Avoid them
Avoid them. They inventing fake offers. Everything is beautiful new and shiny but when you viewing house there is a dog s**t on the middle. Which is fantastic for them.

STAY AWAY!
I rented a property for 6 months from this company and it’s by far the most horrific and unprofessional company I’ve ever come across. I got my keys and on entering the property you could smell how dirty it was. The carpet in living room had been so badly worn it had holes in it (when I view the property before it had tenants living in it and this as covered by furniture). Some of the rooms were wallpapered. Obviously lack of cleaning done. I did the inventory hive where you tick of the picture taken by the estate a gent matched the description, it did so I ticked it. All this was via email and before I got the keys to actually see it bare. I was horrified at the state of the place and called them immediately. Banister rail was loose, the back door had dropped, the front door leaked, all interior doors were very hard to open, the showers had been leaking as there was mould on kitchen ceiling directly below, boiler lost pressure when the heating was on and much more. They rectified a few things. Now over the 6 months I was there they did get things sorted (4months before an electrician was employed to fix the smoke alarms). Now I did not receive my full bond back as they took money off me £15 for dust on light fitting, and £25 for paint work that had been scratched (previous tennant painted white paint on brown plastic windowsills). I left the property in an immaculate state. It was much cleaner then when I moved in. Besides Annabelle being the most stuck up rude and unprofessional person I also think I’ve been misled and taken advantage of. As i imagine they took bond money off previous tenants for the decorating issues they did not however rectify this and restore the house to neutral decor. I don’t mind find taken off if I have damaged anything but they seem to take your money and not repair anything!

Excellent service, Fiona was highly motivated and professional. I have been extremely pleased with the client-friendly and dedicated service provided by Hunters Beverley. In my view they are the best estate agents in Beverley.

House sale pulled out by Seller within 4 days of verbal agreement We were after a house purchase in Middleton, handled by Hunters, when we ended up losing the house twice. The first time, we viewed the property, really enjoyed what we saw - but when wanting to come back to view the property again (note: this property was on the market for over 2 months with no offers accepted) - it had been taken off the market as an offer was accepted. Fortunately for us, the property then got listed on the market again as the buyers pulled out within a week of making the offer. We got our second viewing and made the offer the next day - which was accepted ahead of a bank holiday weekend in August. Suddenly, on a Thursday we get a call saying the house is off the market and being sold to a cash buyer. The offer was pulled away from us with no consideration. Unfortunately this is the way the housing market still operates that gives both parties no repercussions after behaving in an ill-mannered fashion. Whilst verbal agreements are not binding - it is not the best practice that agencies managing sales do not reimburse the buyers they bring in to a verbal agreement whilst letting the seller (at best - charging the management fee which never sees all affected parties!) walk off.

Hunters surveyed , priced and had my property on the market in no time at all. They were confident in viewings and with in 10 days we had an offer which was super close to the asking price . The house then got stuck in a chain for longer than all parties would have cared for but hunters never failed to answer the phone or do what was needed to try to compete the process . They are true professionals at the highest level and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to sell there house .

Avoid at all costs bad communication problems have to keep chasing them.Agreed figure on Friday to let one bedroom property on Monday increased amount by £750 not acceptable or professional.Still not had proper viewing of property at this point sad to say they least bad experience all round. The only prompt response i had from them was an e.mail with a holding charge invoice attached ten minutes after calling to place an interest in viewing the property 🤔🙄

Hunters P'Head - Terrible customer service!
My recent experience with Hunters (Portishead) has been very poor and unfortunately, due to terrible customer service, I will avoid ever dealing with the company again. I thought it may be wise to share this review as I genuinely feel houses may not be selling in our area due to a certain persons 'selling techniques'. Every phonecall before and after our viewing with this person was incredibly frustrating. They were very rude, abrupt and patronising. During the viewing both me and my partner were almost cringing at the 'selling technique' , it was all about him and his contacts, very much a bragging opportunity. This was followed with a very patronising quick fire lesson on 'how to sell a house'. If the agent had bothered to actually ask questions about us, he would have learnt that one of us had very extensive property sales experience. Similarly, by asking no questions about us, he didn't sell the house to us, he merely opened the door and identified what the rooms were. No attempt of selling the features to fit our needs, nothing. Whilst I initiated some questions about the property, the agent didn't answer me directly and would always look to my partner when speaking - we both picked up on this seperately and found it to be very rude and came across chauvinistic! The agent wrapped up the viewing by saying he had a cash buyer in next (as to try and scare us), we waited...and guess what, nobody arrived. During the multiple calls after out viewing (some were return calls to his voicemails) this particular agent would respond like he didn't have a clue who we were, (well if he had bothered to use his customer service skills perhaps his memory would have served him better) after re-highlighting who I was, I was faced with short answers in a 'you're wasting my time tone'. I left every phonecall seething at how rude this person really was.I think anyone who has dealt in any customer facing role understands that customer service is key, find out about your customer, what do they do, what are their needs, build a rapport etc.I appreciate we were only viewers but fast forward to us selling in the future - there wouldn't be a chance I would use them as my agent. Safe to say, I will not be dealing with Hunters again.

MY ADVICE IS DO NOT USE HUNTERS LETTING…
MY ADVICE IS DO NOT USE HUNTERS LETTING IN PONTEFRACT!!!I would prefer to give NO stars to Hunters Letting Agents of Pontefract. They are a shambles, they dont follow best practice in terms of how they deal with those people that sign agreements with them. I rented a property in the area being charged £700 pcm for a 3 bedroom house WITH garage I was very specific I needed a garage. the house had this and i was informed that everything had been checked at the property when I went to sign the contract. Moved in no working cooker, fridge or freezer, had 3 water leaks from bathroom (that I didnt use) into living room. Also no ability to use the Garage as they didnt give me a remote control for it for nearly 3 months and when they did it would not open but I had a manual handle to wind up and down (but the garage was full of builders rubbish), but of course they said they had checked and it was ready to move into. At the end of the tenancy they deducted £90 from the deposit for pet hair in the main bedroom (Ihave a cat which was always sleeping in its bed on the ground floor plus dead flies on the living room floor). No monies back however for the lack of the garage!! I then overpaid by mistake a further months payment and instead of sending back the full amount of £700 the deducted monies for some reason, no explanation to me. THEY ARE NOT BIG ON COMMUNICATING!!! People may think this is not true, I can prove all of this - there is more but i simply cannot be bothered to put it here. Will be taking legal advice.

Accept no responsibility for misselling
When we purchased our house through Hunters they marketed the property as having a 1.5 acre plot. Since purchasing we have subsequently found out this 1.5 acres is actually less than 1 acre. We have raised this with Hunters who do not consider they have done anything wrong. We have gone through their escalation process for what it was worth and they refuse to accept any responsibility. We are taking further action to understand what laws Hunters have actually broken around misspelling but if anyone has any advice feel free to comment.

Don’t expect any help.
Trying to talk to someone is just ridiculous. No one can do anything and always passes to another person which leads to waiting for a callback that never happens. I called 8 times yesterday hit voicemail each time, was only calling as again the call I was promised didn’t happen.Very happy to be changing to working with another estate agent.

Hot air and horse
My original contract was with Thurman & Rye and was acquisitioned by Hunters part way through, but the staff remained the same. They had two flats to sell, so I offered them 3% if they sold both flats within the standard contract period as an incentive to market the properties. They didn’t market or sell a single flat. They just sat there and hoped for RightMove to create the footfall.Worse still was the brochuring of the properties, they couldn’t spell, got the wrong specs and they couldn’t draw the floor plans properly. Loads of promises and assurances from the start etc, but proved to be a load of hot air and horse.

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT
DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. On the 18.10.2018 I was appointed to see an apartment at 41 Mill West, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 3JH. (I hope the landlord is reading this)We agreed a time of 16:45 but due to traffic my sat nav advised I would be eleven minutes late. I called the office at 16:25 and after a few minutes of waiting for somebody to answer the telephone I was greeted. I advised the lady I was running late by eleven minutes and was told the agent showing me around cannot wait for me because she finishes at 5pm. I asked why would it be booked with only 15 minutes to spare for viewing and the reply I received from a manager at hunters was “you only get five minutes to view the property. The manager I had the displeasure of conversing with was named Nicola Thompson. She is rude, cocky and full of self importance with no regard for customer service or a potential tennents interest or the landlord of the property who contributes to her salary. I feel I had a lucky escape. I hope her superiors read this as well as the landlord who owns the property I was going to view. She needs to enroll in a customer service role and soon, personally I’d fire her but unfortunately this is what happens when you allow the inexperienced and possibly inadequate into a junior management role. I will post on every review site I can because of this women’s attitude with the hope her bosses react and teach her how to behave towards potential and existing customers.

I can't complain about these letting agents as I signed an agreement not too so that we could get some of our deposit back...
I can't tell you about my experience with a recent let as the only way I could get our deposit back was to agree not to complain about any aspect of the tenancy or the process of charges negotiation. I can tell you to be very careful about using this letting agent. They issue a notice to quit towards the end of each assured short hold tenancy rather than let the tenancy run-on so that they can raise the rent, knowing you are in situ and charge new fees for the tenancy agreement. Scrutinise your inventory and the check-out report in detail. Do not suggest you have any cause for complaint.

Hunters Barkingside
Hunters Barkingside Mark Sherer and his team of staff at Barkingside branch went above and beyond to help sell our house in Clayhall Ilford. I cannot recommend them enough A*

We had so many issues
We had so many issues in our rented property and they never came and sorted them due to this we moved out. We had left our house in a very clean state and only the problems we had when we moved in had been left they tried to take our full bond off us and more. They are horrific and I wouldn’t recommend using them and I certainly won’t be ever again.

KIRSTIE KAY
This review is for Kirstie Kay for being very helpful and performing her role to a high degree of excellence.I most note John Adlam (partner) made a simple request extremely difficult to facilitate and an unpleasant experience.

Great service
Once again guys 1st class service. Always use these guys. Great price. Always polite. Always on time. And the plus is your car engine is started for you so no cold car to get into. If it’s icy the windscreen is defrosted for you. Thanks again 👍👍

From start to finish Hunters were first class. Ellie and Chelsea both professional and helpful at all times. Leanne goes above and beyond to ensure a very stressful time goes as smoothly as possible. We sold and purchased through Hunters and would highly recommend to friends and family.

People be alert avoid at all cost like…
People be alert avoid at all cost like covid. Do not deal with the bradford shipley branch previously Bentleys. Dishonest timewasters that just do not care. They lie and cheat to impress for their own gain. Mis advice vendors to sell to buyers who are friends/associates. Dont waste your time and emotions I did. Wish I and vendors had checked the previous reviews would not have wasted time and money.

Data Breach !
I enquired about a house and have been added illegally to a mailing list. I complained and asked to be removed twice, was told they never added me (though the emails added me 1 day after my 1 ever enquiry to this company) and they have yet to remove me. Companies like this should not be trusted, they are taking your data and will spam you !
