We brought a 4 bed Detached at the Clay…

We brought a 4 bed Detached at the Clay Cross site. I can’t fault the builder. We exchanged contracts with in 4 weeks. The house was ready in time and very little snagging required. I have been selling New Homes for over 25yrs, so my expectations are high. I just want to say I huge thank you to the Site Manager Ben, Liz in Customer care, James and Andrea on Sales. They go above and beyond. Love the house and the Build and finish I can’t really fault. My little snagging list has been dealt with very quickly thank you Liz. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brompton Mews.

From the initial enquiry with Vicky it took 12 weeks to move into a wonderful house on Brompton Mews . Peter just couldn’t have been more helpful,so the move was easy ( even a few days before Christmas). Gary and his team on site pulled out all the stops to get us moved in time to put the Christmas tree up !The house has lived up to all the build expectations and more.

I can recommend Avant as my experience was completely different to most of negative comments. It might be due to the fact that our house is on different site as I was happy with the finish. We arranged snagging ( what I will always recommend ) but no major issues were identified, and the few more significant ones were quickly rectified. There were some minor snags that were noted, although Avant is proactively addressing all of them so really I there is nothing I could complain. John and Christine are always very helpful.

Big thumbs up to the Wilbur Chase team for a happy on schedule house completion!

When my wife and I were researching to buy a house in Nottingham while we were in the USA last year, Julie of Wilbur Chase team (Avant Homes) was the only one, amongst 12 other developments I emailed, who responded in detail the processes involved in buying a house in the UK, including contacts of financial advisors and conveyance solicitors. That led to my initial visit to the showhome back in Aug last year. The site manager Lee together with Julie took us for a tour and gave a very professional introduction to the different features of various house types. That led to our reservation on our house 2 days after the visit. Then they ran the extra mile to spend hours going through the extras and options with us that week even before we exchanged contracts because we had to fly back to the USA. Months flew by: Julie and the site team kept regular contact via email on the progress of the construction and we got our keys last Thursday, all according to schedule. A big thumbs up to a very dedicated and professional team and special thanks to Julie and Lee

We just moved into our new home at Shipley Lakeside yesterday so I wanted to write a review to say how brilliant Avant have been. Ellie has been great right from the get go and couldn’t do enough for us. She’s been accommodating, reassuring, kept us in the loop and the best thing is she somehow managed to get us excited and smiley again every time it got stressful. We had a few issues at the start of the process but they were resolved and they did so much to make sure we were happy. As we got further into the process we were assigned Jenny as our coordinator and I’m not sure I could say enough good things about her. Our process was stressful to say the least (due to our buyers solicitors, not Avant) and Jenny was there at every turn to apply pressure to the agents, work with our solicitors and keep me updated at every step. The last week in particular was extremely stressful and there were several points I didn’t think we were going to do it… and I don’t think we would have done if it wasn’t for her. We had our home demo the day before we were due to complete (still not knowing if we would) and Ellie made sure we enjoyed the experience despite us being really stressed. We had lots of laughs, managed to forget about it all for an hour, and went away with a smile back on our faces. Neil, the site manager, was absolutely brilliant and made us feel like he just wanted to make sure we had the best experience and love our new home. We finally completed yesterday (right up to the wire) and we were met by Ellie and Amanda celebrating with us and it was exactly what we needed - plus the hugs and happy tears! Yes, we will probably have a few snags, but I have absolutely no doubt they will be resolved because of the care we’ve received so far. Couldn’t recommend the team here enough.

Chaucers Green- Avant Homes.I cannot fault Avant Homes. My first shout out goes to Jane/James (sales staff). I first met Jane after viewing the showhome prior to my house being sold. She was professional & kept in regular contact with me. She then passed me across to James who was there on exchange then completion. James has been a friendly face & hands on when asking for any advice. My second shout out goes to the Site Team. Steve the Site Manager, Matthew & all the staff have been great. No job too big or small. My worse fear being a sole buyer following a separation was being scared to ask for help but these lads have put me at ease & always on hand. I will miss them when they go!! Finally… I can honestly say I love my new home. The plot, design & finish are fab. Credit where credit is due.

Lewis with 5* customer service!

Myself and my wife have recently attended the Avant development at Skelton lake in Leeds. We had been looking at the development and decided to call in for a look and a chat. From the moment we arrived Lewis made us feel welcomed, he had great knowledge of the area and the planned long term development as well. He gave us information to leave with and has been in touch with us since to make sure we have what we need. Credit to Laura!

Whilst I have had ongoing remedial issues, Laura has been superb in relation to rectifying many of these! She’s an asset to Avant and I wish all the contractors who worked on my home would have had the same skill, expertise and knowledge that Laura has. She’s very much in demand on our development (Hawfinch Place) as the quality of her work is of such an excellent standard. Nothing is too much trouble and she often goes above and beyond for customers. I wish Laura had built my home!

Customer Service Experiences

We moved into our Avant home in December 2021. Have had several dealings with different Customer Service personnel during the snagging process. However, we have found Shelby to be the best. We have had many faults/snags, from minor to very major eg replacement of bifold doors and frame after many visits to rectify the problems we were experiencing in this regard. Shelby is the 4th Avant Customer Service contact we have had and is the best by far. Shelby is always pleasant and does her best to help us. She is an asset to the company.

Radford's Meadows- Great experience

Moved into our home about a month ago and so far it has been a very positive experience. Our snag report came back mostly with minor cosmetic defects, but the house has been built to a good standard and the snagger said the window/door thermal insulation is the best he's ever seen in 5yrs in the business.Adam the Site Manager is an absolute credit to the site and to the company. He has sorted things for us usually within 24hrs even when he's been on holiday.

Good house build - poor commitment to maintenance of land

Avant Homes have built a lovely home that I am happy to live in and dealt with my snagging issues when they arose.HOWEVER!!!!!The upkeep of the Development has been poor and the state of the land around the houses is well below the expected standard.We need Avant to improve the communal areas, tarmac roads, remove overgrown weeding and dead plants and then hand it over to Wynyard Grange so that they can take over the maintenance of the land. The residents here are in a state of limbo and have to put up with the eye sore that is our housing estate.

False promises in Wynyard

I too live on the Wynyard Grange development and I feel completely let down by Avant. Our general experience with our house was good (multiple issues that took a long time to address but eventually did) but that was before there was a change in management. There has been lots of broken promises, no estate maintenance leading to overgrown grass and weeds, broken tarmac pavements, blocked drains from builders rubbish, roads and paths not finished, damaged fencing, flooding, missing and dead trees and generally left in a mess. The estate should have been adopted by the estate management company at least a year ago, but due to Avants neglect and unwillingness to bring the site up to an acceptable standard we are left paying high maintenance fees, high council tax and yet receiving no service by anyone. Now Avant have received our money they just don’t care.

Poor Service

I am a resident of Wynyard Grange, by Avant Homes. Having made enquiries with Wynyard Park, I have been advised that the maintenance of Wynyard Grange is entirely your responsibility because the estate has not yet been handed over, or indeed accepted, by Wynyard Park Management.We have Unacceptable length of grass and weeds around the whole of the Avant development. Dead Trees and planting that have been in this condition and reported whilst you were still building over 3 years ago. Flooding / pooling of water to properties adjacent to a neighbouring field. Overall significantly poor maintenance of the development that you walked away from. This is a true reflection of your actual customer service that you provided with our home over 6 years ago when we moved to this estate appointments not for filled, remedial work shoddy & being advised either to contact NHBC or put in a formal complaint through your process which falls in deaf ears. Take your money and run and never look back

If I could give Avant a zero I would!

If I could give Avant a zero I would. Our estate can not be adopted by our local management because Avant has left in area in such a mess. We have broken tarmac pavements, blocked drains from builders rubbish, overgrown public green spaces that resemble a jungle, damaged fencing, missing/dead trees. Avant finished building their last house on the estate, packed up and washed their hands of us. This has been going on for the last 4 or 5 years! Residents were sold lies and broken promises. DO NOT TRUST AVANT!!

The buying experience was smooth. Both Carla, the Sales Executive and Chris, the Site Manager were a delight to deal with. The attributes displayed included, but limited to, the following; professional, knowledgeable, cooperative and a notable pleasure to deal with. The standard of the new home was impressive and the route from reserving to completion was seamless. I also benefited from engagements with the Head Office, and again, the level of expertise was second to none. I would recommend Avant Homes to all. Crack on, and buy one!! RM

Avant Homes Scotland Con Artists, Lowest Of The Low. Customer Service Are Scamming People.Avant Homes Scotland will do everything they can to screw you over. Avant starts off friendly positive and smiles during sale process, Avant will promise you everything as if its the norm when buying a new build house but don't be fooled. The moment you have paid and take keys-sign the move in paperwork on move in day-and list some snags within first 2-3 weeks. Well that's the hard part done for avant homes now your in for a rollercoaster, all will seem well at this point buzzing from your new home but give it some time and you will see what these 1 star reviews from everyone means. Avant customer service and the tradesmen have created more mess/damage on most snags i listed to them than actually tidy them up and fix the problems in the home.Customer services scotland angela hendrie - dawn mcgowan - mhari minge - are the most teamed up little bunch of con artists out. they will act all nice but don't be fooled.you play by there cards or they will cheat you senseless with snags-time delays-and a failure to fix damages etc. If you complain about them you'll get absolutely zero nothing done that's how they work here,so these people i mentioned are there to act as representatives to avants customer service. Don't take my word for it try it for yourself. there communication and management skills are the lowest standard you can get.it will appear as if they will email you etc but just wait until something goes wrong with your home or you raise a complaint further down the line about them. that is when you will see how low these people are to the customers that pay there wages in the gutter. All 3 site managers i have spoken with have all said the same bad news about specifically dawn mc gowan and angela hendrie. Avant as a whole has to be the most talked about company on face book for the last 12 months ta least. Facebook is showing well over 4000 established unhappy customers at time of writing this review.the five star reviews that are for avant home on this site are mostly mainly written by avant s online marketing team you will see the five star reviews have a pattern of the same story-some whom have never even purchased an avant home, they also all have 1 thumbs up like to stop these reviews being flagged for being faked.

Every visit was a pleasure, James was patient and took us through every detail. We have bought a few new builds over the years, and Avant seem to include so many extra’s I though I would need to budget extra for. The process was smooth, simple yet in depth, we came away from the reservations appointment so excited. Can’t wait to move in.
