We asked Rettie to handle our flat sale - Maz and Gavin impressed from the start. Their knowledge of the market meant that they were very accurate with their estimate of final sale price and their advice to get the some of the decor touched up and the flat professionally staged was well worth it - we ended up with a sale after less than 2 weeks for a price above home report. Maz kept us really well informed throughout the whole process and made it as stress free as is possible when you are selling somewhere!

From initial visit by Max and then dealing with Maz it all went very smoothly, with regular updates and an idea of those who viewed and their impressions and potential interest in the flat. Not Rettie's error but the only hiccup was the photographer turning up sooner than was planned meaning they missed some extra props I wanted in the photos and no aerial shots as anticipated. But some were added from a previous property marketing. But marketing of the proeprty got underway very quickly. Happy to receommend

Unresponsive and incompetent. We had tons of issues immediately after moving into our rented flat, including 3 leaks. They had those fixed quick enough, but everything else got delayed for weeks and even months. Kirsty, the property manager, simply stopped answering the phone. Emails were ignored. Even upon leaving, the flat still had issues that remained unfixed, even though we were promised they'd be sorted. After the checkout process, Kirsty sent us an old checkout report, the one drawn up when we moved in. Didn't even bother to check the date or the notes on the PDF, else she would've noticed the report was from 2020. She vaguely mentioned that there were going to be charges for "further cleaning" - how much and what for? Who knows. We left the place spotless, which it certainly wasn't when we moved in. Now they're delaying the deposit refund process too. Still can't reach the property manager on the phone. Still haven't received the correct check-out report, a reply to the deposit refund request, or an explanation. I wouldn't recommend renting a flat through this agency. Phoebe Bolton is a superstar! A consumate professional who is clearly very adept at managing clients, she managed a very difficult transaction for us where both homeowners had suffered a break down in relationship and communication but Phoebe stayed the course and did an outstanding job. The process was no doubt extremely frustrating (a few tears were shed!) but you couldn't tell by talking to Phoebe who was always available to negotiate, placate, intercede etc etc. She went above and beyond the scope of her role to ensure her clients received the best outcomes and really did an excellent job. My experience working with Phoebe was like dealing with a compassionate friend who was keen to achieve your best interests. Buying and/or selling property may seem a straightforward process but with so many unknowns such as sellers/buyers pulling out at the last minute, delays due to extenuating factors etc etc., the right agent will make all the difference! Having transacted on a handful of properties personally, and in doing so dealt with several agents, Phoebe Bolton stands heads and shoulders above the rest. Thank you so much Phoebe!

Very poor second viewing of a property. First impression was employee shouting from the window to rudely explain how to use buzzer. They then could not shut window and unaware this is an issue on the home report. Hilariously later had to be corrected on the flat number. Incredibly unprofessional and unprepared. Previous experience with Rettie’s selling a property in the stair I live. Advertising that an illegally acquired section of a communal garden was private, having not checked the title deeds. This company unfortunately seems to employ people who look, talk and dress a certain way with no substance. I will be avoiding and advise others to do so.
