We recently reserved a plot at Harlands park and have been really pleased with how kind and attentive everyone has been. The development looks great already, with lots of planting, and the people already living there we met while visiting have been very friendly.We're getting update photos from Darren of both our house and the general site from drone shots, which is cool to see.Excited to be selecting our options with Francesca this week. The sales process has been seamless and she's been a great help.All in all a great experience so far.

From our initial enquiry to collecting the Keys to our new house it has been a seemless journey. As mature first time home owners it has be a pleasure to deal with the team at Charles Church.s with any new building if building project there will always be some snagging issues to address. However I am not fazed and feel confident that Charles Church will address these and assist imy wife and i making our first house purchase our home.

We have lived at Harlands Park for six months. Initially we were a little nervous about moving to our first ‘New Build’ - but we couldn’t be happier. The storage is fabulous, the kitchen/diner light and sunny and our garden is much bigger than we had thought. The exterior landscaping around our property is excellent and well laid out. The house feels warm and insulated and has been decorated to a high standard. Steve the site manager and Steve Andre have been so helpful and kind.Darren sends us updates on the development as a whole, which is good to know.

We are buying a new house from Charles Church (The Harlands Park development).The sales team have been very helpful and patient with us while we choose various options. They have responded very quickly and constructively to any queries or questions we have had.Every week we are sent photos of the house build with time estimates of when the next stage of construction will be reached. Apart from these photos we also have been sent photos (from a Drone) of the whole development at Harlands Park. This gives us a great idea of how the whole development fits together and it is easy to see how our house will look in relation to other houses which have now been completed and are being lived in.I am very interested in the technical side of house construction and sometimes ask questions about the materials being used and the building techniques being employed.Again, the responses to my questions have been full and informative. We are very pleased with the overall process and look forward to moving in.

My partner and I are part way in to buying a plot off plan on the Harlands Farm Uckfield development that gives us the configuration and space that works for us and thus far the journey, from Francesca in the Marketing Suite to Steve the site manager and Darren the project manager, has been outstanding. I can't thank them enough for everything they are doing to make a stressful situation so hopeful and exciting. With weekly updates from Darren i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and for me that is so reassuring. Thank you.

Early bird fee refundWe had made an early bird fee on 28th November 2022 and we were told that the refund will be processed if we do not wish to proceed. We emailed Zoe, sale advisor in July two times that we have decided not to proceed with the that plot and asking her for a refund. Until now we haven't heard anything back from Charles Church. I am looking forward to hearing from them soon.

We moved into our new home 8 months ago and the Charles Church team continue to impress, they are outstanding. Any small snag that we've come across, they have been only too willing to help us. And they don't leave you waiting for a response, they get back to you same day. The customer care team, the team on-site, they are all fantastic. You can't fault them, honestly this development is something special. Jason, Darren, Steve, Mick, they all work so hard to make sure we are happy. It's been a great experience and I highly recommend.

Since we reserved the property, the amount of pressure, we were put under, despite explaining my ill health, was relentless. Constant calls from the CC office, mortgage brokers and Surveyors. There was no option for me to explore outside options. I understand they have a deadline, but they don't take into consideration individual circumstances. Its either my way or high way. Unfortunately there was nothing less that 1 star. I would not recommend them.

TrustpilotSo much for a 'quick fix'
I was told in January that a restriction had been missing from the housing deed but 'I am informed this can be sorted very quickly'. This then meant I could not proceed with selling my property which is ready to exchange on contracts as they missed key information regarding the 'discounted housing scheme' I bought it on. We have since then given them time to review the document which has been reviewed by the buyers solicitor and myself for them to sign ready to send to land registry. This has still not been done.Phone calls to Persimmons/Charles Church (who tend to direct us to emailing the customer care team with no response), emails from the solicitor have got us nowhere except 'This is due to return to the regional office in the next day or so' and 'As previously advised I will notify you once I hold the signed deed'. No urgency to solve an issue which is their fault and is causing a significant amount of stress to myself, partner and our buyer. We are also weeks away from completing on a new house which we could lose due to this issue as we cannot exchange on the property until this sale has completed and potentially losing the buyer if this isn't resolved.

Darren, Mick and the site team have responded to queries and minor snags quickly and effeciently. We feel lucky to have a home in such a great location for town, transport and schools. The landscaping on the development is superb. It is a pleasure to see all the new trees and planting. It looks amazing.

We can't recommend Charles Church (Festival Park) enough! This is our second newbuild and we have been living happily here for a year. The house is spacious and well built. As with any newbuild, there are ALWAYS snags, but the after care from Joe and the Charles Church team is second to none!! Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Charles Church "Homes of Destinction"........Well they may have been long ago. But, when you are kept chasing for a long list of snagging items to be cleared 8 months after you move in, it starts to get beyond a joke.The quality of site tradesmen used on this site are so bad it is beyond belief. I have known Charles Church Homes since they started up in the 70's and their standard has dropped beyond belief.

Plot 349 Millennium FarmGround-floor flooded with at least 2 inches of water. Carpets removed,skirtingboards removed,three dehumidifiers running 24hrs a day for three weeks now. Customer care informed by site that we'd had a leak,what a joke.We just got the inside of the house how we wanted it and this happened.Massive disruption to family,cannot use living room and study(daughter uses study for work) wife is devastated and even checks taps in ensuite if waking through the night to make sure we have water.Got some help at the beginning of the nightmare then things went quiet. You'd think some higher management might have taken an interest and come to see the upset and disruption this has caused my family.It looks like you have to go to the media before these people take an interest.

If 0 stars was an option it would be that. Bought on Millennium Farm. Poor and lacking communication often only given after chasing.Extremely lengthy build time with numerous delays. Reserved April 2021. Advised would be in October/December 2021. Made it in in November 2022. Considering the time taken build quality is poor. I have had to get the roof tiles changed as they put the wrong tiles on as per their plans and what we agreed to buy. Had to get half a movement joint removed as they only put half of one in up the back of the house. Sold with cracked windows and windows not fitted straight and doors that don’t open properly. Then it’s taken best part of 5 months to get any response to get snags sorted. Still waiting for some to be done. The bit that gets me the most is it took 5 months to get a light bulb for an outside light. All they had to do was knock on the door and hand it to us from their stockpile on site. Customer service has overall been atrocious. The only glimmer of hope is that the design of the house is great and the only reason we have persevered because once all is sorted it will be a nice house.

Francesca in the marketing suite, Darren the project manager, Steve the site manager and every single person i have dealt with, there's too many to name but they have all gone above and beyond to make my dream come true. The finished product and aftercare is second to none. If i ever moved again id choose Charles Church developers without hesitation.

Second ReviewWe moved into our property at Harlands Park just before Christmas. We have had a great experience so far, Steve and Mick came to see us the first day they were back on site after the Christmas break to check how we were and if everything was ok. Communication with the site team has been fantastic. We have, as to be expected, a snagging list, but so far the team have been quick and responsive in getting things sorted. Whilst we still have an outstanding list of snags, we are confident that the team will address everything.
