I was called the next day after expressing my interest in a property, they rushed to get me booked in with a broker to check my affordability, but afterwards no one made any further contact even after I chased them. They lied saying “sorry I have been busy in meetings etc” and then disappeared again. Bad sales people

Very bad experience trying to sell our flat.Inexperienced young agents with little knowledge of the property holding viewings.Not turning up on occasions. Bad liason with potential buyer, took more than 6 months only for buyer to pull out! Not promoting the property, said they had London investors, so had wider coverage than local agents, another failure. Will not use them again!

It was a bit hard to find one and I found a light. Despite that I've been a good tenant for 3 years, the rules of having pets and 0 contract full time job was not enough. GoogleThankyou fox and sons finally an agent that isn't stuck in the Stone Age. From the first time of meeting Peter Bushell the Branch manager at the appraisal of our home we knew he was different. A marketing expert always looking outside the box to tailor the marketing of our home. We had an open day with 30+ people attending and ended up with 9 offers and selling over asking price. We also bought through fox and sons with the help of Alex wood. This transaction was so easy updates all the time and with help from Chris the mortgage advisor Fox and sons really are the full package. Top Eastbourne agent thank you.

Always in touch and persistentI didn't end up buying with Fox & Sons but they were one of the only agencies out of the several I was in touch who constantly followed up and kept trying, even when I kept saying no to places I visited. Sometimes the properties they suggested really did not match my criteria, but this was better than other agencies who would show you one property then disappear if you didn't like it.

what a bunch unhelpful lot they are I put in a offer on a property and they refused to forward the offer on until I went to the office to see their Broker I had a Broker already they kept on saying we need to see if you can afforded the property 1) yes I can wouldn't put offer in if not 2) I had been though this with my Broker and had the Mortgage in principle also told them to call him and they didn't the property has been reduced twice has the vender thinks he property is not selling they just not telling him the full story I think I am in 2 minds to go and tell him what's going on

Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agent’s responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were ‘imminent’. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost £1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at £10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.

Googlefox and sons staff including manager [louise] will tell you whatever you want to hear. 3 weeks ago i saw a property on there website, so i called them up to see what the criteria is as i would need a guarantor. my guarantor called them himself [my dad] just to double check that everything was in order. thay said YES EVERYTHING IS FINE. so now we just had to get there as i was living in london.2 weeks later on friday thay said no one else has shown interest in property so come down to view property and bring £300 holding fee and its yours, same day got down there at the property the lady said there was people viewing every half hour.my heart sunk thay said that while i had made my way from london to eastbourne 3 hours max, that all these people had shown interest. thay said that all of our details would be put forward to landlord so thay could pick who thay want, so yesterday got a call to say we was not accepted. when i asked what the reason might be manager louise said we do not fit criteria, it was ok 3 wks ago, apparently the £35,000 plus my dad has coming in a year is not enough. what a waste of time and money dont let them do the same to you.

GoogleIf you rent, let, buy or sell a house through this ‘agent’ beware - very unhelpful arrogant staff, don’t help with rental maintenance or assist with getting you to the right place. Ever noticed all their properties are overpriced? The fee may be low but you’ll never get back those 6 months you spend trying to sell your house. Would NEVER recommend this agent. I would consider a much higher fee than think about ‘foxes’!

Crawley branch, , We went on the market with them , they never showed up to viewings , our viewings also never showed up and although they found a buyer we did all the work/viewings and they never chased or called or in fact communicated with anyone - when I complained they said I quote - our fee is not for good service it’s for finding a buyer only
