A Dead Straight Honest Agent

I have been a property manager for 20 years or more. My main task is looking after the maintenance of properties for absent landlords. I have proven time and time again that Hunters of Ellesmere Port are a trustworthy agency who will strive to help both tenant and landlord alike, nothing is too much trouble for them. The fees charged are very reasonable with costs being kept to a minimum. Due to this, I have often convinced owners to switch agency and never ever had a complaint at doing so. One major factor with Hunters is they will not take shortcuts or turn blind eye to a problem when reviewing a property if it is not right the landlord is told and advised on a fix. If the tenant is out of order they are told, Hunters do not take sides they are as honest as the day is long. They complete a thorough reference check and always discuss any potential issues before accepting or refusing an application.

We had so many issues

We had so many issues in our rented property and they never came and sorted them due to this we moved out. We had left our house in a very clean state and only the problems we had when we moved in had been left they tried to take our full bond off us and more. They are horrific and I wouldn’t recommend using them and I certainly won’t be ever again.

I made enquiries about a house for sale in grimsby , and received a basic could not care less email , it did not answer my question, and hastened to add they have no properties in the price range ,I WONDER WHY????very poor customer service , never again with grimsby branch . They could not even find time to put my name on emails. Thats twice in 6 months they have failed .

People be alert avoid at all cost like covid. Do not deal with the bradford shipley branch previously Bentleys. Dishonest timewasters that just do not care. They lie and cheat to impress for their own gain. Mis advice vendors to sell to buyers who are friends/associates. Dont waste your time and emotions I did. Wish I and vendors had checked the previous reviews would not have wasted time and money.

Data Breach !

I enquired about a house and have been added illegally to a mailing list. I complained and asked to be removed twice, was told they never added me (though the emails added me 1 day after my 1 ever enquiry to this company) and they have yet to remove me. Companies like this should not be trusted, they are taking your data and will spam you !

Extremely disappointing sales experience

It is a real shame when ideal opportunity to acquire a family home is missed due to errors made by an estate agent. It later transpires that vendor accepted a lower offer for the sale of his property. The real questions are; what was the cause of those errors? were they really errors? why was the lower offer accepted and higher offer rejected?

Don't use them!

We had an unpleasant experience with our local Hunters and now these pests from head office are repeatedly sending us letters urging us to let them take care of our unsold property. We wouldn't use them if they were the last estate agent in the country.
