exchange of contracts, Fred was exceptional with providing feedback and assisting us when opposite time zones were a challenge. I would have no hesitation recommending John D Wood to other sellers in Battersea and a big thanks to Fred for all his help!

During this difficult selling time they did everything they could to make the process work as smoothly as possible. Our experience with John D Wood was frustrating and stressful. We dealt with four different agents during our tenancy, and none resolved any issues. The checkout process was the worst - we moved out in April, but our checkout report took 10 days, and despite a professional clean, the landlord conducted another and tried to charge us.
