Waiting for a call back for two weeks for a viewing meanwhile they let the property after saying I could view. Second time they have done this! Rude. They never call back. Said they were waiting for the tenants to allow access but didn’t say that they had gained access. Last time I emailed and called numerous times and couldn’t get hold of anyone and again the property was let. No customer service. It’s all good whilst you have interest in a property and don’t care about all applicants but would have thought customer service would still be good with regular updates. Hope landlord don’t have the same experience.

Avoid F&S conveyancing

Do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing firm. I’m not a Fox & Sons customer but our buyer is (as that is their agent) and they’ve held up our chain for months. We agreed a sale in October 2024, it was discovered in January 2025 that our buyer needed an amendment to their lease on their leasehold property before they could sell it (a deed of variation) three months later to today, only now has the Fox & Sons conveyancing firm read the leases properly and determined what they need to do and there is still no end in sight. All in our chain has needlessly been put to extra stamp duty cost, the cost of arranging a new mortgage offer because previous ones have expired, we’ve had houses in the chain being re marketed, causing further stress. Our solicitor told me today that they have three chains including ours that are all stuck and going nowhere due to a deed of variation, and guess what, every one of those chains has the same Fox & Sons conveyancing firm handling the deed of variation. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I would suggest unless you want to waste your money on delays, and be stressed beyond belief, do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing. I don’t normally post reviews, if I get bad service, I simply don’t go back. However, on this occasion, I’m getting bad service that is costing me and others in our chain more money, and there is nothing I can do about it.

We recently bought a property through the Langney Branch. Both Eddie and Callum were very helpful and professional. Eddie worked particularly hard keeping us informed and chasing the seller's solicitors on our behalf. We then contacted Aga at the Eastbourne Lettings Office as we wanted to let the property as soon as it was redecorated. Aga was excellent! She explained the process clearly, gave good advice on what tenants are looking for, stayed in contact with us throughout the drawn out buying process, and was ready with multiple prospective tenants just days after we completed on the property. Courtney was also friendly and helpful giving us feedback from the viewings, which helped us feel confident choosing the new tenants. Aga then completed the process, all the paperwork and references, keeping us informed every step of the way, and answering my many questions/concerns. Eastbourne Branch! I cannot recommend them enough! I used Fox and Sons in Eastbourne recently to sell my flat! They sold it within a couple of weeks which was great! We were in a long 6+ chain so the time to completion took about 5 months but throughout the process I spoke to Stephen the branch Manager almost weekly (with him calling me as much as the other way round which was great), he’d give me regular updates if he’d heard anything from the Solicitors etc and and nothing seemed too much trouble from anyone in the office! I felt a the service was professional throughout but also they were very personable and a pleasure to deal with!

I used Fox & Sons to sell my property and although it was a long process (mainly down to Covid restrictions) they did an excellent job. Tom and Steve were awesome. They responded to every email and call from me quickly and professionally. There were numerous issues along the way and they dealt with them all. They even went the extra mile on completion to ensure I got the keys with minimal travel and dealt with another estate agents part so it went smoother. Never again will I buy a property through Fox & Sons. The very stressful process of moving was made horrendously worse, by their shocking incompetence, dishonesty and non existent communication. We found out they kept telling the vendor they couldn’t get hold of us, when the reality was, we couldn’t get hold of them! The “senior negotiator” didn’t have basic communication skills or professionalism. How he has found himself in such a job, I’ll never understand.
