We engaged Harper Macleod (HM) after seeing a fixed price ad in the Moray spotlight magazine. We had a meeting with Karen but on presentation of the spotlight magazine we were told that this offer was no longer available. However, we did engage HM but were disappointed as the fixed price ad was still being presented in the spotlight magazine. Karen was supportive to our needs to sell and provided sound advice when a number of buyers pulled out. The Rightmove website provided us with a good exposure which turned into a few viewings and subsequently an offer. We did have a minor issue with what HP believed our home was worth and what the Home report stated. Shannon (Paralegal) was extremely supportive and provided all the required information and guidance for the collection of data to ensure our property details had no significant omissions and was proactive in providing quick and effective solutions. Thank you HM for sticking with the process and providing us with a workable solution.

I recently used Harper MacLeod, Elgin for a Conveyancing Sale matter. Will Davidson was the fee earner dealing with the process and he was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Will concluded the sale quickly and efficiently and I was treated in a very professional, kind and courteous manner. Not being in Scotland meant Will had to explain the vagaries of Scottish Conveyancing and he was patient and informative. I fully recommend him. I can also recommend Estate Agent, Lisa Sturgeon and team who were also very professional and helpful. Lisa dealt with documentation problems, unfortunately caused by the surveyor, very quicky. Both of the above statements are my personal opinions and I will have no hesitation in using Harper Macleod for any further private client expertise.

Having heard many horror stories about moving home and awful solicitors I wasn’t expecting much, however Harper Macleod LLP were a pleasure to deal with. In particular the para legal Shannon was very professional, communicating effortlessly with both me and my wife. She co-ordinated with the lender, sellers solicitor so well that we viewed the house on the 17th December and moved in on the 17th Feb. 10/10 for Shannon.

I have just moved into my dream new property after a crazy experience of the sale & purchase of my property. My solicitor Will, was unbelievable to deal with the whole process. He was professional, informative & knowledgeable. Long story short, there was a last minute mistake made from another member of the purchase chain. Will was brilliant throughout the carnage of the move in date being delayed due to no fault of his. Infact he could not have been in a better position for the original date as he had funds & paperwork ready to go. However things didnt pan out for that date & Will done everything he could to get funds returned to lender & back in his hands for the following friday. This was not a very likely scenario but he done everything to make it happen. Myself & my family are now set up & in our forever home & the whole process looking back was all under control by Will. He kept us informed & calm the whole process & i cannot thank him enough.

My partner and I have experience purchasing properties and can honestly say that Will has been the best solicitor we’ve had. He was not also responsive but extremely proactive in getting back to and updating us, following up with the other side consistently and the walking us through the whole process very seamlessly. Even though there were some curve balls with the sale he helped us walk through everything smoothly and efficiently! This was our first experience of selling and buying a house , we initially had another solicitor but she passed us over to Will at a very early stage . He was excellent at every aspect of this stressful event . The buyers solicitor was less than helpful at providing information but Will kept us updated at every small step . The estate agency staff were also very good at helping us market our house . The one piece of information we would have found helpful was the buyers entry date, and even this was not forthcoming till 2 weeks to go . On the other side, we were buying a new build, which Will had never done before, but we made it through the other side . Keeping the builder informed as to what was happening was stressful at times. We have nothing but praise for all the staff at Harper MacLeod for helping us secure our forever home . Thank you everyone .
