Made an offer on a property with the agent, Jan Mitchell, after being approached by the vendor following a failed sale on said property. Seller and agent both knew I was very keen. Explained to agent that I had my house to sell but would put it straight on the market. This agent was also keen to sell my property and apparently would make every effort to sell mine to allow me to buy this new one. I ultimately chose a different agent in my local town with an excellent sales record for speed. At sellers request I communicated how things were progressing with mine. It literally took 3 days to market mine, hold viewings and secure an asking price offer. I told the seller this as had been her suggestion. The agent ultimately telephoned me to advise that the seller had agreed to sell to another interested buyer, with an offer I understand to be lower than mine. This agent put all the emphasis on me for not updating them re my progress, even though I had been communicating to the seller directly. My question would be, why did the agent (Jan Mitchell) not communicate with me and ask me what my current selling status was BEFORE suggesting to the seller that she take the other offer? I have spoken with several other agents who said they would ALWAYS check the status of all interested parties prior to suggesting who to sell to. As has already been stated in previous reviews.... poor communications from Jan Mitchell. Was it because I didn't sell with you that you took umbrage???? I've bought and sold over 10 properties with different agents and communication with this one has to be the worst. An extra star given because they at least said sorry!!!

This is a fantastic estate agency! A small but very experienced and knowledgeable team. I dealt mostly with Jordan, his advice from the outset was excellent and he was always easy to contact. No hard sell, top technology (360 Degree Tours, floor plans etc.), great updates from viewings and chased potential buyers like clockwork. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The property I viewed online has a misleading listing. Glencoe Tc NE39 End terrace house. I went for a look outside and too see area. You've got it listed as having a back yard, open the back door there are two bins with enough space to get in and out of the property, or are you speculating th new owner uses a busy shared back lane, cluttered with old cars?

I drove up all the way from Manchester to view a property which was meant to be shown by Rachel and the property was taken off the market. I would’ve appreciated Rachel to update us on this, however she did not. Very bad service! It was very embarrassing knocking on the owners door to be told they aren’t selling anymore not to mention the 6+hours drive altogether!

Had a offer verbally agreed after a best and final offer from multiple buyers after they explicitly said all offers must be done by 12.00pm Tuesday. Tuesday night the seller verbally accepts the offer we then send across proff of funds and MIP to take the house off the market. This 'estate agent' then informed us that they had received another offer for the property which is fair enough as they are legally entitled too, but annoying as we had been told all done by 12 Tuesday (other estate agents have not done this with their best and final process, we have tried). The 'estate agent' then told me the higher offer price in order to start essentially a bidding war between myself and the other party which I am no lawyer but after some quick research strikes as not only very unprofessional but illegal. This was all conducted by a lady by the name of Jan Mitchell if this is the owner I would dread to see the malpractices they conduct

Our solicitors were useless and we had no chain on either end but Jan was amazing and kept chasing them for each bit of paperwork and kept us informed with how the progress was going.
