After moving in shortly before Christmas and finding our oven didn’t work (nightmare when a Christmas dinner is planned) they helped make sure we got a replacement swiftly! GoogleEven 1 star is too much. I had to leave 1 mattress and 1 drawer before moving out from my flat. I wanted to give the items to the British Heart Foundation for free, they would pick them up, but since I left home early, I made a request to Tom, that during the flat inspection or another time the British Heart Foundation could come and pick up the items. I said this to Tom days ago, but he didn't even answer. Should I call this an insensitivity to a charity's needs or indifference to someone who is no longer a tenant? I see that when the relationship with money ends, the relationship with humanity also ends :) Also, the bathroom faucet was already broken for almost a year (before I moved in and they didn't repair it) and the bedroom curtain was brought months later (I had a dark gift wrap glued to the window so I could sleep). They made no effort. If you rent a flat from this real estate agency, you can be sure that they will not take care of you. This is my first and last experience with them. I definitely do not recommend.

GoogleThey were the shinning light in my flat search. Very friendly, kind, and understanding staff. Any time I walked into the office to sort out something it didn't matter who I spoke with, they knew who I was and why I was there. One of the few letting agencies I went into (and I went into A LOT) that actually searched through what they had available and about to be available to try to find something for me. They went above and beyond to move me in as fast and efficiently as possible. Feel like I am extremely lucky to have stumbled into their office.

GoogleVery helpful agent. I am very surprised to read the negative reviews on here from many years ago. I have found Equity to be helpful and friendly in my dealings with them over the last 5+ years. I cn recommend them without reservation. I would have stayed with them if they had a suitable property for me.

GoogleAs a contractor for Equity we have been working with them for a number of years now. They are a highly professional company who act on their clients and tenants behalf, to sort any issues they may have with their property in a quick and efficient manner. I would highly recommend them as a letting agent for tenants and landlords.

GoogleThese are the worse agents you can ever imagine. I got an apartment from them with leaking roof and walls, broken windows, no doors, actually they were so many things wrong with the flat. When I did my viewing I was told the maintenance were going to be sorted before i move in and i couldnt see the leak signs because they laid wallpapers and painted over them. When I eventually moved in from over 200 miles away, I met the flat in an horrible state. I contacted them for repairs and they did nothing for over a month. The leak ruined my clothes and other properties, I completely deserted the living room and the kitchen because of the horrible smell as a result of the leak. The windows were not shutting so I had to use my clothes as barricades to stop rain and insects from coming into the flat. These guys made my life a living hell while I was at the apartment. Since they refused to make any repairs or fix the serious leak issues which made the flat uninhabitable. I had to move into a temporary accommodation and I eventually moved out. Be careful with these guys, and with my experience they are SLUMLORD. And I have reported them to the authorities to get my money back from them.

GoogleRented a flat in eastbourne for 4 years up till just last month. Equity were brilliant. Friendly staff and really quick responses to a few issues over the tenancy. Their modern web based reporting system is great and their contractors and agents always good at informing me as to what was happening. For someone who is hard of hearing the use of email by the managers was really handy. Would recommend this company to anyone....really can't say enough good things about this company....in my experience quite possibly the best rental agents I have ever been a tenant through. Thanks guys!

GoogleHi My name is Marius and I've been with equity from 2018 and I never had any issues with them, the flat was clean and freshly painted when I moved, during the tenancy period they were very helpful and supportive and all the maintenance issues were taken very seriously and fixed in a very professional manner and good time where possible, I highly recommend them, I feel sorry I've couldn't stay with them but something came along and meet my needs. GoogleRun by 2 brothers and the difference from national outfits is stark. Approachable and, in my experience, entirely fair to deal with. Much better agents than other well known letting agents, that I've previously had to work with. I would happily, confidently use Equity again should the need arise.

GoogleI highly recommend Equity! I have been using Equity Residential letting services for 12 years now and cannot fault them on one thing. I live and work away (sometimes abroad) which means I am not always contactable or easy to get hold of; however, Equity have made letting my property so easy and hassle free - I cannot thank them enough. They are utmost professional, polite, honest, knowledgeable and have sound judgment enabling them to give sound advice which I have been able to rely upon; I trust them wholeheartedly. They always return calls and reply to emails promptly. Their proactive ethos has meant that my property has never remained empty for long in-between tenancies - probably a month has been the longest in 12 years! ...which has taken the financial pressure off. They have always found me good tenants too, which I have not had any issues with at all (not like I did when I rented privately in the past). I feel Equity are unlike any other letting agents in that they have the best interests of both the landlord and the tenant, it is never one sided, and their expertise means they are excellent negotiators and somehow manage to keep both sides happy. They are first class agents!

And as if I couldn't be more impressed with this service, the decorator, Adrian, was very efficient, tidy & reliable doing a great job...... GoogleFantastic, caring and professional. I am a social landlord and Equity manage 2 of my properties for me. I have been nothing short of amazed with the standard that their team delivers. To their credit, they often present a very considered view in favour of their tenants, and respect that their client is both the landlord and the tenant. This is exactly how a management agency should run and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Keep up the good work and I wish you every success in 2017.
