We decided to go with MacGregor to sell our property because we were impressed with the level of communication and honesty in our discussions with Michael when meeting him initially to discuss selling our flat. He did the viewings, which I believe greatly aided selling our flat quickly and with confidence knowing that we were making a good decision. The difference in having an agent who knows the market, gets to know the property, and is also engaged in viewings with potential buyers makes all the difference. Michael is extremely knowledgeable but is very down to earth and relatable. Since we sold our flat with Michael we have also contacted him for advice about the selling/purchase of another property since the market has changed and he was extremely generous with his time and gave us very good advice. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend using MacGregor.

Michael and Robyn were fantastic throughout the entire selling process during the sale of my city centre property. Their professionalism throughout was in stark contrast to my previous experiences with other selling agents. I was given weekly summaries of viewings together with regular phone contact and WhatsApp messages. I never needed to chase them for updates, as they always contacted me after each viewing. They made the whole process of selling my flat a pleasant experience. Having used their services to sell my flat I then used them again to sell another property. I cannot recommend Macgregor enough, excellent experience throughout the whole process. I came across Macgregor by chance, I was thinking about selling my place and a letter from Macgregor popped through my letterbox. A few other agents had been over already, but I still contacted Michael and he came over to my flat and right then and there I made my mind up. From day 1, the personal, friendly, approachable and yet extremely professional service was by a mile the best I've ever experienced from estate agents. Michael was very open and honest and shared what would work best to market my place and made some really good suggestions which I took on board. He set expectations in terms of selling timelines and value (related to the Home Report). He was spot on on both accounts. Throughout the process, communication was excellent, sharing updates of the viewings, follow ups and so on. His team were also fantastic, Rebecca is a gem and was amazing with the viewings and Robin managing everything behind the scenes. Selling a house can be a very emotional time, and Macgregor were supporting every step of the way.

A traditional big brand estate agent having failed to sell our prime New Town house, we were recommended to try Michael @ Macgregors. What a difference! Michael gives excellent and frank advice on what we needed to do and has a much more “hands on” style, similar to a US realtor which we were very familiar with having lived in the USA. His marketing style is more modern and engaging. And he shows the house himself, not pointing out the obvious but subtlety selling the virtues of the property and solving issues that might be a barrier for the buyer. I would urge anyone selling prime Edinburgh property to use Macgregors. The old school are lame in comparison.

I have used a number of agents in the past, including well known nationals. The service provided by Michael and Robyn was, by some way, the most attentive, responsive and effective I have experienced. Their local knowledge of the West End and central Edinburgh and their proximity means they are able to deliver a more bespoke, precise and carefully targeted service than the competition. I would go as far as to say this was the easiest, most professional and personalised service I have ever experienced. Very good indeed and I have no hesitation recommending Macgregor.
